I love this place. Cocktails are great. Their old fashioned is perfection. The food is so delicious! Every appetizer was so good, but the bruschetta was a particular treat. For entrees, the braised short ribs are divine. And the first bite of the seared scallops and shrimp over spinach and bacon risotto was so savory, I had to put my fork down and just enjoy the flavor. Friends recommended this restaurant and my husband and I decided to try for the first time last week. The staff was not very friendly and when we asked for recommendations, our waitress could not offer any. Ordered an alfredo dish with chicken and there was no chicken. When we brought this to her attention, she proceeded to use the fork to poke around the dish in an effort to find the chicken. When she could not, she offered to bring the dish back to the kitchen. When she returned the dish, there was diced chicken on top of the pasta that was now cold and the presentation was very unappetizing. I have been going to Divine Bistro for years. The atmosphere just always seems to fit the event. A couple of girls getting together for dinner, a large group celebrating a birthday, quick quiet meal with my husband... Devine always seems to come to mind as a great place to go. The staff is welcoming and there is a family atmosphere which I love. The food is consistently wonderful. Both the presentation and flavor make this a epicurean delight. The chef is unafraid to experiment with new things but keeps our favorites on the menu too! The prices are fair and portions appropriate. The bottomless wine is a treat! Risotto, bacon wrapped dates, so many favorites! You can sit outside here as well, which is a great option. Love it. read more

Seriously, how is this place not packed out every night??? There is absolutely NO other place like this in or around Wellington. For a seemingly upper-middle class city, the cuisine here is majorly lacking. Chain restaurants run rampant here and are consistently busy. That breaks my heart, btw, but I digress.... Ok, so Devine: the name says it all! The food here is absolutely top notch. I could go on and on about this place but I will attempt to keep it short. What I've had: heirloom tomatoes, ahi tuna tacos, scallops and risotto, double French dip, and the ribeye. Not all at one sitting! Who does that? ;) Although sometimes I wish I could eat that much so I could have all those tasty things in one go... Everything was superb!!! Like, melt in your mouth, eat the last crumb, slap your mama kind of good. Do yourself a favor. Go here. This place is a home run every single time. Stumbled upon this place recently after getting tired of the same ole, same ole. This is a wonderful, quaint, classy place. Nice menu, great staff and really enjoyed what we've ordered thus far. Had the french dip the first, time - which was awesome. The beet salad is one of our favorites so kind of stayed with that the last few times. They serve a beautiful round of flavorful bread while you are perusing the menus, the regular menu, the specials menu and a third menu. A great variety of selections for most. Five us went on Saturday evening to Divine. The place was about 1/3 full and we had a reservation. We ordered the appetizers which were the Calamari and Beet salad. The Calamari was rubbery and the breading was soggy. The Red sauce really had very little flavor. The beet salad was pretty good. Two of us ordered the Scallops and shrimp over risotto. This was the most disappointing as the shrimp and scallops were small and I think there were only two or three of each and the risotto was terrible. Also, the seasoning was way over done and I had to scrape it off just to eat these tiny morsels. For $28 dollars I think it cost them about $2.00 to make this!! The rest of the meals were ok but for $250.00 there are many places I would rather go. Will not be back. read more

Great food...but a bit pricey. Came highly recommended from my boss so of course I had to try it out. My friend and I went on a Saturday night and the place filled up quickly. We gazed at all the plates going by the table and couldn't wait to try out some dishes. The soup of the night was corn and crab chowder. I can't pass that up as I am a crab and corn chowder lover. It did not disappoint! We then tried the corn fritters...which were a bit of a let down. They had far too much breading and not enough corn. The last appetizer we tried was the crunchy oriental crab rolls. These were a bit strange, but tasted pretty good. For the main courses we shared the seafood spaghetti and the seared sea scallops and shrimp over risotto. Let me just tell you that if I could have licked the plates without looking like a looney...I totally would have. The entrees were prepared perfectly and were served piping hot. Our server was so nice and attentive, our glasses were never empty and even though the place was packed...she never forgot about us. I can't wait to go back and try the seafood quiche! read more

This place is incredibly amazing absolutely love it!! First time here and the service was incredible I ordered off the delight menu for $16 it came with a 3 course meal Caesar salad, chicken penne vodka and dessert! Had a nice meal here with our group of 10. The staff was attentive and everyone liked their meals. I tasted the meatloaf and fried green tomatoes. The portions are very large so I would recommend sharing. Would recommend this place for a casual meal. Oh also, they have a bottomless glass of wine for $6! Awesome! read more

"Nice Addition to Wellington" Friends raved about DeVine Bistro so we tried it. interesting menu. Stared with Organic Roasted Red Beet Salad ,sliced beets, citrus wedges, spring greens, candied walnuts, warmed walnut crusted goat cheese and topped with a basil vinaigrette . Very good and my wife is addicted to beets. Also ordered the Crisp Chili Dusted Calamari roasted tomato aioli and a garlic tomato sauce for dipping. Just fair, needed to be crispier . For entrees, we tried the -Hour Guinness Dijon Braised Boneless Short Ribs mushroom bacon risotto and crispy onions. Must try, fall off the bone tender with lots of flavor. I had the Sesame Seared Ahi Tuna basmati rice, stir fry vegetables, drizzled with a ginger soy glaze , good but not great. They have a very nice wine list but we opted to bring our own wines and pay the corkage. read more

My wife and I ended up going here last minute after bailing on our plans to go to Bone Fish Grill. We were hesitant due to never going here or looking at the menu before. The service was great and the food was phenomenal- from the bread, the bacon wrapped dates, baked stuffed flounder and dessert. All of it was excellent! Definitely will be back. We had dinner at DeVine tonight. Our waitress was very attentive and overall,the food was good. The focaccia bread was fresh. It would have been a nice touch if it was served warm. I started off with the fried green tomato and crab appetizer. The presentation was very nice and it tasted very good. The only problem was that one of the battered and fried tomatoes was very undercooked. I had the seared scallops and shrimp over bacon and spinach risotto and my girlfriend had braised short rib over mushroom and bacon risotto. Both dishes were excellent. My son had chicken parmigiana over pasta which was also good. The portions were good sized. I only had a glass of wine, but they have a nice wine list. For desert we had the warm chocolate cake which was only average. It would have been much better with a liquid or fudge center. Apparently reservations are encouraged. This was the first time we were there, so we didn't know this. We were there early...around 6 on a Saturday night, so they seated us right away but relegated us to the table in back in front of the rest rooms. There are other things on the menu I want to try. We will be back and next time we will have a reservation. read more

One of the best spots in Wellington!! (Very very clean which I have to appreciate) Ordered take out for my mom's birthday and everything was perfect and very large portions. It stayed so hot too! The bread they serve is unique and a better spin on what other places serve. We started with the calamari which was crispy and came with two excellent sauces. For the entree we had the grilled blackened mahi mahi which came with a healthy serving of sides, the fish tasted fresh and perfectly cooked. My grandma had the bone in pork chop and claims its "the best she's had in years, very moist". I had the braised short rib risotto, which was so rich! Every flavor came together perfectly. Their delight menu is only $16.00 and you get a salad or soup, entree and dessert. They have a variety of things on the menu from fresh fish, chicken, steak and pasta. Desserts are amazing as well. This was our first visit to this restaurant. We enjoy a good bottle of wine with dinner and figure this place should be pretty good at that. Haha! Nope! First off we asked for a bottle of Mars, to which we were told was out of stock. Then next bottle of wine we asked for, again out of stock. So, we asked to try a Cabernet and was not impressed. When then decided on a Merlot. The waitress brought the bottle to the table to open it and the cork crumbled. We looked a little closer and realized it was 2012, so it's understandable 10 year old cork. The waitress was not aware of how to handle a crumbling cork so she left the table embarrassed with the bottle. She then returned with the wine in a decanter and said if you like the wine we will give you 50% off. (That kinda worried me with the "if you like the wine"). So we tasted the wine, and unfortunately it was past it's prime and was no good. At this point, we've been trying to get a glass of wine for over 30 minutes (quite annoying now). We decided to go the safe route and just order an OVERPRICED bottle of meiomi. The wine was fine. We thought that at some point the manager would be over to apologize for our experience, maybe offer some compensation. Nothing! We then requested to speak with her. She showed up at our table with "you want to speak to me". We explained our disappointment with the chain of events and stated we thought the wine was EXTREMELY overpriced and her response was "the price is on the menu if you don't want to pay it don't order it". Geez, ok. We weren't looking for anything for free, but at least an apology. No apology for our experience, nothing! She then just walked away. Needless to say we will NEVER return, and you can make your own decisions. But if something isn't right, don't expect them to take ownership and fix it. Seems like it's your fault no matter what. read more

Because of the glowing reviews four of us dined at Bistro Divine on a Saturday night with great expectations. The wait staff is impossibly slow. After our food was delivered we never saw the waitress again until she brought the check. This is a very noisy place, so forget conversation. The crab cakes were tasteless and lacking crabmeat. The pork was undercooked. The tuna was fair. Either this was an incredibly off night or lots of people are delusional. We will NOT go back! read more

Nice atmosphere, interesting menu, reasonable wine list. That's the good Two of four dinners arrived cold, had to send back. Plates were hot, food not so much so. Meatloaf was dried by reheating. Wine pour was a bit skimpy for price. Deserts were excellent, but it took 10 minutes to get the ordered coffee with the carrot cake ( which was pretty darn good) Don't know if the problem was with the kitchen or wait staff not getting the food the table in time, but the restaurant was not busy. Devine has an excellent menu, with American fair offering something for everyone. The ambiance is also pleasant, although the tv sets cheapen the otherwise bistro-appropriate atmosphere. The low point of our visit was the service (or lack thereof). The waiter took a long time to make his first appearance, and only five minutes after we got tired of waiting and asked a staff member to send someone over. That, unfortunately, was a sign of things to come. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time, and saw the waiter only twice again, once when he offered us another beverage, and finally, after a long wait, when he brought us the check. It's a shame the poor service became an anecdotal topic of conversation. It's all we'll remember from our visit. read more

I've been here three or four times and the service is usually slow. Last week I was there with my girlfriends sitting outside and a server came and went three times to the table next to us not even looking our way. I asked her if we could order something and she said she get someone. And no one came after a total of 20 minutes. I had to go inside and ask for attention. I don't understand why there was an issue with the service outside.The hostess the manager and a server finally did help us and were very nice and very sweet. We love the food and drinks.
