Great place for drinks and people watching on the Malecon! The owner and staff are good people and very engaging.

What a great location - right on the beach. Tasty drinks - a bit pricy. Super nice owner. Great place to chat with random tourists. Fun stop in PV.

Cute corner open air bar on the water. Great spot to stop in to grab a drink, watch a soccer game and chat with the friendly staff. They offer a ton of cocktail and shot options with something for everyone. We had micheladas and they were huge! And spicy. Perfect way to spend an hour and get some shade.

This place is great. It's a little dumpy corner bar right in the open air. It's no frills and no bathrooms.... But the entire reason I stopped there was because they advertised they had black cherry margaritas. I love anything black cherry. These drinks hit the spot. A nice breeze going through the place, met a number of people from Chicago& Wisconsin. It is a touristy bar dedicated to the Arizona Sun Devils. But it is a great black cherry margarita!

We first visited this small open air bar in 2016 and had a great time. We live in Tempe, the home of ASU and Sparky (the Sun Devil's mascot). We were on a cruise so only had 1 day in town. I thought I left a review back then but I don't find it now. The owners are ex pats who moved their family down there and opened this fun little Sun Devil themed bar on the Malecon. Like most of the other reviewers we had a great time and enjoyed their exceptional hospitality. We will be visiting Puerto Vallarta again in summer 2023 for 8 days and will be drinking to Sparky's health again at the Devil's Bar!

Aw hell, you gotta stop by here and get a tasty and inexpensive Minerva beer. Even if you don't follow or much care about some Arizona school's mascot, this is a great place to break up your walk along the Malecon. It's in a prime, scenic location too!

Perfect location on the Malecon. Just for a stop in the shade and have a tasty beverage while people watch. Sure it is all kitch in a sense, and not what you might want for your Mexican experience... but you get that the other 23 hours of the day. So drop the culture-seeking adventure attitude for a bit and just go for a fruity mojito or beer, and embrace the tourist for a bit while sitting in the gold and maroon corner.

Exellent micheladas. Buen servicio al borracho.

Exellent micheladas, great service. Right at the malecón. Great ocean view, staff is very friendly. Recommended 100%.

" Great Views, With Great Cocktails " My wife and I visited the Devil's Bar in Puerto Vallarta again, as we came off of our cruise ship. The Devil's Bar is owned by an Arizona Sun Devil Fan, and is a great place to go if you want some nice ocean views, and very tasty cocktails. Melissa and Susy were are Bar Tenders, and were very nice to talk with. They also made some very good drinks. They can also order food from near by restaurant for you, if you are hungry. One of the best cocktails is the Micheladas. They also have a wide variety of different Margarita's to try, along with many Beer varieties. If you are walking down the Malecon in Puerto Vallarta Mexico, you need to stop at the Devil's Bar !

Devil's is a cute little bar right off the boardwalk. It's only bar seating. They specialize is different kinds of margaritas. I got their classic margarita and it was by far the best margarita I had my entire trip. The flavor was great and was easy to drink. The portions are huge, my cup was as big as my face! My friends got the mango and Cucumber flavors. They were great as well. Also best thing is that's it's super cheap too!

    Brandi K.

Really great micheladas! They come in huge mason jars with tajin and salt on the rim for only $80p. This is a small bar right on the Malécon in a high traffic area. There aren't many seats but they are all facing the bar. Some have a view of the ocean. It's always packed. The owner Alan has a bit of a sundevils fetish and it shows!! No food and no bathrooms here but the drinks are great!

Great Bar right on the Boardwalk! Walked here from our hotel everyday to grab drinks and hang out for a bit. Owner Allen was a pleasure to meet and the bartenders were top notch, super friendly, and helpful with local info. Drinks were awesome and prices great. Would definitely recommend!

Best tasting and best value margaritas in Vallarta! Incredible variety of flavors. !

You'll find people engaged in all sorts of activities ....eating, drinking, dancing, and socializing. Andale is the place to have a great time. Today, for some reason, the restaurants and bars on the street seemed less crowded. It was a Wednesday night when we finally stepped foot into Andale's. We ordered margaritas, shots of anejo tequila, and a beverage; we had already had dinner elsewhere. The DJ was playing a mix of 90s R&B, reggaeton, country, and pop music, and the whistle blowing from the staff added to the lively and exciting atmosphere. I must admit, though, the loud whistle blowing now and then annoyed me, I managed to drown it out somehow. If you plan to visit Andale, expect fun and lively atmosphere with plenty of staff ready to serve you.

I had a place in mind,…read morebut it wasn't open yet, so I kept wandering... and that's when I passed right through Andale's. The sidewalk actually runs right between their outdoor seating and the entrance, so you can't help but notice it. It looked relaxed, not too busy, and the staff greeted me as I walked by. I took a quick look at the menu, spotted my favorite tacos, and that was all I needed--I stayed. I asked to sit outside since it was such a beautiful day, with a gentle breeze coming through. Perfect setting. I ordered a beer, some guacamole and chips to start, and the al pastor plate. The guacamole was a great portion--easily enough for two--and I loved that it was chunky with a nice texture and "bite" to it. It came with chips and salsa, making it a solid starter. Then came the al pastor tacos... so good. At first glance, I didn't see any pineapple and thought, wait a minute... but once I took a bite, I realized it was mixed in with the meat--little bits of sweetness tucked into the savory, slightly charred pork. That balance of flavors really brought it together. Service was friendly and attentive, and I noticed a few regulars stopping by and chatting with the staff. That's always a great sign--it tells you this place has a real connection with the people who come here often. Overall, great food, great service, and a welcoming vibe. I'd definitely come back again.

The fried pickles were delicious with a light cornmeal coating served with ranch dressing. BBQ chicken came with fries and was juicy and sauced just right. I did not receive the chicken sandwich but rather a bbq chicken and rib combo served with fries. This appears to be a mistake but we didn't realize until we got home. Meat portions were quite large. Ribs were ok but I'm a rib snob so I wasn't overwhelmed but they were juicy and tender. I wish they gave us more fried pickles. I would return and recommend. Great location. I personally don't love the slaw but I have friends who do. Found out today the coconut shrimp is the best in the marina. It's got good natural coconut flavor and texture with the shrimp still shining through the batter. Good sauce accompanying the meal. It's a special not an appetizer. After looking up good places to go, Bar La Playa came up- and I'm sure glad it did! First, it's easy to get to if you're coming from North. Our Uber was easily able to drop us off without getting stuck in gridlock traffic that can affect certain roads of this area. Additionally, the location isn't a high-traffic area for tourists. That meant we were able to walk up and immediately find seats. Second, the service was top notch. I didn't get the bartenders name, but he was very welcoming, friendly, hospitable and spoke English. Just an overall cool dude and was glad to support his business. Third, the drinks were great. Finally, we were drinking 'real' drinks, not the watered down sugary stuff at the hotel. We were very satisfied with the taste of the drinks. Fourth, the prices are really good. Mexico has gotten expensive and this was a sigh of relief. You can have a great time here without feeling like you paid an arm and a leg. I highly-highly recommend making Bar La Playa your first stop when coming to this area. You're going to get great service, great drinks and all at a price that is reasonable and fair.
