The shop is conveniently located in Warwick, inside the Walmart at the R.I. Mall on Bald Hill Road. Surrounded by cell phone accessories, one woman sits at a desk that is also her workshop. Magic happens here ... She quickly diagnosed that my phone needed a new charging board/port, and explained the repair in a straightforward manner, with a clearly quoted price that was very reasonable. She keeps parts for many phones, but happened to be out of the part for my particular phone, so I had to return a couple days later, when it was re-stocked. No problem, though, she said my phone was also capable of being charged using a wireless magsafe charger (which I didn't know about). She sold me a wireless charger at a very reasonable price, and she was so thorough that she tried it on my phone to made sure it worked, before I left the store. I was very grateful that I was able to use my business phone again, while I waited for the part to be ordered. As promised, two days later, the part arrived, and she contacted me. I returned, left the phone with her, went to do an errand, and when I returned about 45 minutes later, my phone repair was complete, and my phone was fully charged, with a new glass screen protector installed (which I requested) and my phone case reinstalled. I brought it into AAT for an opinion and it was determined that the battery had reached the end of it's useful life. They offered me three choices of battery from economy to best. I chose the best option as I have loved the laptop, I bring it on all my travels and it functions flawlessly. During the repair, it was discovered that the battery management module had failed. The repair took longer because they needed to order a module and replace it to make sure the problem was completely repaired. I understood and waited for the repair to be completed. When the repair was finished, I went to pick up the laptop expecting to have to pay, at a minimum, for the needed part. I was told that there would be NO CHARGE! I actually tried really hard to at least pay for the part, but they said NO, it is covered under the battery repair and that it was their policy to cover the issue. I was shocked, but happy at the same time. It is rare in today's business world to see a business stand up to their work where it would have been very easy to give me a bill and say, sorry it's your laptop and your problem. They did not!! When I returned home and began daily use of the laptop, I discovered another problem with the power/battery operation. The laptop would only turn on from a powered off situation, if the charger was plugged in. I returned it to them and they fixed that problem.....once again, without a charge! AAT was more than fair with their pricing and service. I highly recommend them for any electronic repairs you will need. I would give them 10 stars, but Yelp only goes as high as 5.
