Definitely recommend Develoscapes to anyone looking to find an honest and professional company to help with your landscaping project. Fernando and his team are very knowledgeable and did an amazing job listening to our vision and providing different ideas that fit our budget. Took them only 2 days to complete. Owner (Fernando) made sure to follow up with us after the project was complete to make sure we had no issues or concerns. Employees were very respectful and on time, they left everything clean when completed. Definitely recommend Develoscapes for any project big or small! read more

Updating as the dents and divets in the concrete they poured has gotten worse and worse. I would highly recommend NOT using this business. Concrete laid 2 years ago now looks horrendous. Every time it rains new dents and cracks appeares. Cause is due to impure mix of the concrete. The concrete thet used had filler which causes "crazing cracks." I had thought a few dents would equal 2 stars but now my concrete looks like a destroyed construction site, im updating to 1 star. Stay awaym read more

Did a 160k pool and back yard project. Nothing went well from the moment we signed the contract. First impressions were great and everything after was a disappointment and constant fixes I had to make with other pool and landscape professionals from all their mistakes. From not being pool builders, sourcing out subcontractors, not paying the cement company with the money we gave them, two mechanical liens threatened on our home because they don't know how to manage money. Whole sprinkler system had to be re done, landscape had to be re done, trees were placed by pool when I later found out if they knew what they were doing should never have done that. All being removed and re bought and placed in an entirely new area of yard so it doesn't damage the pool. Poor cement work done, lumpy areas of pool. Pool solar not properly hooked up when they said they did it, separate patio not related to pool re done by them which then I had to get re done again by another company. Had to find another fence company cause they were trying to charge 8k and I got it from fence company for 4k. Delayed project, no shows, communication terrible. I don't actually know what they did correctly. We do not recommend them and highly recommend just going with San Diego Pools for the pool build and a different landscape company for the landscape around the pool. I'm a year past the project and still dealing with things needing to be fixed. read more

They did the concrete around my pool. 6 weeks after completion it is cracking. I contacted the owner Fernando who asked for pictures. I sent seven pictures and then he replied cracks are not covered under warranty. Well why waste my time with photos. I told him I could understand had a year went by but this was a brand new concrete and apparently there is no pride taking in workmanship. The communication was terrible. These kind of companies are all about money and moving on. read more

DEVELOSCAPES for the win!! Our entire process with Fernando was seamless. He gave us everything we imagined our resort-style pool would be and more!! If it wasnt for his designing skills we would have thought our design was great, but he definitely showed us the way and we are so happy. We will be vacationing right in our own backyard this summer!! Thank you Fernando for everything. read more

I had Fernando build me a brand new pool and spa. It has been completed for a few months now. Communication was not the best and don't expect a final clean up from his company. I was left with a bad tile/coping job right from the start. Now the tile has chips and bad cuts and grout is already cracking. Some coping is already coming loose. Was told 2 months ago they would send someone to come fix it and never heard back again. Don't expect any warranty work after the fact from this company. Left my backyard a mess, with shotcrete/concrete over sprayed on my vinyl fence, to broken fence posts that were suppose to be repaired. Only reason for 2 stars is due to pricing, quoted amount is what I paid, but then again you get what you pay for. read more

from me. I can't begin to explain how happy I am with the work Fernando did in my backyard. Just moved into my dream home last year and now have a dream resort style pool in the backyard! Transformative is an understatement. With our resort style pool/spa and fire/water features he "sold" me on, I could not fathom not going with his recommendations. I am most looking forward to having my friends and Family over this summer to show it off but in the meantime I'm going to soak up quality time in my spa surrounded by my beautiful fire features on these chilly nights. Feels magical back here and can't thank Fernando enough for all of his hard work. Timeline of start to finish was spot on and I couldn't be happier with the end result! Thank you read more

Was interested in him having build a pool in my yard. Had him come over and check out my backyard and take some measurements. Fernando was a nice guy but I never heard back. Multiple calls and texts and never got a bid read more

We contracted with Fernando and Develoscapes Landscape to remodel our backyard. Fernando and Juan were very responsive during the sales and planning process and provided good insight and advice regarding features we wanted. Demo was completed in one day, and this involved removal of a giant bird of paradise and several old palm trees. Our new concrete looks great, and Fernando added a premium finish for no extra charge. There were several change orders during the construction in the backyard, and all were accepted and completed in a timely fashion by Fernando and his crew. Despite some challenges regarding availability of materials (electric fireplace insert, first one arrived broken) and dimensions (dimensions provided by the fireplace manufacturer did not match the actual unit, requiring extensive grinding of the poured concrete fireplace), Fernando and his crew displayed impeccable patience, work ethic, and quality of work. The final day Fernando and his crew worked overtime and put in a Herculean effort to complete the fireplace installation and trim it out so it would be done prior to a big rainstorm. During the process there were a few minor communications and scheduling issues that resulted in some temporary frustration, but Fernando and Develoscapes always made a good faith effort to correct these and ensure that we were satisfied. We are very pleased with the final product and would recommend Develoscapes Landscape to others looking to do outdoor remodeling. read more

Sales came out supposedly took measurements, never followed up; had to follow up with them then a proposal appears with no rendering and exorbitant amount of plants, trees, etc as if we live on a 100 acre farm. Unprofessional. Do not recommend read more

Fernando is a great guy, very polite and professional. The quality of his job speak for itself. I highly recommend develoscapes!

Fernando and his team are the real deal; I had an awesome experience with them. After going through a complete nightmare with our former contractor who swindled us and walked off the job - leaving our backyard an incomplete eyesore - I was pretty skeptical of all contractors. But, I still needed my yard to be done, so onto yelp I went (which is what I should have done the first time around - dumb mistake that I'll regret forever). I used yelp's "get a quote" option to get in touch with several different contractors in my area. Fernando was the first to respond and scheduled a meeting with me to see the yard right away. He came out, took some measurements, and sent me a quote. It was a reasonable quote but we had a very tight budget to work with (because former contractor took our money and ran). Fernando was very understanding and compassionate about our situation and worked with me on the numbers so that we could get to something we could afford. Fernando's quote ended up being the best one out of all other contractors we talked to, and his communication style was the best. He is very responsive to texts, emails, and even takes Venmo for payments. He's very high-tech and modern which I really appreciated. His team put together an AMAZINGLY beautiful digital design of what our yard would look like, with plants and hardscape/softscape - it made it so easy for us to make our decision that Develoscapes was the contractor for us. Fernando also answered all of my very nitpicky and annoying questions and put my mind at ease that he was trustworthy and that I would not have the same experience with him that I did with the former guy. Now onto the actual work. I needed about 900-1000 sqft of ground to be covered by a combination of pavers and mulch/plants. I also needed irrigation to be installed throughout. Fernando and his crew started on a Thursday and were finished by Saturday. THREE DAYS - they finished in THREE DAYS. My yard had been sitting empty and uncovered for over TWO YEARS because of our former contractor - Fernando finished in THREE.DAYS. Absolutely amazing, I was blown away. His crew was efficient and worked so quickly, and they were very professional and cleaned up each day. The old contractor left a bunch of his junk and tools and materials scattered around - they hauled all of that away and our yard now looks beautiful and pristine. We're very happy with the results. My biggest regret is not hiring Develoscapes from the very beginning. But hey, you live - you learn. Go with Develoscapes, can't go wrong with them. Highly recommend. Thanks Fernando!! read more

These guys are amazing and I highly recommend them. Fernando was really responsive, and he gave me a great quote. He put his whole team on my project and it was done in less than a week, even though other companies told me it might take 2-3 weeks. They encountered an issue with the water pipe bursting, but even with that repair (which they didn't charge me a lot for) - they still did everything on time. I would totally use Develoscapes again and I recommended them to my friends and family already. My place looks awesome, and I've gotten compliments from my HoA and people just walking on the street. Thanks Fernando and team!!! -Sharon read more

They did a good job on two leaky sprinkler systems, for about $500. There was no invoice, they asked me to calculate it myself and by mistake I overpaid by $50. When I realized, I asked Fernando to keep the money but come back to adjust the new sprinkler heads. He agreed, but that never happened. Must have called him 10 times, texted another 10, over the course of 2 or 3 months. He would answer once in a while, say that he would come, but then never showed up. I assumed the company was going out of business. Too bad, he was competent and knowledgable. If he hadn't ghosted me, I would give five stars too. read more
