The owner asked me if my wife was an adult and said no one forced her to buy anything at the store. I can only assume the owner trains her employees to utilize these tactics and pressures people into buying questionable quality items. Any place who sells high quality goods would have no qualms about allowing returns. I would advise everyone to steer clear of this location and do not walk into the store no matter what the sales pitch may be.

I started getting uncomfortable and realized where it was going so I stopped her and put my hair back up and grabbed my bag and indicated I was going to leave. She said she wanted to ask me one more thing before I left so i answered, and ended up keeping me there for 10 or more minutes. it was a constant cycle of her trying to sell me different things and throwing in free things or a discount and me having to repeatedly (and kindly) tell her no. She also insinuated that it was too expensive for me which i thought was so rude!! I'm a nice person and don't like having to tell people no more than twice so i got really annoyed and uncomfortable by the end. she tried to convince me again and gave me her card by saying next time i come in that it won't be such a good price anymore. I didn't buy anything-- it felt like a scam and offering a "lifetime warranty" wasn't very persuasive when they had no one in the store. 1/10 experience, don't waste your time by giving the benefit of the doubt like i did.

I go here every two weeks for a massage (with Yvette, one of my favorite people in the world). I probably pass 20 or more places closer to Georgetown but I would not think of changing. I can schedule online, can depend on the scheduled time being honored, and know that I'll receive a wonderful and caring massage. It is something I look forward to every other week and it keeps me going. My exercise is cycling and I'm currently doing around 100 miles a week so the massage is critical to keeping things aligned and working right. The rest of the business is also run professionally. I get to see it while I'm there and it is a calm business place. Highly recommend.

The staff is friendly, the facility is in pristine condition, and everything smells ahmazing! I had been hearing about body wraps from tons of other sources (Groupon, spas, co-workers, etc) and was intrigued by the advertisements that claimed to tighten skin, detox, and even contribute to inch loss. I had lost weight over the summer and desperately needed to tighten some flabby skin (I know, ew.) that hadn't had time to catch up with the inch loss yet. And hey, who wouldn't want to detox and lose some more inches too? After a series of three body wraps, I've concluded: -It does tighten (yay, no more gross, loose skin!). -You do lose a few inches overall. It's a little here and a little there but it adds up. -How do you know if you've detoxed? (I know this isn't a conclusion) -Overall, I'm happy with the results. My only critique is that I wish they kept a full supply of both the sensitive body wrap cream and the regular body wrap cream at all times. From what I understand, the creams stimulate blood flow and make you feel warm as a result. For people with more sensitive skin, the regular cream can make you feel like your skin is burning. I tried the sensitive cream the first time to be safe, but they were out of it the second time so I went with the regular. The regular turned me pink for a little bit (it went away in less than an hour) but it didn't bother me at all. Honestly, it just felt like Icy Hot or Bengay. And! I saw way better results with the regular! My skin felt tighter, and I lost almost twice the number of inches overall. That being said, I specifically asked for the regular cream when I arrived for my third wrap. Unfortunately, there was only a small glob of it left, so the majority of what was applied was the sensitive cream. My results the third time around were similar to the first (which again, weren't as good as the second wrap). After my next 10 lb goal is reached (this might take a while since Yelp carbs- delicious carbs that are offered at Yelp events- are hard to resist), I would definitely come back for the wraps again to tighten up. I would just make sure that they have plenty of the regular wrap cream in stock when I make my appointment. 4.5 stars. Edit 9/14: 4.5 stars + Kristin = 5+ stars (please don't ever let her leave)

Nicole is such an educated and intuitive woman who is obviously very good at what she does. She is truly a healer. This was the first time I had a reiki treatment although I had heard about it before and was familiar with some of the concepts. It was such a relaxing and rejuvenating experience, and it gave me a peaceful energy that has lingered with me since I left. Everything about the energy of Awen Bungalow is positive and calming, and I can't wait to go back and see Nicole again!
