I'm not even sure you can do it as economically as letting a pro do it and I attempted it for a number of years. Once I choose to go with pros it really came to down to three things results, the way the lawn looks, price and service. My lawn continues to look great and easy to compare as my neighbor continues to self-treat and it is clearly superior in this side-by-side comparison. Price is what moved from my previous company. Now I'm not saying they are the cheapest out there, but they are clearly in a competitive position in the market. I normally get quotes every three years. Service is always tricky because it means different things to different customers. For me my expectations for my lawn care company are to let me know when they are coming, let me know and provide the services to be delivered, let me know my pricing for the upcoming season. What I don't want is the tech knocking on my door at every treatment wanting to upsell on something, this is what drove my pricing issue with my previous company. Lawnmark delivers all these things! Business relationships are like all relationships at times have bumps in the road. It is how these are handled determines if the relationship will continue forward. This was such a year with us. I got my estimate for the upcoming year and was shocked at the increase. I wrote an email and within 2 days I had a reply. It explained how the bill is prepared and the flexibility I had to modify it to fit my current year's needs, done. If you are looking for an easy-to-deal with company who delivers the services, they sell give them a try.

Andy and Matt showed up right on time for an assessment. They thoroughly explained options and came back with an estimate we thought was a bit high. But they presented a lower cost option which we accepted. We were confident that they didn't oversell the need for repairs as the work they proposed matched our expectations. They also presented us with a no-interest deferred payment option. The roofers showed up 2 weeks later, right on time. The team of Jose, Raul, Chiva, Arail, Tonya and Erica got right to work and efficiently did their jobs. Behind every good team is a good foreman and ours was Rodolfo, whom we liked immediately - friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Unfortunately, a shingle-supplier glitch resulted in Rodolfo going off-site for 3 hours to retrieve the needed shingles. Little things started happening while he was gone and the language barrier made it difficult to communicate with the team until Rodolfo returned. Fortunately, he straightened things out and the job then proceeded and completed as expected. He even threw in 3 additional pieces of replacement plywood! The team was able to work with the power company when they moved wires so the rake could be replaced. 2 of the team diligently combed the yard picking up litter and nails. By the time the team left, the yard hardly looked like anyone had been there! Rodolfo took many pics of the roof work and immediately shared with us the link to the pics. We are quite pleased with the way the roof looks now. Gutter replacement is next. We would have given Vaillancourt 5 stars if not for the supply issue, so 4 stars it is. Although we were in touch with Rodolfo during his absence, it was still stressful not having him on site the entire time. Still, we would strongly recommend Vaillancourt Roofing to friends and neighbors!

We hired Adam Vaillancourt Roofing & Gutters to install a gutter specifically to address melting…read moresnow dripping onto our front steps and creating hazardous ice. The gutter was recommended as a solution during consultation, but after installation, the ice issue remained unchanged. There was no meaningful improvement. When we raised this, the company maintained the gutter was functioning as designed and declined responsibility. We do not dispute that they are working as they should, but we had been told that they would resolve the ice buildup. We were offered only a small goodwill discount and encouraged to consider additional paid solutions. After multiple attempts to resolve the issue directly, we ultimately had to pursue a credit card dispute to recover part of the cost. It was resolved in our favor. We recommend getting very specific expectations in writing before proceeding with this type of work.
