This was my first child to get married, and I had so much to learn! She helped me navigate the maze of event planning. She met with me several times, allowed me to do multiple walk-throughs, try out different ceneterpieces, etc. and was on-site with us the whole night - even the day after Thanksgiving! The space is lovely - dark wood, elegant furnishings and fixtures. Two beautiful rolling bars that were enormously helpful. Tables, chairs, bar stools all included. The view from the patio is stunning. If you're doing an evening event, make sure it includes sunset! We couldn't have been happier!

They do have catering available; our conference had a full breakfast + tea/coffee/drinks available throughout the day. The food was fine, but I do have to give credit for their house-made, very moist, and tasty blueberry muffin! The restrooms were plentiful and clean, and the staff were so very nice and friendly. The 18 hole "Ralston Creek" is an exciting 18 hole regulation course, where you need to step up your game a notch, if not these 2 courses will cut you in half.. From the longest tees, the course plays to about 7,446 yards of golf for a par of 72, that my friends is about current U.S.OPEN length, with a lower slope rating though.course rating is 74.4 with a slope rating of 134. The Nationwide tour still hosts an event here and truthfully, if there were the room for bleachers, concessions and transportation. With a few weeks work to narrow the fairways and toughen up the greens, I believe the PGA could host an event here, it is that good. The course was designed by Rees Jones and opened in 2006. The 18-hole "Beresford Creek" course at the Daniel Island Club features 7,093 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . This is the older of the two courses and opened around 2000.The course rating at Beresford Creek is 74.4 and it has a slope rating of 134, so it plays shorter, but no less difficult.

I've been to baseball games across the country. I've been lucky enough to be in luxury suites at every type of sporting event as well. So my first visit to this luxury suite at the Riverdogs stadium and I was sold. It's fantastic! After picking up our tickets at will call you head to the stairs or the elevator and go to floor 3. Douglas meet us at the entrance to check our tickets, give us wrist bands and explain about the free beer and food. The room is from home plate all the way down past the first base line so it's huge. The bathroom was nice and super clean (I thought of our dear friend Mike M when I saw how nice it was). For free beer they had on draft Bud, Michelob Ultra, an Amber, Fat Tire and an IPA. Both the Fat Tire and the IPA ran out before the end of the game so I switched to Bud! And the food. Soooo much! Burgers, dogs, bbq and brisket with all the sides and fixings you could ask for. From the suite you don't have to stay inside you can go out and join the crowd in a whole section of seats as well. I could keep going on about how great of a time I had, but I think you have caught my drift by now. I hope to get spoiled again and get to go back!

The boat has two main decks, one inside with air conditioning or heat and windows along both sides, and an upper deck that's open air with a canopy. There's also a very small room on the lowest level they call the Key West room that can be used for some things but is generally not available for most guests. The boat has two bathrooms at the back on the middle level. Overall the boat was clean and didn't rock much in the calmer inshore waters of Charleston harbor. I will say their contract is very rigid, giving almost no rights to the customer; everything in it favors the Carolina Girl, even if things don't go as planned and it's their fault or the boat breaks down. Make sure you review the bill carefully because they claim they don't provide refunds for overpayments, but they do have a mandatory tip which they ask you to pay before the event even happens. The captain was supposed to call out sights along our route (he changed the route without telling us) but he never did. He also cut our route short to make sure we returned to the dock on time, only to arrive 15 to 20 minutes early. The owner's wife, Courtney, was helpful in the beginning to get everything rolling. Our coordinator, Camille, was very strict and at times not accommodating, but was quite professional. Kayla was super friendly and helpful on the boat during our event. But be warned they can be very strict on catering, food options, use of their kitchen, music, glass on board, bringing your own drinks, location of the dinning tables and more.
