Service: phenomenal! Reid was the best! My group of 12 girls felt very attended too. It was a wonderful day at the pool. The drinks kept flowing at the cabana and were served pool side. Food: Chips & Salsa Trio- refreshing! The pineapple salsa was sweet and tangy. If you run out of chips, they will give you more! Sliders & Fries- perfectly made! The sliders were well seasoned and the fries were wonderfully crispy. Steak Tacos- pass. It was a let down after having the sliders. What a lively modern upscale venue. Went to see Bob Moses and was really impressed by the layout, superb sound, vivid motion visuals and beautiful people enjoying themselves. With the right promoters this could be Charleston next biggest place. The EDM music the DJ was playing was great. No down side to it as I could tell. Hope they become majorly successful. read more

This place is a joke. It's a small space of "paradise " in a commercial area near the highway and railroad yard. It's was sold to use from the Airbnb as a resort area to utilize. This is NOT for tourists! It's for local 30 somethings who want to snap photos for their INSTA. We went there thinking we would have lunch and swim. First the lunch was so expensive, poor service then we were told we could not use most of the beach chairs. They were reserved for full members. All the cabanas were rented out too. All the cabanas were girls getaway groups and bachelorette party. It was so annoying - not relaxing at all! The pool is small, the garden area is fake grass and there were work spaces. I don't know why the concierge did not explain the function of the facilities when I booked my day passes. It was a waste of time. Again this is not a welcoming tourist spot! Do NOT go! read more

We were never informed they were EVICTED by the property owners for failure to make their rental payments for 2 months!!! As a transplant to the Charleston area from the Northeast, the Wonderer has been my place to meet amazing people and escape my home office since I work remotely. They have literally everything that I need, Evoke is the coworking facility, a clubhouse to grab a morning coffee, after-work drink, or bites to eat. There are very cool spaces to work outdoors as well (especially in a cabana by the pool or the rooftop deck), yoga, sound bath, meditation, networking and social events, a gym and so much more! And you must have lunch or dinner in their restaurant, Bhava. It's some of the best food in town. This is where I find community. The people and space here provide me with a new and better standard of work-life-social balance. I save time and money by having everything I need and love in one place. If it weren't for The Wonderer and the amazing people who work here, I would feel lost. They have become the reason I can say that I can actually call Charleston my new home. read more

What a rough experience we just had there (it's a Thursday morning, by the way). The check in/welcome process was so horrific, the rest of the day was just subpar. The hostess (and then manager) embarrassed us by saying we couldn't bring our bags into the bathroom to change our outfits (this marketing that can leave your luggage is essentially false, you actually can't bring your luggage in if you planned to use it to get ready in the locker rooms). If I had known that, I wouldn't have had our entire group meet there after the airport. This place seemed trashy based on their lack of trust with their customers. Wouldn't recommend this place if it's your first stop to visiting Charleston, as they aren't welcoming. read more

Very very disappointed. The venue was recommended by our Airbnb Stay Duvet. We flew in early on Saturday so we thought let's go and lay by the pool. A daily pass is $30 per person. We were told could not bring luggage to the pool had to check them $10 per bag. We were the. given a tour of the premises only to learn there were no chairs available to lay by the pool Which at that time I mentioned there is no where to sit. The lady said yes we fill up fast no mention of a refund it was like oh well. Had a nice roof top bar only to learn no bartender on duty but could sit there if we wish to. The cafe where you can have coffee etc was closed due to someone getting a facial. Rather than allowing people to enter and taking their money it would have been nice to be told the pool was full. We paid $80 for the 2 of us to get a tour. Would never recommend this venue. read more

Came to the pool here as a guest with my friends on a Sunday and it was amazing! Gorgeous relaxing vibe & nice locker rooms. our server MC was super sweet and food was delicious, also reasonably priced ! Can't wait to make a trip back here in summer when they have DJs during the day. read more

WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY. Absolute lies. Came here for my bachelorette and it was raining but we had already paid for a cabana. We were the only ones there and they first tried to tell us we had to pay double what the contract said luckily one of my bridesmaids is an attorney and marked out the line they had me sign with two different prices. then was told if we leave we would get refunded since everyone was getting refunded that day. Then they emailed us saying we can't get refunded and the employees that told us that had no authority. We tried to order coffee and they said we only have coffee available during the weekdays.... They were so rude minus one employee the bar tender who felt so bad. I will be reporting this place as there was miscommunication on their end and trying to make us pay more since apparently they employee that signed us up got fired was the story and the policy changed 2 days ago. read more

The front desk staff was very rude. The told us we didn't have a reservation even when we showed them our confirmation email and code. We bought 4 tickets 2x for our group but were told that we would have to purchase a cabana instead for $500 + extra for food and drinks. Then another worker who didn't announce his title told us that the cabana areas weren't even uncovered or set up. The front desk girls gave us attitude when we asked for our refund. Would not recommend for weddings as you aren't getting what you pay for. We attended a wedding in which a party was booked for that evening. While the ceremony garden area was perfect, as I was helping the bride's mother, we had to search out needed elements/tables from amongst stockpiled furniture all around the venue. The women's locker room was not optimal for bridesmaid or bride dressing (think pool locker room). As of 30 minutes prior to wedding, the reception area had not been started decorating so could not be seen complete and approved by any family members. Yet, the end of the wedding was overshadowed by decorating for the nighttime event. Excessive charges for every.single.item - a bar with beverages we never saw, every heater, a fire pit that couldn't be lit. The staff was extremely condescending to the family's questions and annoyed me, as a guest, in their lack of professionalism. I'm glad the wedding and bride were beautiful but it was not due to the expensive venue which underperformed. read more

A group of 6 guests came to visit through our Airbnb concierge service. The front desk girl, Nalene, was the most disrespectful rude girl that needs to be taught how to work in customer service. When we arrived there was no one at the front desk, so after some time of waiting we decided to look around and noticed the pool along the way we saw a room with towels. As we walked out to the pool, Nalene came walking towards us very aggressively telling us we were out of line grabbing towels. There was no welcome or can I help you. We had never been to this place before, we had no idea how it all worked. She continued to aggressively tell us we crossed the boundaries and showed us to the empty pool, and told us we could only sit in the back row. She was incredibly short and rude in her words to us. I asked to speak to the mgr, Charlie and she said he wasn't available. When our very sweet waitress approached us we asked her if the other girl was ok, she said I think so but maybe she had a bad day. Then Gabby took our order very kindly and got the manager, Charlie for us. Charlie apologized for the front desk behavior and told us we could sit where we want. The place is obviously struggling with what to be and our initial experience basically ruined our moods. We did have a good lunch and went on our way. I have gone 2 years in a row visiting for a bachelorette trip. The staff are so incredibly kind and friendly, they really set the vibes! We went for a very fun pool day this Saturday, 9/28 and we got to know Reid, Paul, MacKenzie and Kay who were the BEST staff. They really made our bridal party and definitely bride feel very special. Our service was very quick getting a drink by the pool. We ordered a lot of the fun cocktails (and the truffle fries were amazing). The entire time spent was such a vibe, from the ambience and decor we felt transported to Tulum, the amazing set list from the DJ and the welcoming hospitality from the staff. 10/10 recommend! read more

Terrible experience and worse staff. We paid $60 to get in and grabbed a couple seats by the pool. Then a super rude employee told us the seats were reserved. So we paid $60 to get in and what? Stand by the pool with literally no place to sit. Not a single chair available. So we left after 5 minutes and asked for a refund because we had never been told about the reservation policy at check-in and they just said "read the fine print" and "we don't do refunds." Nice. The place is fine, though not exceptional and definitely not as nice as some people say, and apparently the terrible service we received was not an exception. Read the reviews and maybe go if you're desperate. So bad. read more
