Once you enter you can feel all of the history in this building and it is a part of the experience of being there. I really like all of the portraits that are displayed throughout the building and all of the furniture and other furnishings. The building multiple levels and is big enough to host several hundred people for a larger gathering. I like the staircase and all of the wood floors in the venue too. This is a great place to celebrate and gather and be a part of the history of Charleston. I look forward to being able to come back here many times.

I have worked with Lowndes Grove through a vendor company for weddings on multiple occasions…read more Overall this venue is absolutely stunning. Couples are able to pick two different areas for the ceremony and reception all on the same property (this works great for all budgets.) Lowndes is located right downtown Charleston by Hampton Park so you don't have to deal with the narrow streets and high traffic. There is parking on the premises and plenty on the street. Lowndes also has connections with a ton of vendors (photographers, draping, florists, caterers, etc) that they can recommend. Highly recommend for how lovely everything is and how great and knowledgeable the staff is. Weddings here are always seamless. And of courses there are rooms for the bridal party to get ready and stay.

The 18 hole "Ralston Creek" is an exciting 18 hole regulation course, where you need to step up your game a notch, if not these 2 courses will cut you in half.. From the longest tees, the course plays to about 7,446 yards of golf for a par of 72, that my friends is about current U.S.OPEN length, with a lower slope rating though.course rating is 74.4 with a slope rating of 134. The Nationwide tour still hosts an event here and truthfully, if there were the room for bleachers, concessions and transportation. With a few weeks work to narrow the fairways and toughen up the greens, I believe the PGA could host an event here, it is that good. The course was designed by Rees Jones and opened in 2006. The 18-hole "Beresford Creek" course at the Daniel Island Club features 7,093 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . This is the older of the two courses and opened around 2000.The course rating at Beresford Creek is 74.4 and it has a slope rating of 134, so it plays shorter, but no less difficult.

There are multiple rooms with walls that can be put up or collapsed depending on the size of the event + smaller rooms on the periphery for smaller workshops / exhibits , etc. There's only one floor (the lower floor is a parking garage, and guests don't have access to the third floor) and an outside free parking lot across the entrance. They do have catering available; our conference had a full breakfast + tea/coffee/drinks available throughout the day. The food was fine, but I do have to give credit for their house-made, very moist, and tasty blueberry muffin! The restrooms were plentiful and clean, and the staff were so very nice and friendly. It was sooo cold inside though, so definitely bring a jacket.

I've been to baseball games across the country. I've been lucky enough to be in luxury suites at every type of sporting event as well. So my first visit to this luxury suite at the Riverdogs stadium and I was sold. It's fantastic! After picking up our tickets at will call you head to the stairs or the elevator and go to floor 3. Douglas meet us at the entrance to check our tickets, give us wrist bands and explain about the free beer and food. The room is from home plate all the way down past the first base line so it's huge. The bathroom was nice and super clean (I thought of our dear friend Mike M when I saw how nice it was). For free beer they had on draft Bud, Michelob Ultra, an Amber, Fat Tire and an IPA. Both the Fat Tire and the IPA ran out before the end of the game so I switched to Bud! And the food. Soooo much! Burgers, dogs, bbq and brisket with all the sides and fixings you could ask for. From the suite you don't have to stay inside you can go out and join the crowd in a whole section of seats as well. I could keep going on about how great of a time I had, but I think you have caught my drift by now. I hope to get spoiled again and get to go back!

The program leaders were stellar as well with their teaching, guidance, and humor. They provide the materials, so no need to BYOB (bring your own bow) but after today I'm considering to get one haha and seeking out more archery opportunities! As soon as you get there, they go over the safety rules and how to hold your bow with methods on pulling back and aiming. I felt such strength to pull the bow using my back muscles, to see the arrow shoot so fast. I loved the power of the release and hearing the sound of arrow pierce the target. There's several targets with each one set according to yardage so you can either start ambitiously or work your way up. The instructors also gave us some balloons to work with to try to aim for, that was entertaining. For safety purposes they command when to retrieve arrows, and while aiming we are to remain behind the concrete lines to ensure safety. For only $20 to unleash your inner Katniss Everdeen, it's worth it! My only complaint was I wish the course lasted longer!! The park also has a 3D archery range to which you practice on fake animals. 10/10 would recommend!
