New Destination in Allen, how can you not go here if you love to train! Just love going here, have some of the best equipment in the Dallas Metro area! Especially love all the Prime Equipment and the tons of dumbbells available. You can come to this gym and look pretty and do a photo shoot or you can get train like an animal, The atmosphere is friendly, and cordial... but people are also training hard.... the talkers are usually hanging out at the counters and couches , eating and whatnot....not sitting on machines with cell phones like the box gyms. This is more than a gym-- this place a second home, this place is FAMILY! I travel a lot, but live nearby to Destination and can honestly say the atmosphere of this gym is unlike any I've ever visited. The members are truly amazing and so welcoming!! Tons of unique bodybuilding equipment, strongman and powerlifting equipment, and indoor/outdoor cardio. On site FST, sports massage and chiropractor. They always have fun events going on too-- seminars, breakfast and barbells, semi truck pulls, you name it. The better bodies clothing store is conveniently located in the gym as well, so prepare your wallet for temptation hahaha It's a weightlifter's paradise under one roof! read more

Very impressive gym. Not the best but very close. The personnel were extremely friendly and worth the visit alone. The gym itself is interesting. It has a small cardio area. A small outdoor training area. A small CrossFit area. And a small private area which could be for posing or stretching. There is a LOT of squat equipment. Many locations to use squat racks. As well as a mono-lift. I would say almost 25-30% of the gym space is specifically squat/leg purposed. The majority of the equipment is plate-loaded. Dumbbells go up to a very large poundage. Like most REAL gyms (not health clubs) the members keep to themselves and do their work. No one here is BSing about their day or family life. They come to work and train hard. With that said you will see some MONSTERS here. All in all a very impressive gym. And certainly worth the stop. Biggest issue I had here was they have a large apparel area but literally 5-7 options of clothes in obscure sizes that represent Destination Dallas. Normally I like to take a shirt when I get to a new awesome gym but this place sadly couldn't deliver. read more

I have been a member at Destination Dallas since March. I am a 50 year old women trying to get back into shape. I signed up with a great trainer Peyton Shugart and I can honestly say I have never felt better about myself since I started this journey. The place is big and you never feel you have to wait on equipment. The equipment was intimidating for someone like me but having a trainer walk you through it was the best choice I have made. I don't know where to start.....this gym has everything you need to accomplish any fitness goal you have. The machines old school but newly made with some of the more modern machines that actually work. The thing that I loved the most was the atmosphere in the gym. I wish I had a "real" gym like this close to my house. 99% of the people at this gym look like they compete like myself or know what they are doing because everyone looks great. The people that I've seen come to the gym to get a workout not come to socialize or sit on the phones. Plus the gym is extremely clean!!! I found BJ Penn's gym in Hilo, Hawaii. It is a bad ass hard core gym. I loved it. I said, when I get back home, I'm going to find a gym like this one. As it turns out, not 5 minutes from my house is Destination Dallas Texas. I walked in, and with the metal blasting, and the look and feel of the place, I knew this was my place, my people. Absolutely love this gym. This gym is the prime hub of the Dallas-Fort Worth area for hardcore gym goers. People travel all the way from Fort Worth, Sherman, Denton, and beyond for this gym. Whenever I travel I am unable to find anything that compares to ...destination Dallas. I feel so lucky to be within a 20 minute drive of this breeding ground for greatness! This is my gym for several reasons. I am a powerlifter and there is a great support system here for powerlifters, whether you do raw, single ply, or multi-ply lifting. There are plenty of people doing one or a few of these variations of powerlifting, across several federations, so you will find your niche among the diverse group. Even when I come to this gym alone in off-peak hours, I'm able to find someone to spot me. There's a lot of knowledge among the powerlifters here, and I love to be a sponge. Equipment wise, we have everything a powerlifter or strongman could need. We have 2 monolifts, a power bench, several squat racks, 2 deadlift platforms, chains, bands in all colors of the rainbow, plenty of Texas power bars, and many other types of bars including a trap bar, a Buffalo bar, a cambered bar, a safety squat bar, and some fat bars. There is also a dedicated part of the parking lot to the side of the gym for strongman and "real" cardio. There's tires, a sled, a prowler, stones, a yoke, a log, and stone platforms. But the powerlifters make up maybe 10% of the gym population here. There is a big culture here surrounding the pursuit of posing on stage. At any time you'll see people slinging around their jugs of mysterious fluids, sitting at the bar eating their Tupperware meals, taking off their pants and flexing in the mirror, waltzing around with a pack of professional photographers following them, and taking ironic selfies with doughnuts to post on social media so people of the Internet could ogle at the juxtaposition of their hard, veined bodies and the soft, sugary baked goods. Point is, there is never a dull moment at this gym. You can come visit just to people watch and you'll have plenty of entertainment for several hours. If not, as long as you're not here to do cardio (there are just a few machines [AS THERE SHOULD BE!!!]), you can join this gym/community and leech off of the talent and hard work that is the norm here. They also have other fun things going on besides having an ideal environment for bodybuilding, powerlifting, and strongman. There are yoga classes, posing classes, personal training, and boot camps. (And no bullshit like Zumba). Finally, if you're someone who is a novice, do not be intimidated by the sizes and strength you'll find here. We all started somewhere and got help from people who were more experienced. This gym is a great place for anyone who wants to get in shape and learn from the best. read more

Been going to this gym for a few months now and I've never felt more pumped to work out than any other gym. (Been to Texas family fitness, fitness connection, rec centers, and others) The people get pumped and the workouts feel more fulfilling when everyone else is really putting in work. Watching the body builders train is also a huge push for me to train even harder as well. They also provide food and energy drinks that are well balanced and help you count your meals. Looking at staying at this gym much longer than any other gym. The staff will also help you choose what is good for you and they won't hesitate to give you a few pointers if you're hesitant about training a certain way. It is a solid gym!! read more

I love this gym. I have only been going for 2 months, but it feels like longer. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The people there are awesome. If you want to be in an environment to better yourself, Destination is exactly that. Just being there motivates you. And being around others who are so dedicated is also motivating. I have been there at all times of the day. Really late at night, very early in the morning. Mid afternoon... you name it, it's never overwhelmingly busy, which is a plus for me. They have just about every machine and workout equipment imaginable... I knew when I was on the hunt for a gym that I was searching for a second home. And I found it here! I love destination and I love the people and they really do make you feel like you are at home and progressing towards your goals. I love this gym so much. Ive been going here for a year now. Its a little drive but heck i dont mind it! I have never been so comfortable at a gym before but this is a gym that will indeed treat you good. I was intimidated at first, i mean cause you know ITS DESTINATION DALLAS where i thought a bunch of strong, brolic, and buff people goes too (which is true). This gym has all the specialty equipment you'd need. I love the variety in the specialty bars for squats/Bench. The reverse hyper and glute ham are also great pieces of equipment. They have an area outside to do sleds and farmer walks as well. Great training environment, and the thing I love is that they don't blast the music volume into oblivion.
