I've been waiting a few weeks before writing this review because I wanted to live with my hair for a bit and be sure before leaving a review. I had a great experience my first visit to this salon. Kellie, the managing owner colored and cut my hair and it's without a doubt the best color and cut I've ever had. I hesitated when I heard the cost because it's more than I normally spend but now I can confirm that it was worth the cost. I'm very happy with how it turned out and will be going back on my next Destin visit. Very intimate and personal experience. Kellie and her staff are true hair artists and professionals. Highly recommend! read more

Destin Hair Studio - I'm obsessed with how good my color turned out! - Hair Salons Near Me - Destin, Florida

Always amazing! Drive 1.5+ hours and it is worth it every time. The service and products are top notch!

I had my wedding hair and makeup scheduled for our beach wedding. Unfortunately this was changed due to covid although Kellie allowed me to use my deposit for a future visit. I had my hair done for our anniversary trip and family pictures. I had my hair done by Kristine who was wonderful! She was a joy to talk to and listened to what I wanted. This is a beautiful salon in a great area! I would highly recommend for your regular salon or while in town! See you next time! read more

We are highly disappointed with our experience at Destin Hair Studio. Alongside his patronizing attitude, Owner Ashley Hyer has refused any sort of refund, as he has stated that he "knows the business world" and it is "just not happening". We very kindly and graciously emailed our disappointment to him directly along with photos. We do not trust this salon to fix what they have messed up. The appointment with Joy was a big mistake. My middle school aged sister (the one whose hair was ruined) dealt with peer comments the first day she walked into the school with this hair. She is now at school again worrying about hair that my Amazing friend Maureen Walker is going to color correct for us. (Highly recommend!). After spending 280 on just the service (not including tip) at Destin Hair Studio with Joy on September 19,2022, I feel compelled to warn others who may have high hopes based on other reviews or even just location of this salon. read more

Kellie cuts my hair on the regular, and I am always happy (as is my wife) with the results. Aside from the actual haircut itself, I find Kellie to be funny, down-to-earth and enjoy the studio's vibe. read more

Be careful quote less to get in door then this -Not happy was quoted $300 but yet she charged me $400 and took forever due to her back injury! She never returns calls after I seen charge on statement I called immediately guess time to do credit card dispute! I get that COVID has hurt businesses but overcharging customers is a bit much! read more

In town for wedding, they accommodated four of us with curls and blows. We all came out happy with our hair and experience. Great ladies

Christina singlehandedly did color, cut and style for all three of us at the same time. She was kind, professional and excellent. The other employee was completely not interested in helping her. That's okay, she got a 35% tip for being so awesome. read more

Wow what a terrible job ruining my nieces hair and unprofessional attitude in trying to resolve the situation. Do not recommend this salon!

Kelly was a disappointment and a mess. Not only did she book my appointment along with 2 other clients at the same time, I had to wait over an hour to find another stylist willing to make a real appointment for me. All that time, Kelly let me sit there and watch her do another clients hair during my appointment time. And then another client for Kelly walked through the door. Kelly didn't even look my direction or offer an form of apology, she ignored me. She either cannot figure out how to schedule clients appropriately or she is a mean person with a terrible attitude. Either way, I'll never attempt to book an appointment with Kelly ever again. read more

My wife went there to get her hair and makeup done for our wedding. She waited almost 20 minutes to get her hair done. The lady was a little rude. Her hair turned out great. She asked for a nude looking makeup look and showed the other lady a picture and gave her a smoky black eye for her wedding. She was really upset after the lady finished her makeup. She was almost late so after telling her 10 times she wanted no black on her eyes she gave up. read more

$$$$$ Over charged. Salon charged me $250.00 for a cut and color. My stylist pleasant enough but one of the stylist Made the comment that they are Sick of Tourist and Don't Care Who Knows It. (She is one who decided on my hair service price). I would recommend to get your price for a services upfront especially if your a vacationer. This time i will also have to go home and get this cut redone... which can happen anywhere...my hair looks like she forgot to finish the left side. Color ok but nothing spectacular...not because she didn't try she did. But reason for bad review is way overcharged for services! read more

Roger is not only amazing with color, he gave my husband the best haircut he's ever had.

When I moved to Destin, I started my search for a new hair salon. There are so many options and I really wanted a place with good vibes in addition to a great stylist. After reading tons of reviews, I booked with Christina V. at Destin Hair Studio. On my first visit, Kelly, the owner, made me feel so welcome and I just love her salon. It has a cool vibe and is just very cozy and inviting. Christina was fabulous and worked wonders on a color correction (from my previously botched highlights) and got my blonde back where I wanted it. Even at platinum blonde, she keeps your hair healthy. It also felt more like catching up with a friend than getting my hair done because she is just fun and very down-to-earth. I've seen her several times since and am always super happy with my hair (both color & cut). I recently went a bit darker and absolutely love the layers of color she achieved. Pricing is comparable to other salons in the area as well. I highly recommend Destin Hair Studio and my girl Christina if you're looking for the perfect salon and an exceptional stylist! read more

I live in Tennessee and will only have April do my hair for her outstanding work and how very detailed oriented April is. I first met April in Georgia and she is now at Destin Hair Studio. I specifically plan my short vacations with an appointment with April. She's the best in town!!! read more

My husband and I pulled in to Destin this week and I needed a perm! Luckily, there was a cancellation and Joy was able to get me in. She was very warm and welcoming. She listened to what I needed and did an excellent job. She surprised me with a head massage at the end of the procedure... it was amazing! The shop is lovely. I highly recommend Joy at Destin Hair Studio! read more

Christina did a fantastic job styling my girls' hair for family pictures on the beach. She was friendly and professional. I would highly recommend her! read more

Kellie and Joyce are amazing hair stylist! Very knowledgeable, creative, and friendly! Fabulous locally owned shop in the Destin Harbor! Very much recommend! read more

This was the worst cut and color I have every gotten. My hair was not cut evenly at all and it's not blended. There are spots of no color all over my head and it looks absolutely horrible. This salon is extremely overpriced for the services they offer. read more

Kelli W. Is absolutely amazing. Extremely talented cosmetologist with care for her clients. Can not wait to recommend to several friends!!!

I was in Destin on business and decided to impulsively get my haircut. I am so glad I did! Roger gave me one of the best haircuts I've ever gotten. He is a perfectionist and it shows in the cut I got. Icing on the cake; Roger was so nice and amiable that, by the time I left the salon, I felt like I'd made a friend. I would highly recommend this salon and Roger in particular. read more

Kellie is amazing! I'm from out of town and this was my first time visiting Destin. I got my nails done at Harbor Nails that morning and asked if they knew of a good hair stylist who can do a wash and blow dry on my curly hair for a wedding. They recommended Kellie and so I called her and I was in luck! She squeezed me in to her busy schedule and was great! So friendly, her salon is chic, clean with modern decor and she had the latest hot products that celebrities are using and salons down the street don't have. You can see that she clearly works hard and takes pride in her work. Looking forward to seeing you on our next vacation. I got several comments about my hair at the wedding. Thank you! read more

Kellie has cut and colored my hair since we moved to the area 2 years ago. I'm so glad I took a chance on her because she has never let me down. Just this week Kellie worked her magic on me big time! My hair went from long and lifeless to short and bouncy with the easiest and best style I didn't even know existed!! Kellie is the best and she makes me feel like we've been friends our whole life. She always has a smile and boosts my mood every time I see her. You can't go wrong choosing to visit this place! read more

I live out of town, and I visited Kellie when I needed my makeup and an updo for a beach wedding. She came highly recommended. She was truly talented and created the perfect beachy-do that stayed in all day and got many compliments. She did my makeup just the way I wanted and she was a pleasure to work with, lots of fun and creative. I highly recommend her and will absolutely return to her when I return to the Destin/Fort Walton Beach area. read more

I was lucky enough to get appt last minute. my cut and the conversation was great!! Definitely recommend!

Kellie is a fantastic stylist! I am a snowbird from Wisconsin and I was fortunate to discover Kelly 2 years ago during our stay. I loved the color and cut she gave me so much that I went back a second time that year and again the next year. We will be back in the Destin area again this winter 2017 and I cannot wait to be in her chair again! I wish she would move to Wisconsin...but why would she?? I don't even want to be here in the winter!! read more
