I've been going to La Nails for at least 15 years. THINGS I LIKE: Convenient to my residence Easy to get an appointment Clean environment Service request usually met THINGS I DON'T LIKE: Price varies for the same service from one visit to the next both higher and lower? Tech is rushing through service (2 minor injury incident in last 6 months) As of late tech is condescending (familiarity breeds contempt?) THINGS I HATE: Technicians speak with each other in their native language, often giggle and laugh ... at us the customers? Will I go back? My friend and I just went there right after opening around 9:45. They rushed her to sit down even though she told the lady she was waiting on a friend. She asked if we could sit together and she said yes. However, upon my arrival--I was asked to sit behind her. My friend got in trouble multiple times for turning around & talking to me. The lady was just rude. My lady did an okay job--I have a bruised finger so I had to get a design & I'm just not impressed. I expect better quality. See photo attached. I asked for round & she acted like it wasn't what I wanted & when I said yes that's what I want--I'm not sure she knew how to do round. See photo attached. My nails aren't round or even & they're super pointy. Upon finishing, my friend went to wash her hands & the lady started cleaning her area. Spraying spray, wiping, knocking her phone on the floor. She had the next customer come sit in the chair before my friend had even gotten her purse off the chair. My friend had to ask the new customer sitting in chair to excuse her while she grabbed her purse. I was standing waiting while my friend was washing her hands & two of the ladies starting saying y'all go to lunch so you can talk, talk all you want, y'all get out of here & go to lunch. I had a $50 gift card. When I asked how much, she asked me how much my gift card was for. I said $50. She said it's $7 more. So I assumed the service cost $57? I left $20 cash, which I feel is very generous. I won't be returning here, but I hope you get better customer service! Edited to add: my friend did love her nails & neither of us received a massage of any sort on our hands. Actually no lotion at all. I thought this was standard in a manicure. read more

I called Sunday afternoon to get the hours the salon was open because their hours aren't posted online. The woman who answered said "we don't close." I asked, "So you're open 24/7?" and she said "Yes!" So at about 7:30pm after I had dinner nearby, I went to get a pedicure. They were closed! The salon was dark & obviously not open but the bright red neon "OPEN" sign was a lit up. Not very professional and kinda irritating. The hours of operation for Monday thru Sat were on the door, but they had no hours displayed for Sunday even though the woman on the phone said they were open & didn't close. Also, the last time I had a pedicure there, the tech wouldn't stop talking. read more

I went in this morning to get a basic gel pedicure. The lady had me seated. Mind you they just opened at 9:30am. I arrived at approximately 9:36am. When I was seated there was a towel there that appeared dirty. I asked the nail tech if the towel was clean she states yes. Then she goes into the closest across from my view the door is half open. She walks in and grabs the nail tools. The nails tools were already in the container. I asked her if they were sanitized. She said yes. I told her they typically come in a close package when using new nail tools when they are sanitized And she says "no we don't do that". Then she ask if I've been here before I said yes. I've been here a few times but it's been a while since I've came. I told her I normally go to Queen nails. Then she states "why didn't you go there instead? I was like because they don't open till later and I have to be at work. Then she said well you should have gone there because they know who you are and they know what you like. I was ready to walk out of there because she was being rude to me at this point but again I only had about an hour to spare because I needed to be at work so in my mind I'm like I'm gonna be the bigger person and ignore her bad customer service, and roll with the punches. She then ask to pick my color I picked white. Then she says white doesn't last long it chips off fast. I told her I never had a problem with getting a white gel pedicure. It usually lasts me a really long time and she said well I'm just letting you know I did tell her if this happens within a day or two, I will be back for it to be fixed. She charged me $56.00. She didn't put soap in the water or anything to wash my feet. She barely even filed my nails. Then she complained about using her spa lotion on me and how expensive it is to buy. She also complained on how my toe nail is shape and not to cut them the way I do. And at this point I'm like never again will I return here. I wish I know her name but I don't. For me, it's all about customer service and being sanitized with their nail tools. Again I've been here before with no issues but this nail tech gave me a reason not return again. read more

Whenever we visit the area, we make it a point to visit LA Nails. Last time my daughter and I had a mani pedi while my husband and the boys did yucky boy stuff. They are so friendly here. They knew we are not local to the area but they treated us like family and that made all the difference. Make sure you go all out, treat yourself right and get the fancy pedicure (I forget what they put in the water). read more

Not to mention it didn't seem very sanitary as there was an already wet pedicure bowl bag and they didn't change ! (Better than Jade nails) not as expensive or as out of the way as Diva (but owned by the same people I've heard). As with most nail salons, particularly due to Technician turnover, this one is hit or miss, but mostly miss. The problem as I see it, when it comes to today's nail salons, is that customers don't usually get the quality of service they deserve because the focus is on speed and squeezing in as many clients as possible (because time is money). This is unfortunate because paying customers are then left with mediocre nail services and most shops/techs couldn't care less because there will always be new customers to take your place if you decide not to return. Back in the days before there was a nail salon on every corner you usually went to a nail tech who was located in her/his own personal shop or co-located in a hair salon. Often times they were the only tech in the place, or maybe there was a second one. You made an appointment and experienced a great service, that often took at least an hour. But you left with nails that were done with care and pride, and were consistent in appearance, without your tech rushing to herd the next cattle (customer) through. I also don't believe that the average nail tech in today's salons is vested in continuing education which, in my opinion, is vital for anyone who is practicing a craft such as this. And don't get me started on the rampant displays of unprofessionalism (techs hanging on personal phone calls while working on customers, etc.). So, having said all of that, this place is just more of the typical same old same old that, sadly, we've all come to know and expect. read more

I record a pedicure that was "ok". Not even a week later the nail polish on one nail come off completely. Definitely was not worth my money. Besides that, the front and back door stayed open, it was very hot that even the staff complained. When I finally went to pay, my technician was cut off from running my card by another technician who clearly saw me waiting to pay. While waiting another tech had a customer sit to dry her nails and cornered me near the wall. Overall I would rather drive to Miramar beach. read more

They are very friendly and give great service. I have been going here for 10+ years but left a year out due to management change. I been back again and they still know me by name, and remember the service I usually get. The only reason I didn't give a perfect rating because they don't always speak English. Since they got rid of the old (wonderful) staff with some strange hush-hush operation (they will never answer when asked where the entire old staff went), this place has gone WAY down hill. Instead of the friendly, funny, personable, English-speaking staff they once had, LA Nails is now just like every other nail salon. They act like they'd rather be doing something else and they always fib about how long the wait is. Plus half of them speak little to no English...difficult for communicating. They still offer a drink (including wine) while you are there, but this doesn't make us miss the old staff any less. Bring back the old staff!!!!! read more

Do not get any of the deluxe spa pedicures. These are an extra $10-15 than the basic pedicure and not worth it. It's pretty much the same as their basic pedicure but you don't don't get three exfoliating scrubs on your legs. Waist of money. And the lady who did my pedicure was very quick and you could tell that she missed a lot. I won't be back unless it's my only option to get a pedicure. read more

This is the only place in the area I've gotten my nails done and I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else. They're professional, friendly and most importantly- clean! I've had probably four or five pedicures and they've all been great. I'm not into nail designs and other extras so I can't comment on that stuff, but I can tell you that they use good quality products and tools- the chairs are also really nice. After having such a horrible experience at nail salons in Crestview, I decided to venture out a bit and try this place out. I got there right when they opened this morning, and they were able to fit me right in. Amy did my pedicure, with an assist from Danny on my toe design, and Tina did my nails. All of the staff was VERY friendly, an attended to all of my needs, to ensure a good experience! Lots of smiles and conversation. The music was relaxing, and the salon was very clean! I love the gel manicure I get at LA Nails. It lasts over two weeks and the staff does a great job. Prices are very reasonable. I usually go on a walk-in basis and they are very accomodating. Every once in a while I get a pedicure also and I am very happy with their services. read more

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT get your nails done here! I made an appointment for my mom and I to get our nails done together. Not only would they not let us sit together, they sat us on opposite sides of the room, both with empty stations next to us. When I asked if we could sit by each other, they said no and acted as if that was a stupid request. Then, when picking out colors, they did not have the first THREE colors I chose! So I decide to try out a fun chrome color which ended up being $10 more than a regular gel manicure... The lady who was doing my nails clearly had never used the powder polish before and had absolutely no idea what she was doing. When I pointed out how she had missed some spots, she blamed me for messing them up myself. When I got home, the chrome polish started chipping off of the gel she had put underneath, and within a couple days had almost completely chipped off and I was left with pastel purple nails... The young man who did my mom's nails left multiple times to go outside and smoke. He also kept wiping his nose on his hands while doing her nails. It also took over 2 HOURS to do our manicures. I watched an entire movie (by myself might I add since I was sitting alone). I will not be returning to this establishment and I recommend everyone else save their money as well. read more

Their massage chairs feel good but the pedicure and the appearance of the place was not great. The lady who did my pedicure was kind of lazy and did not really trim my nails much. She also didn't bother to try and put my flip flops on before painting my toes and then when she was done painting them she got up and walked away and didn't help me get my shoes at all. So of course I smudged a toe when trying to get into my shoes out of the big chair. I know it sounds petty but most places will help you and then tell you to sit under a nail dryer. Also the paint began to chip the same day! I was super disappointed after paying $35. On top of it all the place is a bit run down and not very pretty to look at inside. One other thing is they say they offer military discount and I am a military spouse of active duty military and they would not give it to me saying I have to be active duty myself. A bit ridiculous I thought considering there are a lot of active duty spouses around here. I probably won't go there again. read more
