If you ask someone for help, they're willing to assist and they don't make that covert annoyed face that retail staff are known to make. The staff I've encountered are very knowledgeable about things that I ask them about and even suggest what is comparable to the items. There have been several times I was aggressively loyal to a product and someone on the team introduced me to something else that has now become my staple. Not certain why this location has such poor ratings. I've tested their consistency in helpfulness on plenty occasions and they're pretty solid. (eg. I've entered wearing being very dressed up and full face of makeup, or wearing a bare face and workout clothes, or business suit, or bare face and bummy clothes, or simply looking haggard... I've since had to spend hours trying to remove the dye from my skin, and ultimately had to rewash and restyle my hair the very same day because there was no way I could comfortably go out in public like that. For the price point, this is simply unacceptable. When you pay for a professional color service, you expect to leave looking polished, not like you have to fix the work yourself at home. I picked the item up via curbside, but realized immediately it wasn't right and returned it to the store within minutes of it being brought to my car. While the necklace refund was processed, the jewelry department supervisor refused to refund the protection plan. She told me I had to call an "800 number" found in my email receipt to get my money back. I checked my email thoroughly; neither a company name nor a phone number was listed anywhere. After I insisted multiple times, she finally made a call and gave me a number for the insurance, but not yhr name of the company. When I called the company (Asurion) the next day, they informed me that they cannot process an immediate refund. Instead, I have to send an email request and wait for them to mail me a physical check. This is absolutely unacceptable. A warranty should be automatically cancelled and refunded the moment the product is returned to the store. Save yourself the headache and do not buy their protection plans online. Once they have your money, they make it as difficult as possible to get it back.

Today, there were only a few department stores left. Today, I went to revisit this so-called department store with a high expectation. One big problem I have with this JC Penney is the signage. I was clueless as where they put men's clothes. Unlike Macy's and other department stores, there are signs at the escalator as which floor sells what. But not this one. I walked all over the women's department and decided to try 2nd level. Bummer. Men's department only filled half of floor space. Not much to shop there, except the clearance aisles. After my initial navigation, I think I remember where is what on the 2nd level. I will return when I need something fancy.

I went around 9am and the place was very organized and the employees were so nice and helpful. Everything was still in stock at this time so going early was good, I made my purchase stood in a short line as the people working the register were fast and smiling. I highly recommend this Bath & Body Works. This place is incredible. Today was the annual body items sale. I look forward to this every year.
