This does tend to be my go-to location simply because it's the closest (along with the one inside Kohl's on highway 6.) I have been going to this location for yearsssss. Like most retail stores, they go through personnel like water, but I have no clue if it is due to management, school, or whatever. I have usually always had pleasant experiences here and the staff is jolly or at the very least helpful. If you ask someone for help, they're willing to assist and they don't make that covert annoyed face that retail staff are known to make. The staff I've encountered are very knowledgeable about things that I ask them about and even suggest what is comparable to the items. There have been several times I was aggressively loyal to a product and someone on the team introduced me to something else that has now become my staple. Not certain why this location has such poor ratings. I've tested their consistency in helpfulness on plenty occasions and they're pretty solid. (eg. I've entered wearing being very dressed up and full face of makeup, or wearing a bare face and workout clothes, or business suit, or bare face and bummy clothes, or simply looking haggard... I had to seek someone out to ask a question and even then she acted as if she was doing me to even answer my question. Which she didn't do, she simply pointed and said "look over there". I come in just wanting to check out the new Nars lipstick, I came in and I walked everywhere. I ended up buying hair, makeup and skin products without anyone asking if I needed help, which I did. I even looked around to see if I could ask for help and they looked at me and walked away to have a casual conversation with their coworkers. I felt so judged in there that I just picked two colors of what I came in for and paid. Went outside to try out the colors for a few minutes where the sitting area was, went back to return and it was 8:02pm. I understand if they close at 8pm but there were a ton of customers inside and as they opened up the door for one customer (out of 15 in there) came out, I just said I had one return which was in my hand with receipt. "Registers are all closed. Sorry" and locked the door. If that was the case, are you still letting those customers continue to walk around with products in their hand that are being guided by employees to try out products, forcibly leave too? This brand is why I shop Ulta. I walked in, and granted it was an hour from closing but your still open and on the clock. There were at least 3-4 women who looked right at me and didn't acknowledge me or offer assistance. After about 10 minutes someone finally asked if I needed anything and SHE was very helpful. Upon leaving, I asked another lady did they have Bobbi Brown face base only to be told "we don't sell that here". Ok thanks for looking up from texting to acknowledge me. First of all no welcome came in with my daughter was testing the perfumes and body mists it was just my daughter and I in that certain area. One Hispanic male associate came and peeked over to see what we were doing once he saw we were just smelling the testers he goes and walks back to a group of other associates huddled in a circle to continue talking didn't offer any assistance or help that left a bad taste. During my 30 minute visit NO associate offered any help or assistance. I will not come back to this location. read more

I wasn't wearing makeup, and was dressed in biker shorts + an oversized tee. Okay first of all, the store setting was amazing, no doubt, as always. Second of all, the staffs are so unhelpful. I walked in, no one greeted me. I thought they were busy, but then I saw them standing around for no reason at all. I looked at one of the girl, and she walked away and helped a lady that came AFTER me. I was so shocked. I asked for one of the girls' help and she asked another girl to do it, but eventually no one came and helped me. Fyi, I didn't wear make up on that day because I was on a rush. I wore my casual clothes, nothing fancy at all. My friends told me that you'd better wear decent make up when you go to Sephora or else the staffs are gonna look down on you. Is that how it is now? A black man with colored contacts was also very nice and gave great suggestions. The cashier, an older middle eastern women greeted me with violence. I considered maybe she had a bad day, but she did not treat the previous customers the way she did me. She was very aggressive and used language indicating that I was the aggressor and trying to deescalate the situation when she was the one with the terrible energy. I would put zero if I could... They applied to their credit card under false pretense by saying this was only a 'discount card'. They did this to my mother, however as she is a non-resident, she couldn't apply... however, they offered to get her the 'discount card' if she could provide my details instead and apply on my behalf. I'm a male, half her age, we don't even share the same last name. I was not present, no ID shown... Borderline illegal... Next day when she realized it was indeed a credit card, after receiving and email for the Credit Card application and went back to the store, the manager, Tommy, said to her: How could you think you could get a 25% discount without applying to the credit card? Implying it was my mother's fault in the first place when they are the ones tricking customers to get a commission on the credit card. This is abuse to a tourist and an older person that does not understand how things work, although she did ask explicitly if this is as a credit card and was reassured it was not. Sephora should be ashamed. They claim to build inclusive environments for employees, consumers, and communities via unscrupulous tactics. read more

To start off let me tell you they always have items out of stock!!!!! It's honestly just a joke now. I went in this store looking for a foundation, and after asking for 4 different foundations and all of them being out of stock I gave up. And this is only one of the problems. My second issue was one that I've previously been told about many times, and it's the fact that if you look "suspicious" ,which just means you aren't dressed up or don't have a full face of makeup on , they follow you around and give you looks through your whole time there. As you could imagine being followed around and having people assume you're going to steal isn't the greatest feeling. If at any time you're unsatisfied with something you bought here, you can bring it back and get store credit. At peak hours it can be hard to find someone to help you or answer your questions, but the salespeople are for the most part quite good. I was not greeted when I walked in the door or asked if I needed help. After walking around in circles a young lady asked if I needed help. She pointed me to the Fenty makeup line and walked away. Another lady walked near me and the original lady asked her if she wanted to help me and she said no because she was leaving. The lady eventually helped me with finding the right color. She made up half of my face. I told her I wanted to purchase the makeup. She said that she could not do the other half of my face because she was asked to do an eyeshadow pallet. She gave me a makeup wedge to do the rest of my makeup and walked away. I will purchase my makeup online from now on. I hate this store, the staff sucks. They're usually not helpful, and I always have to run someone down to get assistance. The really bad part is that the staff (especially in the skincare part of the store) usually isn't busy- they just don't seem to like to help or sell to customers. I've walked out of this store frustrated so many times because I can't find an "unoccupied" (meaning not talking to another sales associate or not pretending to be busy) person to help me find a product. Another bad thing about this store is that their inventory usually also seems out of stock for a lot of products. I love cosmetics and skincare so of course I love Sephora. This location is not such a large store but it does have many top brand and quality cosmetics. I am VERY picky with my cosmetics/skincare so this place suits me well. In here you'll find everything from makeup to skincare cleansers, styling tools for hair, nail care, good perfumes and other accessories. I am not such a fan of the bath and body care or shampoos here since most contain sulfates or paraben.. There are a few brands that are sulfate and paraben free but you have to check the labels carefully. This store is a good one with the only downside being the parking which can be non-existent on weekends or holiday seasons due to the lot it shares with the mall and the VERY limited amount of spaces within the complex it is located in. read more

I was so happy to come to this Sephora because I was going to buy Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel. I go up to the register and check out when I notice the cashier put a promo package in my bag. I get to the car and eagerly open up the package only to have it say that if I would've waited a week to make my fragrance purchase, I would've relieved 3X's the Beauty Insider points. Now, I have to return my perfume and re-purchase it making it really inconvenient for me. One-stop shop for all your beauty needs- makeup, skin care, hair care, nail care, fragrances, etc... All available in a wide variety of brands. If you aren't too familiar with a certain product, be sure to request them to pack you up a sample size; however, their return policy is quite fair as well, in case a certain product doesn't work for you. Be sure to keep track of their reward points as well, which you can (sometimes) redeem for some pretty cool items. The lines usually aren't too long, but for the rare occasion in which you do have to wait, there's a large selection of trial sizes of just about everything for your viewing or purchasing (sales technique!) pleasure. Downside would have to be the lack of parking, since they share their lot with the mall, Barnes and Noble, and several restaurants. The knowledge of the employees is kinda half and half. The people working in the makeup section in the back are great, but the skin care/hair care people don't have a clue. Honestly super disappointing experience at the Sugarland location. After reading other reviews they are quite frankly spot on to my experience every time I go there.They're are definitely employees that are helpful but others are very dismissive and could care less about their only job..customer service. Every single time I've gone in to pick up an online order I am never greeted by somebody at the pick up area-I have to track someone down usually to find a group of employees chatting with each other at the back of building and not actually working or helping anyone. But if I come in early to pick up an order I'm told it's still processing and there's nothing they can do. Even though they are standing around talking to each other. Oh and this order happened right after I picked up an online order with another employee after ordering 13 minutes prior.. hmm the pick up request should have been fulfilled regardless...It's lacking in basic customer service. Or someone that doesn't want to do their job. Either way if a customer asks to get the order earlier than the pickup availability-they should be accountable for accommodating anyone and everyone. Went back in, feeling stupid and worried that I wasn't going to be able to exchange for the right thing. The staff member and the manager working at the time worked out a solution to get me the correct foundation and took care of me. I came in feeling stressed and left feeling relieved and grateful. The customer service here has improved A LOT since my last review. I'm always greeted by more than one person when I walk in and the employees are always willing to help. I feel like they either got re-trained in that area or there is a new batch of more enthusiastic employees. I like that they have samples of EVERYTHING and are really nice about letting you have a sample of something (i.e. a cleanser or a mask) before you buy it. The products are extremely expensive (no drug store products here ) so it would be wise to sample something out before purchasing. If you do purchase and are not satisfied, they are great about letting you return it as long as you have the receipt. I do enjoy coming here from time to time. I'd come more frequently if they started to carry more affordable products. That being said, I do enjoy the section by the cash registers with deluxe size products at a more affordable price. read more
