Chin lee was not very caring.... did have a problem with color stain... under my eye brow.... Did not correct well.... hoping for more hair stroke look....Because I was older I felt less. Also I had a touch up. read more

Chin Lee is top notch aesthetician. She's been giving me facials routinely for 10 years and I started with her 20 years ago for my permanent makeup. She has excellent skill in color and age diminishing shaping with the makeup. I trust her 100%. Highly recommend. read more

Chin Lee is an artist and a perfectionist. My step daughter told me I had to see her! She gave me perfect eyebrows and I am constantly being asked about my lipstick, and I say, that's not lipstick, that's a tattoo. She not only restored my "bent lip" and scar from cancer surgery, she made my lips look fabulous. Today she did the first appointment for eyeliner tattooing. Can hardly wait to see them in final form. The office is exceptionally clean and pleasant and relaxing. Chin has the best personality and her prices are very fair. Give her a try, you won't regret it! You will feel like a million bucks! Thank you, Chin Lee! read more

Chin Lee is the BEST in the business of permanent makeup. I have been going to her for years for my lips, eyebrows and eyeliner. Her work is spectacular. She explains things clearly and will make you feel very comfortable during the process. And her prices are very reasonable. I love waking up in the morning with color on my lips read more

I came in to Designer Beauty for a facial but after finding out more about microblading for my eyebrows and eyelids, I decided to give it a try. Chin Lee explained everything very clearly so I felt assured. The office / clinic is really clean and I like the music they play - instrumental versions of Disney songs which is relaxing. I came back shortly after and despite being really nervous, everything went smoothly. Both Chin Lee and Christine are super nice and I felt like I was in good hands. My face was swollen for a few days but now that it's subsided and my skin is 90% healed, I love the way my eyebrows look. I'm not going to lie - microblading on your eyelids is pretty scary but it's worth it! I've been going to work with barely any make up now and I don't look tired. I can't wait to see the final product of my eyelids and eyebrows after the touch up session in about 2 months. read more

This review is long overdue!! I have been a client of Chin Lee for approximately 10 years. I first came to her to consult regarding permanent makeup for my eyebrows. I had wanted to have them done for quite a while but never found anyone whose work I thought looked natural. I then saw an old friend who I had not seen in a while and she looked great, and when she told me she had her eyebrows done, I knew I had found the right person. I immediately made an appointment with Chin Lee and had my eyebrows done. It was the best beauty decision I ever made! The shape and the color are perfect, but most important, they look natural. I have continued to see Chin Lee for my yearly eyebrow touch ups and also began receiving facials and skin care. On Chin's recommendation I switched my skin care products to products that really helped my fair, blotchy skin look and feel much better. I would highly recommend Chin Lee for any and all skin care needs you may have and especially for any permanent makeup you may be considering. read more

I've gone here for facials and waxes, and since then I don't have much of a reason to go anywhere else for these services. The facials are amazing--I leave with my face feeling refreshed and cleared up. I've been to several other places for waxes, but even if other estheticians do a decent job, they make my experience painful. The wax that Chin Lee uses is of the highest quality--I never feel like my skin is about to get ripped off. Her place is also very clean and organized--a must for these types of services. This is the best place to go to for anything related to skincare. Chin Lee is not only very knowledgeable about skincare, but she provides the best services with the best products. read more

I have been going to Chin Lee for more years than I would like to admit to... 40+ years and I now see her daughter Christine. I love and adore both these women... obviously since I continue going beck every month! They are extremely professional and knowledgeable and continue to up their game going to seminars to learn more and up their skills. You cannot do better than Designer Beauty. I was appalled when reading a negative review and quite frankly I do not believe that either of these ladies ever said a rude or unkind remark to anyone! It's just not in their DNA! I would imagine that the unhappy client probably didn't follow instructions. And as for the so called conversation... doesn't sound anything like what Chin Lee would say. Bottom line is wonderful knowledgeable ladies, fabulous service, great products and a place I look forward to going every month! I could not be happier! read more

It's a very clean and relaxing atmosphere. Chin Lee and Christine are extremely professional and knowledgeable.

I have been wanting to have permanent eyeliner for a very longer no time but do not like the thin harsh lines I have seen. A neighbor was at our house and we complimented her on the color of her lip stick. She told us her lips and eye liner were permanent. Shock, inspection, give us her name! I drove 2.5 hours to Northridge to have Chin Lee do my eyeliner. She is a very patient, and knowledge person. I totally trust her. She is very sterile and her offices very clean but warm and comforting. I can tell you it was not a walk in the park. But Chin is fast and accurate. The procedure hurt but I would do it again her way. My touch up (included in charge) is 6 weeks. Will follow up afterwards but everyone that sees me notices I "have been putting makeup on lately". I love it! Go with an expert! read more

Highly recommend Chin and Christine whether you want the best facial of your life or a fabulous permanent make up treatment. Their facials are the best I've ever had. As for permanent make up, I trust Chin 100%. She's a true expert that knows how to make you look fabulous. I've had my eyebrows and my lips tattooed by Chin. She is professional and a true artist. read more

As a man, it takes a lot for me to write a review for this professional establishment, because I find myself questioning my masculinity. (Just kidding.) I came here to get my face cleared of blackheads and whiteheads and all sorts of junks that set foot on my face. Chin Lee indeed does a very thorough job and makes sure her objectives are accomplished. When you first enter, you will be greeted by Chin Lee's receptionist, who is not only professional but as beautiful. After the facial treatment, I was to wait about a week for my face to completely clear up from the treatment. After my face had recuperated from the treatment, it felt smoother, and free of whiteheads and blackheads! Chin Lee also recommended me to control my diet (less meat!) and recommendations for various facial-cleansing products that will help me to maintain my cleared skin. The parking lot is spacious. Chin Lee's office is located on Reseda, right next to the IHOP diner. read more

Went in for my first facial in a really long time and it was magical. Christine is incredibly talented plus she's super friendly. She made me feel welcome, didn't give me the whole disapproving-face thing some estheticians seem to have perfected when they look at someone who hasn't had a treatment in a while. Instead, she made me feel welcome and made the whole process enjoyable. Which is a real feat since I had to have some waxing too. I walked out feeling so blissed out it was like I'd had a really amazing massage. I have NEVER left a facial feeling like that. Of course I'll be back, I'm a convert and really looking forward to my next session. The salon is clean and well laid out. It reminded me of a European health resort. Well worth the money, I highly recommend them. read more

I have been going to Chin Lee for the past 11 years for facials and permanent makeup on my brows and eyelids. Chin Lee and her daughter Christine are the best!!! The office is always immaculate and all the instruments that Chin and Christine use are always sterile and hygienically clean. Designer Beauty's customer service is always beyond reproach!! They are kind, knowledgeable, and caring and the prices are very reasonable!! I highly recommend Designer Beauty to anyone in search of quality facials and more! read more

I first met Chin Lee over 5 years ago when I developed a horrible staff infection from getting threaded and waxed in the Northridge mall. With a thorough facial, skin care guidance for my skin type and Chin Lee's touch it was all cleared up in a matter of days! Over the years I have had my share of adult acne and hormonal acne but nothing beats my horrendous breakout I recently experienced. Let me give you a little background... I have been in cosmetic/skincare retail for the last 18 years and have heard, seen, learned and trained on every high end skincare regimen there is but none of that could have helped the disaster that was sitting on my face. So of course who else would I call but CHIN LEE my SKINCARE GURU and Secret skin weapon who has fought and won the battles that have taken place on my face! With this past breakout I truly did not even recognize myself in the mirror, I felt my ugliest, dodged seeing my boyfriend and literally stayed inside hidden as much as possible thinking I could clear it up till appointment day w Chin Lee but that wasn't the case. On appointment day I was even embarrassed to go see her but knowing I'm in good hands and that she has over 30 years plus experience and extensive knowledge it wouldn't be long till I felt Beautiful again! CHIN LEE has always came to my skins rescue, she is my friend, she gives Great skin health advice and is TRUSTWORTHY!!!! I am giving this review so others know how AMAZING she is! Her love for skin needs to be experienced by Everyone!!!!! I RECOMMEND HER PS- I LOVE VIVANT SKINCARE Which she does sell their along with other products she believes in. read more

I was recommended to Chin Lee and am so thankful I went to see her! From the initial contact making an appointment over the phone, through the application of permanent makeup to my eyes and lips, eyebrow microblading, and then follow up appointments, I have experienced top-notch treatment! Chin Lee is not only professional, but also welcoming, friendly, reliable and a gifted artist! Her consideration for cleanliness and her clients' well being is commendable! Too, she offers plenty of free parking! :) I am confident that anyone seeking out Chin Lee, will find themselves as highly satisfied as I am! read more

If I could do more the 5 stars, I would! I have known CHIN LEE for more than 20 years and absolutely the only person I would ever TRUST to do my permanent makeup. I had the 'works' done in 1997-lips, eyebrows and eyeliner and touch ups most recently in 2016, 2017, and eyeliner just done beautifully on May 18, 2018. Chin is an artist and a perfectionist, and when it comes to somebody being so close to your face and eyes, she is the ONLY person I would ever go to; she gets it and nobody compares. She is so precise, and only wants you to look 'more beautiful' than before. To this day, my dentist still asks me to remove my lipstick-LOL :). My Mom had chemo and radiation many years ago and her eyebrows never grew back and always 'painted' them on at 87! Chin did her eyebrows, starting from scratch in April 2018, and they look AMAZZZING, and my Mom no longer has to pencil them in! Highly, Highly recommend!!! XO read more

I find it very unfortunate that a person can run a business like this and be so rude and inconsiderate to her customers. When Chin did permanent eyebrows on me last year and charged me $450 and told me every year I needed a touch-up which was $100. Which I agreed was fine I went and had my touch up this year unfortunately she did not complete the job and there were quite a few holes open which I called her immediately when I got home and told her her reply was you have to wait 3 weeks because I can't do anything right now on your eyebrows they are very sensitive which I agreed. I had the appointment yesterday and as I went in she was on a personal phone call while I am waiting and I was there on time but the part that bothered me the most was she agreed that there were a lot of holes to be filled and that I needed to come back and have it finished and told me I would be charged again. I asked her why am I being charged again you didn't finish the job the first time now I'm going to pay again? She said I have to pay rent here I said I agree but if you had done it right the first time I wouldn't have had to come back the second time and pay again I thought it was very wrong and she kept telling me don't argue with me I have a new client here which I hope the new client heard how deceiving this lady is and how she runs this business. I told her I am so sorry you feel this way but you should have done it right the first time and I wouldn't be coming back again if you don't do it right the second time do I have to come back to third time again and pay once more? I really feel that this lady does not care about her patients or her clients she only cares about the money cuz obviously she could have done it right the second time and I would have never had to make another appointment but instead of making it right she continued just to say that it was my fault when in reality she should have done it right if she is a professional. I will never recommend this lady to anyone and if anybody ever tells me they like her I will tell them this story I guarantee it. Shame on you chin read more

Chin Lee is a true artist and does exceptional work! She has a thriving business, yet is so accommodating to find an appointment time that works with my tight schedule. Her office environment has all the comforts of home among her top of the line tools of the trade. I've received numerous compliments on my makeup since I've been using Chin Lee & none of those people were aware I had permanent makeup. Mission accomplished! I referred my Mom and Sister to Chin Lee and they have had the same wonderful outcome as me. Everything about my experience with Designer Beauty & owner, Chin Lee, has been outstanding. She is sweet & very knowledgeable in her field. Her prices are fair & there's plenty of free parking. There's also a dentist that has an office next door who charges a reasonable fee to numb my lips before Chin Lee works on them. What a lifesaver. No pain. I am so happy I found her after years of receiving unsatisfactory work from other salons. read more

This is the ultimate in permanent make up design. Chin Less is an artist and professional in every sense of the word! She is also living proof of how permanent make up can enhance ones features. I had permanent eye liner applied about 10 years ago and needed retouching. Chin not only retouched but enhanced and updated my eye line. Totally gave me a refreshed look....both upper and lower lids. I had my eyebrows refreshed by someone who did a terrible job. Chin took multi application to remove color and reapply my brows. Hugh improvement! Chin also did permanent color for my lips. She works w dentist to ensure totally painless application. I am prone to cold sores so I also got meds from my doctor to prevent problems. I am a new women. I always have color that enhanced my features no matter what! First thing in the AM, swimming or gym and after a long day. Chin is artistic, competent, caring and realistic. Her prices are reasonable and her work is the best. read more

My family and I have been going here since I was in middle school (I'm now in my 20s), and Chin Lee does a thorough and careful job with all kinds of skin care, including the more common facials and hair removal. She also really cares and will provide advice on skin care and diet to help with more chronic problems. I've heard that she occasionally provides the finishing touches to work done by reconstructive plastic surgeons, so that's saying quite a bit. I like the new office and ambiance. It's located in an office building with a back parking lot, which allows a lot of privacy if you're having permanent make up done and don't want people to see you just yet. I highly recommend coming here--it's my go-to place whenever I'm back in the valley! read more

I was referred to Chin Lee by a friend. I have had permanent makeup about 4 times prior. Chin Lee has an immaculate inside office, clean, newly decorated and, well maintained. She and her daughter have very good interpersonal skills. She is very clean and changes gloves frequently (I pay a lot of attention to clean gloves and clean equipment). She spent time to explain her plan and spent as much time as necessary to do a good job. She is trying to fix some permanent eyeliner that migrated (from prior treatment). She did mostly my upper lid today, it is straight and looks very good. She wants to wait to do my lower lid in about 8 weeks. She is accustomed to manipulating the face/eyes, and has confidence in her work. She also irrigated my eyes at least 10 times which is a great idea and takes more of her time. I swore I would never do tattoo again after a prior bad experience. I just can't help myself. I love eyeliner tattoo. So far so good. I'm going in for at least one more treatment for the lower liner. I like that her treatment plan will take more of her time to ensure a great result. Some providers just want patients in and out quickly and do an ok job. Chin Lee is concerned with the best possible results. I'll check back on Yelp a few months after I complete my treatments and that healing occurs. So far so good. I do have a fair amount of swelling that is typical for this procedure, so I'm staying home today. This is an expected side effect. read more

My dermatologist referred me to Chin Lee over 20 years ago when I asked who he recommended to do permanent makeup for my eyebrows. He referred patients that needed to have their scars lightened, and he was very impressed with the work that Chin Lee did for his clients. Fast forward to today, I've been continuing to have my eyebrows touched up ever since and today I saw Chin for a touch up on the new technique she used on me -- microblading. I'm thrilled with the way my eyebrows look, and Chin is a perfectionist. Chin has consistently been professional, an expert in her field, and truly cares about her clients. Her office is beautiful and inviting. Just like Chin herself! read more

Chin Lee is amazing!!!! She is so intuitive, knowledgable and caring that I let her make all the decisions about the colors & shaping for my lips, eyebrows & eyeliner tattoos. And I couldn't be happier with her artistry! She took such great care of me from the initial consultation to the home care instructions. Now I wake up looking younger (I'm 54) & BEAUTIFUL!! This is something every woman should do for themselves. I can't wait to go back for my 2 month touch up...and to have additional skin care procedures done!! Chin has a beautiful aura that has a calming & reassuring effect. The atmosphere at her salon is very professional while also being relaxing and every inch is sparkling clean. She is awesome! i was having a lot of skin issues, but her treatment completely cleared up my face. Its been over a month that i had the facial done and my skin still looks amazing. She explains everything, and offers alternatives to products that she thinks willbest suit your skin. I was a little worried, bc the acid peel she performed burned a lot. And my skin was very rough and sensitive for a few days, but after that healed, my skin was so amazing! I would for sure do it again. read more

I first consulted with Chin Lee several years ago for a correction on permanent makeup I had done at another salon on my eyebrows. Chin is so skilled and experienced and has kept up with new techniques. She not only corrected the shape and color of my eyebrows, but over the years has also removed the multitude of skin tags from my neck and done permanent makeup on my top and bottom eyelines. We're currently working on microblading. And have I mentioned, she also does my facials and advises on the best products for my skin type. I've been with her so long that we have established a wonderful relationship. Her daughter Christine is wonderful too - they are quite a mother-daughter dynamic duo! A couple of my friends are now loyal clients as well, and I recommend them without hesitation. :) read more
