I had this Limo reserved for over a month for a huge surprise for my daughter's 10th Birthday this weekend. She is obsessed with Limos and so wanted to ride in one so I had it planned for the limo to pick up my girls and then go around and pick up her little friends and bring them back to our house for the dance party. The owner just called me today 4 days before the event and told me they messed up and it was double booked and he cannot provide service ! I am beyond pissed ! Environmentally irresponsible While having a beer on the patio of Amendment XXI across the street from Desert Wave we watched someone (either driver or employee) empty all of the antifreeze out of the bus onto the parking lot. They then took a hose and sprayed the antifreeze into the grass area. There are plenty of environmentally safe ways to dispose of antifreeze and this isn't one of them. It was 2PM on a Friday and they obviously didn't care who saw. It's lazy maintenance of your vehicles and not a responsible way to run your business. DO NOT use desert way limousine. Today at camp trios (Trios Health) desert wave limousine took the kids from camp to the court club to do the waterpark. At the waterpark My sons transmitter for his insulin pump came off. His team leader put it in his hand and they got in the limo. My son set the transmitter on the seat and forgot it there. The camp started calling the limousine company and I was told to meet them there. When I got there the guy was very frantic and being very rude. He, in a very nasty manner, was asking My son which bus he was on and when He was showing him whereabouts he said that's not the one he's on and was telling My son there's no way you left it on the limo because they checked thoroughly. (Mind you all of this was in a frantic nasty manner) He told us to get out of the way so he can move the bus so we could get on and check. We moved over in the parking lot. There was a small circle of oil on the ground, he came around the corner and frantically told us don't step in that oil 3 to 4 different times. None of us were standing in the oil. Then he said to My son if you get oil on your shoe I'm not letting you on this limo. At that point I knew there was going to be an issue. I told him this is a medical piece of equipment that's over $2000 and we just need to take a look and make sure it's not there. Both of my sons (my two oldest where at the camp) started to get In the limo. He told My other son not to get in the limo and do not touch anything. My son that left the transmitter got out quickly and I decided to go into take a look. I had My 4 year old son with me. So I set Him in the limo on the chair and the guy flipped out. He said no he doesn't need to be in there don't let him touch anything. I turned around and told him he needed to stop being so rude and not talk to my children. At that point the man started calling me a psychopath and telling My 4 year old that he was going to call the cops on his psycho path mother, Which obviously made him immediately upset. My 4 year old threw his arms up saying no no no don't call the police. I told the guy several times to stop talking to my children. The guy was behaving like he was on drugs or some kind of medication. This was not an employee but the owner of the company. It was clear he didn't want us looking around in the limo, but why not? Not one of the 14 individuals in our group would recommend this company. I really wish I would have seen the bad reviews before I booked our wine tour with this guy. We had such unprofessional service it's embarrassing. The owner Kim charged us 1100.00 for 6 hours in the hummer limo. It was so hot in there we were all sweating and very very uncomfortable. The air vents were barely blowing and it was not very cold air not was it enough to sufficiently cool the limo. When he was approached by two individuals at different times (who were not at all intoxicated) about the heat issue he very rudely told them he won't talk to drunk people. Our family is loud and lively, but we weren't drunk. When I brought this up to him on our phone conversation he said we all looked like we had a great time and he even recorded us on the way back to prove it. This guy recorded us without our permission! And I said we had a good time because our family is great. But our experience was awful. It was so hot we would have rather paid for individual Ubers than ride together in this limo. He then began to tell me we could have cancelled at any time during our reservation but we didn't. Cancel after we paid in full and planned our whole day around this? At no time did he ever tell me I could cancel and get a refund. After being so rude and unprofessional on the phone he offered a 200.00 refund and that I could sue him because that's all he's giving me. I asked for half back and he refused. By far the worst experience with a limo service ever! I will make this short and to the point. Who: Kim Jones (owner) completely unprofessional, rude and def. On some "good stuff." What: "party bus" (remodeled motor home) Shows up late. Won't let us bring a cooler with snacks and drinks, said "this is a wine tour not a drunk fest" (ends up letting us after negotiating.) A/c breaks down (twice!) making us late to our first stop Overbooked himself. Wouldn't let us touch the a/c to adjust. Yelled when we did. Called us "bitches" for dancing on the bus. Comes stomping into our tasting to yell " I said quarter to 2pm I'm leaving you guys." Complete nightmare! Kim Jones do yourself a favor and hire more drivers. Our first encounter with Dessert Wave Limo was for a commercial shoot the company I work for did with the City of Richland. The City of Richland coordinated this shoot, and used Dessert Wave, we had no say in who was there. The guy who came from Dessert Wave was extremely rude. He was short, and actually yelled at our employees and kids in the shoot for rolling a window down so we could hear the directions for the shoot. Honestly, I would not give them any of your business after this one encounter. First off my brother-in-law payed for a hummer limo, he was notified on his wedding day that it was broken down so they sent a bus and the groom was not very happy with it because it was not what they payed for he expressed this to Kim(owner) and the dude just left us on Rd 100 on my sisters wedding day. I had posted this review on Kidz Biz because I was confused on who the business really was. I went into Kidz Biz to rent the limo, I dealt with Kidz Biz owner Jennifer G. and was treated rudely by her two times. After receiving threats from her that she would take me to court if I didn't remove the review from the Kidz Biz page I have now moved the review to Desert Wave Limo. I honestly don't know where to start here....I am kind of afraid to even write a review because Kim Jones and his girlfriend Jennifer Gessener have been posting bad reviews about me on my employers website and they've never been there. Kim has also posted a bad review on Yelp about me under my Employers business name. They both have never been a patient at my work or a client of mine. They are both angry because Kim tried to sue me for an outrageous amount of money and they lost. I refuse to let these bullies scare me. I will make this as short as I can. Back in January I purchased a 1 hour limo ride from Desert Wave Limo for my friends birthday and my friend ended up getting sick and throwing up in the limo. Kim immediately started yelling and cussing and doing what he has done to numerous other people on these other Yelp reviews. He was telling me I would have to pay for a full detail of the vehicle and that it would be $500. I told him I would pay for the clean up of the vomit but that I thought $500 was a bit much. I offered to pay for a spot cleaning and asked him to send me a bill but he never did. So on May 14th (almost 4 months after the whole ordeal) a cop came to my work and served me papers for court- Kim never billed me and he was now suing me for almost $500 plus court costs!!!! I was so embarrassed that I had to be walked through the waiting area with a cop with all our patients looking at me. While at court he showed the judge pictures he had taken of his limo in disarray, the floor mats all thrown up on the seats, one broken wine glass and "spit" on a window. He framed me as an alcoholic, violent, screaming, cussing, crazy woman. He told the judge that the plan for the night was for the group to "pre-funk" at Tony Roma's, drink more in the limo and then drink more at The Grizzly Bar. He said when he came to get us from the restaurant we were stumbling out of the restaurant and then went to our cars to grab "cases of liquor" and "straight shots". He said he had the divider up the whole time and had no clue what had happened. He claimed we just trashed the limo (hence the staged pictures) It was horrible. When it was my turn to talk I ended up crying because I was so upset by the injustice of this whole situation. The group consisted of a bunch of married couples ranging in ages from 25 up to 40. We went to Tony Roma's to have dinner and rented a limo to make the night special and yes to drink in as well, just like many people do when they rent a limo but there were no cases of liquor or "straight shots" and the limo was not trashed. Yes, the birthday girl threw up, and I was sorry for that and offered to help but I had no clue who I was dealing with. Anyways, I went to court and I got what I wanted- to only pay him for the actual clean up. Ever since then Kim has written to me personally on FB, bashed me on my employers FB page (his girlfriend also wrote one but erased it), and now he has written another one on Yelp. Before court I had contacted a couple other limo services in town to see how they charge for throw up and they all agreed that $500 was ridiculous. Some limo companies don't charge anything, some take a deposit and some charge $100 and state it specifically in the contract. This place has a very short contract and says nothing about clean up costs. I could have fought him more and probably got away with not paying but I was trying to be fair and get this guy to leave me alone. I asked 3 limo companies to write up a quote for me but only one would help me. They all told me they didn't want to get involved because Kim is 'very vindictive and will seek revenge" as one person worded it. It just floors me that this business is still around. If you read the other reviews on Yelp they have made children cry, mothers cry, ruined birthday parties and other special days for people. Now I am dealing with them taking me to court, slandering me and harassing me all because my friend threw up on a floor mat and I wouldn't back down to him and pay him the $500 he demanded. This community shouldn't put up with businesses like this. I am honestly worried about what else they will try to do to me once I post this. They have my address from the contract and I am honestly worried so I am putting that out there just in case. This is just terrible and I shouldn't have to be afraid to let the community know what happened to me. These people are just terrible and shouldn't be around children and shouldn't be able to ruin more special moments for people. read more

We went wine tasting over the weekend and the driver was AWFUL. He threw a huge fit about us wanting to bring a cooler on the "party bus" with water and snacks. This "party bus" had the AC go out twice on the way to Walla Walla, which he had to stop and fix, taking time out of our scheduled tour. When we were at the second winery, he came in screaming in front of the whole busy winery, saying we had two minutes to get on the bus or he was leaving us. Then proceeded to call the cops on us because we weren't out there fast enough. He treated us like sh*t because he poorly planned another party 30 minutes after us. And he acted like he was high on coke the whole time, I was honestly scared to get back on the bus with him, I almost had someone drive to Walla Walla to pick my husband and I back up. The driver's name was Kim Jones, I believe. AWFUL and we'll never use this service again. read more

Yelling at 7 kids on homecoming night for not getting in the Limo "on time" is unacceptable. He was paid whether he was driving or waiting. Their food had been served late however they still made it to the limo within the service time allowed. I was the one who tried to push the schedule tighter but his original service for the homecoming package included an hour and a half for dinner. To start the evening, pick up was at 5:30. The kids were having pictures taken and didn't get into the limo until 5:45. Again he was paid whether he was driving or waiting. The whole evening was about the kids enjoying themselves not this guy. The kids still made it to dinner on time. My Granddaughters both had their hair and make-up done here for their Prom. One word...HORRIBLE! They "painted" them to look like circus clowns, and the hair styles were atrocious! Bobby pins were visible hair was plastered down FLAT! They went home and showered it all away and did their hair and make-up themselves. We were very uncomfortably hot and sweaty back there with no air flow, and it took a while before it even started to cool off...even after this it seemed to have trouble cooling in our area. This was one of a few issues we encountered. The driver we had was sweet, however the person we spoke with on the phone about the issues was extremely unprofessional to say the least. Absolutely horrible! If I could give 0 stars, I would. We rented a limo to drive us from Pasco to Pendleton for Pendleton whiskey Music fest. Our driver was amazing and showed up on time. However, when he arrived he informed us that there was no A/C in the limo! It was 98 degrees outside and there were 16 adults in our group! While heading down to Pendleton, we contacted the owner to inform him that there no A/C in the limo and we were very disappointed. The limo had a roof made of particle board in the back half and one of the back rests was falling off. The owner made the lady who did business with him cry because he was screaming at her and telling her that he would contact the driver to turn us around and take us back home. He refused to discount any money or at least listen to our concerns. He is an asshole who I refuse to do business with ever again. Meanwhile, the owner used his other bus that had A/C to take him down the music festival. We paid a lot of money to use his limo and never once got an apology or refund! I had purchased a coupon book to support a kid with cancer. It was not cheap and included a coupon for Kidz Biz Salon, which is also Desert Wave Limo. I have a friend who is getting married and I wanted to surprise her and the groom with a limousine ride from the ceremony to their hotel after the wedding. The coupon reads: "Complimentary Limousine Service (value up to $250) This merchant discount entitles bearer to a limousine service to and from the party with the parachutes Big Band Birthday Bash!! (Valid only under 15 mile radius)" I though this meant that I could get a free limo ride to and from whatever party I was going to and that the parachutes for a birthday party were optional. When I called to ask if I could use the coupon for a service for my friend's wedding, I was shocked at the rudeness and lack of customer service. The man on the other end of the phone told me that he is the owner and would never have a coupon like that out in the world, he runs a business and can't give away free service! He accused me of manufacturing fake coupons and threatened to call the police and send me to jail. He angrily rambled on and on for a few minutes before I could get a word in. I told him that I had purchased the coupon book and I read the coupon to him. He laughed and told me that the coupons says I have to rent a party at their business and the limo service is to and from the party that I rent with them. I said it says nothing about renting a party on the coupon. He tells me to read it to him again and interrupts to say "There! It says 'The Party' the one you have to rent here". He has me read the rest and says "Big Band Birthday Bash is the name of the party you have to rent here". I point out that it says "The Party" and "with parachutes Big Band Birthday Bash". It doesn't say anything about renting a party and many people who have this coupon are going to assume what I did. He told me that he's sorry that I don't have the capacity to read and comprehend what the coupon says even though its right there in front of my face. There is no way he is giving free services to anyone, it just isn't going to happen. The way I twisted the meaning of the coupon around is ridiculous and he is not going to let me get away with trying to con free services out of his business. He kept talking and insulting me. The entire phone call, he spoke very quickly and angrily. He made me think of an auctioneer on drugs, or more likely, a very angry and unhappy person who has had WAY too much coffee. Even if I couldn't have used the coupon, I would have gotten a quote to find out how much the limo service would have been at normal price. After the way the OWNER treated me, there is no way I am EVER going to use their services. I told the angry man on the phone just this and hung up. I am now getting quotes from all the other limousine services in the area and will be renting from one of them. read more

HORRIBLE COMPANY. DO NOT USE. The owner,Kim Jones, and his girlfriend manager,Jennifer Gessner, were both belligerent and rude. I called on a Tuesday to get a limo for Saturday.45 min after my initial call, I had to cancel because of an increase in people and places.Kim flipped out. Screaming at me about how he had a no cancellation policy, how I should have known that, and it was too bad for me - that he was getting my money one way or another. If I reversed the charges he would take me to small claims court and win, he stated that he always wins. I said, hold up, you never explained any policy to me. He became so loud and rude it was unnerving. He threatened me, saying he would sit outside my house, or I had to pay him more for a bigger vehicle. Like I wanted him driving my children around at this point. He put his girlfriend on the phone who did nothing but scream about my ignorance and unprofessional behavior (because Kim had said that during the time I initially called and when I cancelled, someone else had called to rent the limo and because of me he lost that opportunity...my suggestion was to call those people back and say he had a cancellation).This according to Kim was unprofessional and "stupid" behavior, that he does not call people back.She then passed the phone back to Kim. He never explained any type of cancellation policy, I did not sign anything, initial anything, and nothing is posted on his website. He never sent me his policies or even a receipt. His only concern during the initial conversation was to make a sale. He didnt explain any policies, I was never given a contract, I never signed a contract, I told him not to charge my card and he still charged me $525 a week after my initial call. I have now filed complaints with the B.B.B., the WA state attorney generals office, my bank, and the WA state department of licensing.I will never NOR would I ever recommend this limo service. We booked our daughter's birthday party with another business in town, and part of the package was a limo ride. Unfortunately, it was with these bozos. We had a bad experience with them previously, and if I had known that was who it was I would have said no. My wife called the day before to confirm the package, and had the misfortune of speaking with Kim, the owner. His biggest concern when talking to my wife was apparently the tip the driver would receive, since that was not included in the price of the package. My wife was not aware of this, and told him so, which he apparently took to mean that we were not going to pay it. After some discussion, my wife was under the impression that it was worked out, and we would pay the tip. The next day, none other than Kim himself showed up at my door. Unwisely, I loaded my daughter, her six friends, my wife, and her two friends into the limo, and then came along separately to the party, which was a HUGE mistake. When I arrived, my wife was almost in tears because of how Kim treated her. His story was that none of his drivers were willing to take the job, because he told them they might not get tipped. My wife offered him the tip when they arrived at the party location, but he continued to berate and belittle her. Kim is apparently the owner of the building the other business is in, and so tried to get my daughter's birthday party CANCELLED AFTER THEY ARRIVED at the party location, in front of my daughter and her friends. He also spoke to several of the 7-9 year olds AT THE PARTY about my wife, saying things like "tell mommy to stop being mean to me" and "looks like mommy had some pills before she came to the party." After the party was over, the gang loaded up for the ride back home. They all unloaded back at our house, and the coward took off quickly without so much as a word to me. When I called him later on to express my displeasure with his poor service, he hung up on me! When he finally did stay on the phone, he had the audacity to accuse my wife of using drugs or being drunk, and that she was rude to him! I then asked him why he didn't say anything to me about what he thought he saw, and he replied that he "didn't know who I was." Gee, the guy that is waiting in front of the house with the kids then shows up later to take pictures, and hugs and hangs around with the birthday girl's mom, then is back at the house afterward; I wonder who that could be? When I asked him why he felt it was appropriate to talk to my daughter about my wife, he told me my daughter was lying! Unbelievable. When I told him I would never use his business again, he replied "Fine, I don't want your business!" From reading the other reviews on this site, he apparently doesn't want anyone's business. Do yourself a favor: spend a little extra to get Racing limos or someone else in the Tricities that actually cares about their customers. Kim and Desert Wave certainly don't. This guy is quite a piece of work, and deserves to go out of business. Don't use them, no matter how much of a good deal it sounds like! You will regret it! read more

The star is only because it will not let me post without it. I attended a wedding in which I was a bridesmaid. The groom was let known the same day of his wedding that the hummer he reserved was broken down. They offered a party bus to pick us up instead. An RV showed up to pick us up at the church. We were all pretty excited thinking the RV would've been a bit more fun. Our driver was a joke! Very rude to the photographer and groom. He argued with the groom in front of his wedding party about the location the photographer chose for the pictures. To make matters worse, we left our three month old baby in the RV to get some things out and before we knew it the driver takes off with our baby in the back of the RV. Of course we were upset that he would just leave and not let us know he was leaving and on top of that we got hung up on when we called the dispatcher after telling them the situation. The cherry on top of the ice cream was being kicked off the bus because we were upset he left with our baby. He straight left us at the sand dunes were we took pictures.
