All I have to say is YUM!! Really great vibes here , you'll find a welcoming staff and the sweetest Owner. I was easily able to request a completely vegan bowl without any fuss. They carry tofu and my bowl was delicious ! I will be a repeat customer for sure .

Awesome place, great poke! Very kids friendly, they have games. Nice staff too! Low key, not a fancy place, but casual and earthy.

Okay... I'm officially obsessed with Jimmy's Pita & Poke…read more This was my second time back, and honestly? Zero guilt eating here it's fresh, filling, and somehow still feels like a "good decision" meal. And let's talk portions... these bowls are massive. Easily shareable if you're trying to be budget-conscious, but fair warning, you probably won't want to share. This time we ordered the Jimmy's Bowl, we skipped the pineapple, but everything else? Incredible. The spicy salmon and tuna were insanely fresh, the kind where you can actually taste the quality. It just melts in your mouth. Every layer adds something: crisp cucumber, jalapeños, green onions, crispy onions, chili, avocado... it's like a perfectly built flavor stack. I also got the Munson gyro with greens (I went with romaine) and extra tzatziki and wow. Between the feta, the freshness, and that sauce, it hit every note. Pro tip: order an extra pita. I did, and turned it into two meals without even trying. Don't sleep on this spot!

The pitas are delicious and so are the poke bowls. While the prices have increased over time, it's overall worth what you pay for. Everything is fresh no matter what you order and the variety of food makes it better too. I always love going here to order something. I loved the Philly pita and I also love doing a poke bowl with salmon, tuna, rice and greens. With so many toppings to choose from and other good stuff it's the best. Also the breakfast items here are also delicious as they're also fresh and cooked to perfection. No complaints from me and always leave a generous tip here. Also this is a good place for club fundraisers too.

How have I not been here before?! Seriously…read more Taichi hits that sweet spot of fast, fresh, and actually satisfying--which is not always easy to find, especially when you want something on the lighter side. The menu is super customizable, which I love--especially if you're plant-based or just trying to keep things on the healthier side. Tons of veggie and vegan options, and nothing feels like an afterthought. I went with a tofu bowl and it was delish--fresh, flavorful, and filling without being heavy. Exactly what you want when it's blazing hot and you need something refreshing but still crave-worthy. Service was great--quick, friendly, and easy. The whole space has a cute, clean aesthetic too, making it a perfect low-key brunch or midday reset spot during those intense desert heat days. Light, refreshing, customizable, and reliable? Say less. I'd definitely go back.

Taichi Bubble Tea…read more This review is based on an Uber Eats order, and honestly... if the food tastes this good after delivery, I can only imagine how incredible it is in person. I didn't see the restaurant itself yet, but after this experience, visiting is officially on the to-do. We started with the takoyaki balls, which were an absolute standout. I'm not an expert on how they're made, but I did notice pieces of octopus inside, and wow so good. The sauce on top is an explosion of flavor: rich, savory, slightly sweet, and totally addictive. I could eat these every time and never get bored. Next, we built our own Tachi burrito bowl and this is where Taichi really shines. The customization options are next-level. You can choose white rice, brown rice, no rice, and even a greens base. Then you get three proteins yes, three. Options include tuna, spicy tuna, salmon, spicy salmon, shrimp, tofu, crab meat, and chicken. From there, it's toppings galore: avocado, cucumbers, red onions, cherry tomatoes, jalapeños, mango, masago, seaweed salad, and crunchy add-ons like fried garlic or fried onions. The variety alone deserves applause. And then... the sauces. This is where you can really get creative. Spicy mayo, poke sauce, chili hot sauce, eel sauce, mango sauce, ponzu, Thai sweet chili, Thousand Island, wasabi the list goes on. We went with spicy tuna, salmon, and spicy salmon, and let me tell you fresh, flavorful, perfectly balanced. Every bite worked. I don't claim to be a poke or Thai food expert, but whatever choices we made... we absolutely made the right ones. Bottom line: even through delivery, Taichi delivered. Fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and endless customization. Next time, in person, and probably ordering way too much.

They have really…read moreupped their game these last couple of years (I'm guessing thanks to their new head chef). In my prior review, I complained about a lack of consistency in their meals. Not anymore! I can happily say that my meals have been consistently good. They've updated their menu many times since my last review - this is for the better. While they still have some of their classics like their ramen (the vegan ramen is actually delicious and with umami flavor), they've added other fun things like the braised short rib donburi. (Which they recently had a special where the donburi was made with udon noodles instead of rice - please make this a permanent menu item!!) I love their yuzu yellowtail sashimi dish. To be honest, I would argue Obon has some of the best sushi in Tucson. Their cocktails have also gotten much better. Before, I felt like many of them were pretty strange creations. Now, their drinks are still unique but thoughtfully made - not full of sugars, candy, etc. I look forward to having a cocktail at Obon now. The interior/exterior of the restaurant has not changed; I do not mind this. The ambiance has always felt right. If there was one minor thing I'd change, it would be so that when you sit at the sushi bar, you could actually see the sushi being made (it's hard to explain the seating at the bar but basically the view of the sushi chefs at work is sorta blocked by the unused sushi itself). But this is incredibly minor and not at all an issue causing a lesser rating. As you can see, I have come to really love Obon. I come here semi-regularly, both on dates and with friends, so I felt it was only just to update my previous critiques. If it's been a while since you last tried Obon, definitely give it another go. They are doing some good work here, clearly listening to customers and making improvements.

We began with ordering edemame and yellow tail nigiri to start. It was from the happy hour menu which was a great start to our meal. I also got their cocktail of the day, which was pretty refreshing. Keep in mind that HH is good until 6pm. We also ordered salmon roll, teriyaki noodles with either white rice and 2 buns to share. It was good enough for two people. Overall, food tasted great. Very fresh.

Fuji Bowl with Tuna with half the serving of rice but my last time there I tried the black sesame ramen. It was really rich and flavorful. I want to say that it was just as good as Monta Ramen in Chinatown in Las Vegas. You walk up, you order then they text you when your order is ready. There are about nine or ten different food options, so you have a ton to choose from. You have everything from hot dogs, Greek food, burgers, pizza, pasta, sushi, coffee, and more. On top of that, about a third of the space is a full bar, which adds to the overall vibe. We tried Monster Sonoran Dogs and GM Kitchen 86, and both were really good. It is similar to a food court style set up, but it is modern and elevated, but with a rustic feel and vibe. It has a cool pink bun and all of the fixings of a Sonoran dog with Birria on top. They also had something called juicy sticks which is basically mozzarella sticks with Birria onions, cilantro, salsa Verde, and a lime. This has an amazing cheese pool if you are looking for an epic photo app and delicious taste. We also tried the gourmet sandwiches and delicious burgers called GM kitchen 86. We got the butcher burger and fries and it did not disappoint. The burger is stacked high with two patties and two onion rings and slathered with sauce and cheese. I highly recommend checking out this location, especially for the variety that it has and the atmosphere.
