Alyssa did amazing work for our wedding in Yucca Valley. I initially selected her because I liked her previous work on a floral arch, but she nailed it on everything else too! The bud vases were so sweet and romantic but also affordable. My sister commented they looked vintage chic. I would definitely recommend bud vases instead of traditional floral centerpieces if you aren't looking to spend all of your budget on florals. Alyssa can really make them look beautiful. If you are looking for high quality florals at an accessible price point in the high desert, work with Desert Rose Creative! read more

Alyssa is nice and if you need flowers, by all means hire her. But if looking for a full or day-of wedding/party planner, please stay away. I think she is just trying to get that part of her business up and running, but she should definitely stay in her lane. So much went wrong, so here goes. Her budget was way off. She did not return calls in a timely manner until it was brought to her attention. Not a big deal? Ah, sadly, there's more. We found out day before the wedding that her computerized version of seating arrangements was "just an approximation." So seating was way off from how we had imagined and we had to make last minute adjustments. She does not know how to run a rehearsal and announced to all that she had never seen a wedding like ours before! (The men walking to the front while bridesmaids walked down alone). This was followed by her lining up all backwards and everyone was trying to tell her it was wrong. So much confusion that the pastor finally took over saying, "Friends, I'm now running this rehearsal." She should've been embarrassed, but she wasn't. The day of the wedding she asked me how to display the table menus - one for each table. I had previously asked her how many frames to bring and she told me. I brought extra, but it wasn't enough. No problem, she said, we can just put the ones without frames up against the centerpieces. How tacky! As guests began to arrive, a friend asked where she could put her wedding gift. When I asked Alyssa, she said that "no one brings gifts to weddings anymore," so there wasn't a place for them. The wedding was to have bubbles on each seat. Not on mine, and I'm the MOB! Didn't get to blow bubbles for my daughter. And others felt the same way. What part of "every seat " is hard to understand? At the reception, wine was to be self-serve on the table and would then be replenished as needed. When I noticed some friends had no wine, her lame excuse was that she thought it would be nice to serve our guests. But those glasses were empty!! There's more but you get the picture. Along the planning way, when asked for lists of what she should be doing and when, her response was that we had no need to worry because it was all in her head. But it clearly was not. We paid a lot for her services. Almost $6000, not including flowers. The day ended up beautiful but because we had to work around her. Such a disappointment. The most disappointing things is when I reached out to her to discuss all of this after the wedding, she took absolutely no responsibility for anything. She actually thinks she did a great job. I'm here to tell you she did not. read more

Alyssa was our floral designer for our wedding and I cannot speak highly enough about her. We booked her more than a year out because I found her page on Instagram and fell in love. Not only was she hyper-communicative, she was 100% transparent and honest when it came to design, flowers in season (October Wedding), and how they would be able to be used throughout the ceremony. She got so many things locally, and it was an absolute pleasure to finally meet her in person! If I lived closer I would do anything to have a bouquet from her on my table at least every other week! If you are looking for floral design, Alyssa is your girl! Take a look at the amazing photos for yourself! read more

Alyssa absolutely slayed our small wedding. Our goals in planning our elopement were simple: keep everything as low stress as possible and really showcase our personal style as a couple. Alyssa went above and beyond in both categories! She designed and styled gorgeous florals for the ceremony, helped us find phenomenal vendors, and on the day-of made sure everything went smoothly. Alyssa exceeded all of our expectations , she went above and beyond to make our florals what wedding dreams are made of! Alyssa's prices and value for her beautiful floral talents are the best in the basin. Alyssa made sure to meet with us in advance to go over each and every detail before our wedding day to ensure that it was exactly what we envisioned. She ensured that the vision we had our big day was in line with the inspiration board we provided her including 2 large arch arrangements, 2 bride's bouquets,9 center pieces, 5 boutonniere, and 6 corsages . She also made sure everything was picture perfect for our bouquets including incorporating a picture pendant as well as carefully wrapping our bouquets in hand lettered ribbons that I had traced my late mothers handwriting on. She ensured that these special ribbons were wrapped perfectly and we will forever treasure these as it helped both of us feel close to my mom who attended the wedding within our hearts, she even created a custom lantern corsage for the occasion. In addition, Alyssa was also able to troubleshoot an issue and pivot as needed when the original plan for our center pieces didn't work out. She quickly and calmly explained the issue at hand and provided us with several options for remedying the issue, we truly believe that the center pieces she provided were even better than our original idea! Following our wedding, we received numerous compliments about our florals and overall vibe of the wedding that she helped us craft. Alyssa is amazing to work with and we recommend her to anyone looking for a high quality floral experience! read more

I'm still a little shocked over how bad our ceremony flowers were. Attached are two pictures with the inspiration I sent and then a picture of what we got. I wanted stacked potted plants and flowers. It was supposed to look full, healthy, and flourishing. Instead, I got like 5 small, sad, wonky cactuses. It was so tacky and horrible to also be able to fully see the crates. I had asked Alyssa if she had basket pots to use and she said yes. No idea what happened to that. It looks like someone came and stole all our flowers. I don't know what she was thinking. Alyssa specially asked me if I wanted flowers on our arch and I told her I really just wanted the potted plants. I said that the plants should be so voluminous that we don't need flowers on the arch. She did the flowers on the arch anyway, I guess to try and make up for how bad the potted plants looked. But it wasn't what we wanted. This was $2,000. I don't understand how that's possible. I wish she was honest and told us she wasn't able to do it rather than put some $5 cactuses on crates and call it a day. I'm so embarrassed about how it looked. We wanted to do something different and unique and it came out looking cheap and uninspired. read more

Alyssa took the time to answer all of my questions, clarifications and details that's meant so much to us. She was able to accommodate our center pieces, arch, bouquets, boutonnieres and florals for our cake. They were ALL stunning. I couldn't get over how beautiful they all were. Working with Alyssa - The Desert Rose was an absolute dream! Being a (transplant) desert florist, It makes my job so much easier working with a local planner.. one who understands the Desert elements, localities and surprises! Our bride decided last minute she would rather save some money than have our team deliver - which is totally fine - but then it fell on Alyssa's lap, which isn't at all her responsibility and she rolled with it like a trooper! The high desert isn't for the faint of heart when it comes to weddings .. but if you decide to brave the wild - windy and unpredictable beauty I would hire Alyssa to help not only carry you through the day but help you plan from day one! Alyssa was an amazing wedding coordinator we used for our destination wedding in Pioneertown. I called her 16 days before we wanted to have our wedding and she put it all together. She was in constant contact with me, always replying to emails promptly. She created the table decorations and it looked amazing. Alyssa also officiated our wedding and her words were wonderful. Since we do not live near Pioneertown, we really put our trust in her and can't be more happy that we did. She is wonderful. read more

I recently worked with Alyssa on a wedding and I have to say I was very impressed. She was very thorough, and really thought of every detail. The table decor was gorgeous, and the wedding itself was very unique. She planned the wedding in a very short time, and on a smaller budget but honestly you couldn't tell. Alyssa was very organized, and was able to express exactly what she wanted and expected of those setting up the venue. I was able to be a guest at the wedding later in the evening and EVERYONE raved about the decor, and said it was absolutely magical. I will absolutely have Alyssa plan me my wedding and any party I throw in the future. read more

We hired Alyssa to help us coordinate our big day and I cannot recommend her enough! She took charge of contacting every single one of our vendors and made sure they knew when and where to be. She came to the rehearsal dinner and walked through the venue to be ready for the big day. And the morning of the wedding, she showed up early with her assistant to decorate, direct vendors and tell guests where to be. When the sound system didn't work and the food truck was running late, she got on the phone with both vendors and fixed it. Alyssa turned what could have been an incredibly stressful day into an amazing one that went off without a hitch and we will remember for the rest of our lives. She even stayed late to help clean up, going above and beyond what services and time we expected. Again - Alyssa is top notch. You won't be making a mistake by hiring her! read more

Of all the things that I did for our wedding, meeting Alyssa and having her as my planner was the absolute best thing! When I think of all that she did to make the day seamless, effortless, enjoyable and over the top special my heart buzzes and my eyes fill with tears. She is such a gift, from her mellow and grounding energy, to her eye for styling everything to perfection. She went above and beyond from the get go, helping me establish the timeline ahead of time, meeting at the house on Friday and being there while the vendors set up, taking home the tambourines to tie the little tags on them. Not to mention helping it all flow the day of. I don't know if I could have released the reigns to anyone else the way I was able to with Alyssa because I knew she got my vision and was willing to make it come to life. Even in the uncertain moments, like wrangling all the people for the shuttle and handling the Palm Springs crew arriving late, she handled everything with such grace that it encouraged me to do the same.
