Experience like no other when your word is, your reputation and business can be flourishing operating with honesty, respect for your clients and most importantly for yourself and your reputation and of course motivation and excitement for what you do ! So I have two classic cars, Porsche and a Ford F150 truck and a situation that suddenly came to my life with medical expenses due to a southern but treatable medical issue that prevented me from working and brought a lot of immense challenges to me and my family in a matter of months. Going from being a athletic healthy person to not being able to walk with constant hospitalizations and multiple misdiagnosis, etc. it's been a challenging year. Hence the reason why I needed to sell things and sell quick listed the cars online and the strong interest was another thing to deal with as I got hundreds of people messaging day and night with no one actually going through with the purchase as selling stuff isn't the easiest of things to do nowadays especially a classic car or two. Doing some research online I came across there's a private collection and decided to reach out to See if they would be interested in purchasing my cars after a quick conversation with a very proper and respectful representative by name of Dimitri, I was able to send some photos and videos along with information on my cars via text and in a matter of hours I got an offer to buy out both vehicles at once which I couldn't appreciate more given my situation. For those who have little experience with car sales, used cars and situation with trade-in value and dealership evaluations in these cases know that you get ripped off with crazy low offers for the car that you're trading in or selling in my case to a dealership. Besides all the other things and tricks that happen adding to the already not so good reputation of used car or car dealers in general. Dimitri and his way of working with a customer from answering that phone call to actually willing to hear the customer out and being able to relate while still doing a business transaction that is supposed to pay his bills and his employees paychecks in these challenging times for running a business in general should be an example to all other car, dealers and businesses in general as he gave me an offer for both cars that was straightforward and definitely satisfactory with great communication in the process every step of the way and quick less than 24 hour turn around between my initial phone call and his driver being on the way to LA to pick up the cars. BUYER BEWARE Coming up on two years since I bought a 1979 Porsche 911 SC from Dimitry, at desert Private Collection. I was concerned about it passing smog test , it had no smog pump & no catalytic converter . Dimitry told me he had it smog tested and it passed . he said drive it for 30 minutes before testing . I found out later out later that Riverside county does not do smog test . After sometime Dimitry gave me a smog pump ,no catalytic convertor ! So at a high cost to me I had it smog tested in Los Angeles County . have it inspected before you buy & know the car value ! read more

Originally contacted them about a vehicle they had in stock. Although they sent me a video of the vehicle, they didn't seem to know the history of the vehicle or of any work performed on it and basically just said "it starts right up" and "drives fine". When I asked what shipping costs were, the response was, "if your a serious buyer, I'll let you know ", kind of an insult, of course i'm serious, can well afford to buy the vehicle outright or finance. Never heard from them again. With these responses I can't recommend them and not a business I would entertain. read more

The take away from my experience is that you must actually inspect before buying and preferably take a mechanic with you that is a specialist in the specific classic that your looking to buy. Sadly being too trusting I assumed that what I saw and enquired about, then bought unseen, turned out to be over a year of renovation work. The car's bones were good but everything else from a plastic snapper to a full engine and suspension replacement was required. Financially I spent three times on the vehicle over that which I bought it for. There was not a single piece of rubber that did not need replacing. Looking back I would certainly not repeat the experience. The extra rating star is simply because I liked the classic frame they had to sell. read more

I had a beautiful experience with them. I wasn't sure if I wanted the Camaro coupe or a Mustang convertible. They were both so beautiful! I came everyday for a week going back-and-forth and driving them. I even brought my golf clubs to make sure they fit in the trunk. I am a small but passionate collector of vintage original cars, currently owning a 1959 Convertible D, 1959 super coupe, 1982 Targa SC, 1989 930, 1970 914-6. All are clean, original or expertly restored examples. Wanting to ad to my collection, I found VIN# 12820120 a rare 1968 912 in signal green from Dimitry at Palm Desert Auto in Palm Desert California. This car looked good in pictures, and my initial contact with the dealer was favorable and the dealer had good reviews.  Because I was impressed with Dimitry and the reviews, I neglected to get a PPI (I know…..) He answered all my questions while assuring me over an over what great car this was. I signed the “as is condition” paperwork, and happily waited for the car to arrive…..After receiving the car, nothing could have been further from the truth. He claimed: one paint chip on hood (false) mush worse paint then described. chips, bubbles and fisheyes GOLD SPRAY PAINTED HOOD AND DOOR LATCHES to look new SILVER SPRAY PAINTED wheel hubs and generator to look new claimed speedometer not connected but working (false) claimed gas gauge working  (false) claimed all lights work (false) (no high beams, no license plate lights, no brake lights) Seats installed reversed Wiring was a disaster! oil temp sender not connected and NO WIRE oil pressure sensor not hooked up and NO WIRE the car came with NO GAS CAP NO GAS TANK VENT TUBE (all gas splashed of car on the way to NY (fire hazard?!) NO BRAKE FLUID IN RESERVOIR GENERATOR WAS DEAD but painted to look new Freshly undercoated over rust under the back seats, who knows what else? I blame myself for not getting a PPI, and I was lucky Dimitry accepted the car back after I complained...... but this dealer kept a substantial deposit from me and has the car listed again for far more then I paid. Buyer beware.....this car merits a VERY CLOSE INSPECTION to make sure the repairs (if done) were carried out correctly. If not, I would be very careful about this car and dealer.  Feel free to contact me for more details and pictures…. Phoned about a vehicle they had for sale online. Being an out of state buyer I wanted the car inspected off site. Spoke to Demitri and he stated they had done an inspection before purchasing the vehicle. Thats great, but I'm not taking his word for it. I had a detailed vehicle inspection done, including engine compression, interior & exterior condition and all four tires were taken off to inspect bushing, shocks, etc. Thank goodness, there were so many issues with the car, none of which had been disclosed. If they had actually done a through inspection on the car, then they should have disclosed the numerous issues, especially at the price they were asking for the vehicle, $33,000! The inspection came back with a vehicle value at less than half the price they were offering! Very dishonest & shady in my book. Not sure how they have any 5 star reviews. Always get an outside inspection folks. Saved me a ton of money and headaches. read more
