From the beginning, the amount of prep with power washing, repairing stucco, sealing wood surfaces, and putting protective coverings over our various windows, and then sealing and priming before starting to paint. Our house got the care it needed after 10 years of ware from the sun and natural settling. Truly, we feel they went above and beyond what the job entailed by taking care of multiple things not originally discussed with the job without be charged extra. This included painting our porch bench, the metal on our gate, and the list could go on. All with the goal of making sure we were happy with the outcome of our home. The little details like this make a huge difference and the kindness and care were exceptional. They handled all the prep work to make the surface ready for paint, pulled rock back from the foundation, power washed, lacquered the lights, repainted the black iron, and all garage door parts, front door hardware. They took the old shutters (cheap wood) off and painted our new shutters which are now waiting for us to install (after curing). Alex was detail oriented, answers all our questions. The whole experience from quote to completion was outstanding. Their quote may have been a little higher than others we received however they did everything, where as others would not. Communication was done via e-mail so everything was in writing and could be referred back to. It was so nice to hand them our keys this spring and come back this fall to a new kitchen and ceilings. We had a few phone conversations throughout the remodel and they provided photos of their progress. Upon our return we found a very clean house (popcorn removal is a messy job) and just a couple of very minor details which were promptly addressed. We delayed having cabinet pulls and a light installed so we could match them to the finished kitchen. We were so glad we did as this gave us an opportunity to meet a couple of the nice guys that had done much of the work. We were able to see first hand how carefully they prepped and covered the work area to protect things and skillfully worked on putting the finishing touches to our beautiful new kitchen. This gave us a large utility room with a closet, sink and storage. We also moved a wall, giving us a larger dinning room and a separate TV room, replaced a glass sliding door with a single French Door. They also replaced the tile and carpet with Luxury Vinyl Flooring, installed ceiling fans and can lights. All doors and casings were replaced and painted along with the whole interior of the home. The office staff was a pleasure to work with and quick to respond to our emails and phone calls. We really appreciated Lindsey's suggestions when picking out countertops and stain for the laundry room cabinets. Per our contract timeline all the work was done in the time frame presented to us. The work crews always informed us on what they would be working on each day. They were presentable, friendly and polite. You could tell they took pride in the work they were doing. We prefer smaller local owned and operated companies. With those factors in mind I found Platinum Exteriors was very highly rated. Like insane ratings, so I checked on our neighborhood Facebook page to see if anyone had used them. I found that multiple had and all highly recommended them. I reached out about a month ago through Facebook and the response was lightning fast. After answering a few questions I was given a price quote. I thought it was very fair. Trusting the quality reviews and my neighbors experience I moved forward with an appointment. After scheduling I found out I needed approval from my HOA. I submitted the forms hoping our scheduled date could be met. I would message every so often to check in. My questions very promptly and kindly answered very quickly each time. The approval came just in time. On paint day the crew did our 2 story pop outs and garage door first. They showed up the next morning and finished the job by evening. The crew and owner had great communication. The work was done both efficiently and very thorough. The attention to detail and clear experience painting was great to see. They moved the rocks away from the house to get complete coverage. My wife had a few special painting requests and they accommodated all of them in a kind and respectful manner. We hired Arizona Painting Company while preparing to sell our home, which was already a stressful…read moreprocess with three children and both of us working full-time. After receiving four quotes, we chose them based on a recommendation and initial confidence during our consultation. Unfortunately, our experience quickly became disappointing. We met in February and scheduled a start date of March 11. We were told someone would contact us the week prior to confirm paint colors, but we never received a call and had to follow up ourselves. On day one, the foreman did a walkthrough and said they would start upstairs. Only minimal prep work was completed on two bedrooms before the crew left early, promising to return the next morning. Day two was even more concerning. Only one worker showed up, the foreman was absent, and prep work was still incomplete by midday. We also observed workers frequently leaving to vape. I will say the project manager was responsive and communicative when I reached out, and did try to address concerns. That evening, a serious incident occurred. We were alerted via our Ring camera that there was an issue involving the crew and our neighbors. When I called the foreman, he stated they were disposing of paint by digging a hole and burying it on the property. Given how close our homes are, this understandably upset our neighbors. The situation escalated into a confrontation, resulting in police being called, and the crew was told to leave. When we returned home, prep work was still unfinished, no painting had been completed, and there was trash left behind. A new crew arrived on day three and completed the job in a single day, which highlighted how inefficient the previous crew had been. However, communication remained poor at the management level. I attempted multiple times to reach a supervisor but never received a callback before the weekend. While we were eventually offered compensation, it was not proactively handled. I had to follow up myself to address and correct the compensation, which added to the frustration and made it feel like resolving the issue was not a priority. Due to managing our children and my husband working a 48-hour shift, I couldn't fully inspect everything immediately. After noticing additional incomplete work, I reached out again and received no response. We've hired many service providers over the years and have never experienced anything like this. This project caused unnecessary delays in selling our home and added significant stress. Given the cost and importance of this work, we expected far better professionalism, communication, and accountability.
