Terrible Experience Due to Unprofessional Marshall I've been to many golf courses, but my visit here was marred by the absolutely rude and unprofessional behavior of the course Marshall. We were treated with such disrespect, it completely ruined our experience. Not only was he unhelpful, but his attitude was downright hostile. As paying customers, we expected to be treated with courtesy, but instead, we were met with unnecessary hostility and poor customer service. We were told to skip holes and speed up our pace. The issue was that they were overbooked and did not have golf carts to start us on time . When my husband tried to explain the Marshall got very hostile. This ruined the golfing experience for us and our friends. It's a shame because the course itself had potential, but the lack of professionalism from the staff will make us think twice before returning back. If you value being treated with respect, I highly suggest looking elsewhere. read more

Just hit a large bucket at the range and wouldn't go here again for any reason. A $10 large bucket consists of approx 65 balls of which about 10 should have been tossed ages ago (busted or dimples eroded). Grass is not cut or maintained in the teeing area of the range. So you have to try to find a bare spot unless you like hitting out of wispy rough-like grass. Thought I'd try the practice putting green and it wasn't much better. Looks like it may have been punched recently, but idk as that could just be par for the course. Skip it! read more

Very nice course. Didn't think much of it at first, but once we drove up I was surprised it looked nice! Walking into the clubhouse and checked in for our tee time was treated by happy polite staff. They were very helpful being it was my first time there. Returned for a second round week later and still great experience. Great bartenders and a great burger! Oh, and the 8am Bloody Mary taste great! Will be back for sure. read more

Personally meet the chef and he just happen to give the worst first impression someone can have. Like bro your not better then anyone. Was completely ignored ,not spoke to or eye contact not even my guest as he was the first person to meet us as we walk into the absolutely empty build which I know why. I bet if I didn't look the way I did I would have been treated differently. Sad read more

My first golf course ever so I can't compare it to anything, but the staff was extremely friendly and the golfers on the course were just as courteous. It was $72 for three of us, given a military discount ($5 off green fee), a free green fee for the birthday boy and club rentals. Ok, first not a bad course. Run very poorly. Put out a threesome, followed by a single,followed by another single, followed by a threesome. WTF. Last time was a we were a threesome following a slow group of 5 that would not let us play through. read more

It's tough to have a good time playing here. If you're not playing your hole in under 5 minutes, one of the "regulars" is going to call the clubhouse and complain. Management wont even consider if you are playing a good pace or not. The course is ran by the "regulars". Every time I've played here it's been an issue. Was on pace on playing a 3 hour 45 min round and had complaints. They tell you to double up on carts but then favor some people and they all get their own carts. Was also told by management that I shouldn't be making tee times during the hours these "regular" groups play. And that "I can handle the heat in the later hours". It gets to about 110 after 1130am. They have no courtesy for customers, it's ran by certain individuals who don't even work for the course. Course is in barely decent shape, fairways have long tough grass and the course is mowed probably once every 2 weeks. Fire ants everywhere throughout the course. They jacked their prices up, got rid of their military discount. The only reason for the 1 star is the front desk people are nice. Bartenders are good people as well read more

Desert Hills GC is pretty average. The fairways are pretty dry and could use some water and fertilizer. It has a few very challenging holes that require putting together big solid hits. We play the "9 and dine" on Wednesdays and that's a pretty good deal at $24. The first few weeks, the restaurant service was terrible (mixed orders, slow service), but following a couple of discussions with the manager that is starting to turn around and get much better. I love watching and hearing the F-35 (ATF's) do sorties out of Yuma Marine AB... the sound of freedom. read more

One of the better golf courses in Yuma. Pretty cheap during the summer, gets a little more expensive during the winter. Very well kept up and it has a good mixture of holes. Much more landscaping than some of the other course out here which are just long straight and flat. read more
