This is one of those hidden gems stashed…read morefrom Main St., and for a small restaurant, it packs a weapons grade A++ for the food and service. For those of us in Phoenix, we'll have to make the trip to Yuma, but it's worth making the drive for a day trip or doing an overnighter. I had the lasagna...an item that was taken off the menu but recommended by the owner (Mario) since they made some that day. It's gone now, and I savored every bite--sorry about that. Besides, a pic wouldn't do justice to the rich layers of piping hot, tender pasta sheets, slathered in hearty meat sauce and creamy béchamel and ricotta. If this is Italian comfort food, I'm all in with the way Mario's crew put this master piece on a plate. This also goes for the caprese, Cacio e pepe, margherita romana, along with the deserts like the tiramisu' de treviso, cherry cannoli siciliani, and even the bread basket is over the top. Again, apologies for the lack of photos, I will say that the visual appeal of each dish matched the flavors, so the food vanished before the thought of a photo op crossed my mind, and I savored every bite--errr, sorry about again. But if I had to make a statement describing the whole dining experience: "the gods smiled". To summarize: -Imported ingredients from Italy -Fresh vegetables -Mellow atmosphere -Service and dialog with Mario -Outstanding food Highly recommended! I'll take pictures and post them next time we dine here.

They serve a healthy menu with a variety of options sandwiches/wraps, breakfast options, vegan, kids menu, smoothies, lemonade, coffees, alcohol (after 4pm) etc. I ordered a BALT sandwich meal combo--included fries or chips + lemonade (w/flavor options). No big deal, I thought. But the sandwich was served up on fresh sourdough and the bacon was chopped up into tiny pieces so it was so easy to eat without tugging, and served with avocado slices, tomato, lettuce and the right amount of mayo ratio (which was important). The homemade lemonade was a treat. And I had the garlic fries--delicious! As mentioned, I'm still thinking about how good that sandwich was. The place isn't huge but they seat a lot of people. Try this sandwich shop--it will not disappoint!

Absolutely horrible experience and some of the worst customer service I've ever received…read more We arrived at 8:30 PM, a full 30 minutes before closing, and were told we could only get our food to go. Apparently, closing in 30 minutes means customers are no longer welcome to dine in. The employee was polite, but that doesn't make up for a terrible policy. The biggest issue was that they completely messed up my order. I ordered a bowl and instead received a sandwich with a meat I don't even eat. By the time I got home and realized their mistake, I called immediately. I even offered to drive all the way back to pick up the correct order myself. Their response was basically, "Too bad, the kitchen is closed." So let me get this straight: they make the mistake, charge me for food I never ordered, send me home with something I didn't want, and then refuse to fix it because they closed the kitchen. That's not customer service--that's taking someone's money and leaving them stuck with the consequences of your own mistake. A business should stand behind its orders and correct its mistakes. Instead, they chose the easiest option for themselves and left me paying for food I couldn't even enjoy. Completely unacceptable. I will not be returning, and I would strongly recommend others think twice before spending their money here.

It has a variety of basic food items, a small clothing section, school supplies and housewares, Mexican specialty items including a restaurant and a small bakery, and a large selection of fresh meat and poultry. Some prices were higher than Walmart or Fry's. A 5lb bag of potatoes was $2.99 (and $2.94 at Walmart). A half-gallon of Sarah whole milk was $2.29 (and $1.72 for Walmart's Great Value brand). However, turnips were $2.69 each (and $3.04 at Fry's). The boxed and canned items also seemed higher. The family-size box of Cheerios was approx. $1.50 higher than Walmart. Del Sol has a weekly ad which is online and you can also get a paper copy at the door. If you have lived in the Foothills a long time, you might remember that the old Hank's Market used to be in the building across the street from Del Sol. Hank's was also overpriced, but it was very convenient for Foothills residents. In those days, there was only the old Fry's in the Foothills and the Walmart on Pacific Ave. I did not try the restaurant items. They had homemade tamales for $3.19 each. I thought they looked rather small (flat) and I passed them by. Maybe next time. Del Sol is clean, well-stocked, and it is a very pleasant environment. The walking (if you are elderly or disabled) is much easier than hiking through Walmart. I plan to make Del Sol a part of my shopping routine, along with Walmart's curbside pick-up. I bought a half-gallon of milk, 2 large turnips, 2 bananas, 4 avocados, and a 5lb bag of potatoes. The total came to $12.60. They had some beautiful fresh turkey legs -- I'm going to buy one the next time.

The food is genuinely delicious and clearly made fresh--every dish tastes like it came straight from the kitchen with care and attention, not off an assembly line. It's almost a problem how many favorites there are on the menu, because choosing just one feels impossible. What really elevates the experience, though, is the service. The staff are consistently friendly, welcoming, and impressively fast without ever making you feel rushed. It strikes that perfect balance that keeps you relaxed but never waiting long for anything. The atmosphere ties it all together. There's a great vibe in the space, with music that adds energy without overpowering conversation.
