She's incredible! The office runs smoothly, barely any wait time for my appointment, I was routed to Jenna quickly after arriving. Very modernized, each station seems to have its own X-ray machine readily accessible, and the panoramic machine for the 3-year scan was quick and easy to use as well. No clunky inserts needed for either scan, I was very impressed by the equipment. The overhead TV was nice too, it made my 90-minute cleaning pass quickly. I also appreciate that the hygienist had insurance detailed information readily accessible, so she was able to inform me about coverages and extra costs right there, without having to check in with the front desk. Alpenglow has its practices nailed down to a science! I also learned today that they offer free introductory visits for kids, with a focus on making it a fun visit and shake off any fear.

Alpenglow's is $100 to start then $35 a month which gets you 2 cleanings and x-rays each year and 15% off anything else. My x-rays were quite the adventure. I gagged one time which is normal for me. But the very nice and well-meaning hygienist wanted to help. She asked for a shaker of salt. Someone else in the office said she had one. She then comes over with a test tube of "salt" to put on my tongue to distract me so I wouldn't gag. I was highly suspicious... so I tasted some. It was citric acid. SO acidic it burned. They told me they were going to put a stripe of it on my tongue! So glad I stopped them! Just putting the story here so you can also stop them because wow that would have been awful if I'd just trusted them and had a mouthful of citric acid I expected to be a quick shake of salt. Besides that, I saw Jennifer Montgomery and really liked her. She taught me how to unlock my jaw which no one has ever taught me and I've had jaw issues since childhood. She did a thorough cleaning and didn't diagnose any problems that weren't there which is a huge problem in dentistry. Glad I found someone I can trust!

I have never felt the need to tell people about my dental experience, however, after going to…read moreDenture Artistry, that has changed. This place is amazing! From the moment you walk in, you know things are different. The staff are incredibly friendly, not fake friendly or overly sweet, but genuinely nice. After you are checked in they give you a tour of the facility, tell you about their mission (more on that later), and introduce you to everyone - literally everyone in the building who doesn't have their hand in someone else's mouth - and answer any questions you have. They show you the milling machine they use to make their crowns, implants, veneers, etc. onsite which means you get your new tooth permanent fixed in one day, unlike other places where you get a temporary tooth for a few weeks while your new tooth is being made elsewhere. They also show you the room where they make dentures, which is also pretty neat to see. From what I understand of their mission, the founders of the practice wanted to focus on the most expensive parts of dentistry and make it affordable for everyone. I can attest that they have succeeded, at least in my case. I have had a crown at another facility in Bend and it was a $2,600 shock on my way out the door, after the procedure was done. My entire procedure at Denture Artistry was less than $1,200 for a crown on the same tooth on the other side of my mouth. At Denture Artistry, they give you a FREE exam, complete with 3D imaging, not the old bite wings that cut your mouth. They lay out all the options and discuss your treatment plan with you; with all of the prices up front. Nothing is forced and they don't try to pressure you to get treatment you don't want or can't afford. You will have to pay at the time of service as they don't bill insurance for you. They will however, take your insurance information and fill out the reimbursement form for you to mail to your insurance company. Pretty simple. Even I can do it.

They grew up over 100 years ago. This gave me a strong drive to maintain my teeth. After a bad dental report from another office, I called Bend Family Dentistry hoping to get a 2nd opinion. The woman who answered immediately went into action to see what they could do for me. Weeks later I walked out of Bend Family Dentistry on 3rd Street in Bend, my teeth properly cleaned and I'm smiling. I witnessed confident employees who love their jobs. I highly recommend Bend Family Dentistry. They provide excellent quality work, show compassion and listen to you, and their prices are reasonable. I had decided on dentures after years of pain and she assured me this was something she could do. A full upper was done. She then told me my four front lower teeth had to go and she could make me a lower partial that looked like a retainer. So she extracted those as well. $8500.00 later she out right refused to finish my bottom partial. Her treatment coordinator simply replied to every question I had with " You have been referred to another dentist." Dr. Theda was paid in full for this work both by my insurance and in cash by me. I have no idea why she referred me. My insurance will not pay twice for same procedure and I am left withOUT four bottom front teeth. The office did offer me a refund but it was so little I can not make my mouth whole until I save enough money to pay for the copays at another dentist. They were nice and my cleanings were good. Being on the road I was nervous on going to a new place. What place could be better than a place in LA? Well, a friend in town recommended this place and we called and she worked hard to get me and my husband in before we left. Calls, confirmations, phone calls. I was surprised about the effort considering they were booked months out and no guarantee when we could come back. The day of I got there and they take you on a 3 minute tour and then some paper work. You sit with the dental assistant for a minute with questions and pictures and then this crazy 360 picture. Then the dentist comes in and the exam was the best I have ever had. Not just teeth, my jaw, sinus, some other words. He spent longer than I expected and wasn't hurrying off after 10 minutes. Showed me every picture and explained everything. My current and long term situation. Then the cleaning. They use a water laser something. No scraping, except for like 45 seconds at the end. I left completely happy. Then I got in my car and looked in the mirror and BLOWN, blown away. There wasnt a single stain, and she got everything off. I love tea and soda, teeth staining experts. TMI and a little embarrassing but it keeps me going when I can. I mentioned lite brite to bleach my teet and he waved it off. Didn't try and sell me a thing or sell me a procedure. I will definitely be back. This will be the thing to bring us back to bend. The hygenist even did measurements of my gums and explained where I was with that. I highly recommend this place for their quality of work, facility (they had technology there that my LA dentist didn't have), and how genuine everyone is there. Its refreshing after LA. I would post a picture of my beauties but that's a little much!
