I was just in a wedding held at this venue. From start to finish it was terrible. We almost changed…read morethe location of the wedding 17 days before the wedding because a lot of things that were promised to us were not done. Such as tending the grounds (all dead, hay from a previous event, gopher holes and poop, etc), the parking had changed to be just outside the ceremony site, there was loose dirt/dust that got all over the guests. We managed to make the place look presentable but it was NO thanks to anyone involved at the venue. They made us keep some ugly decor they had because it would be too expensive to move, there was only lighting in the barn and no one set up tables or chairs (in fact the contract said 200 chairs and 30 tables and they only had 173 chairs and 13 tables, so we had to bring in more), they made us sweep the place before AND after and now because ONE small lantern was misplaced after we cleaned that place way better than we got it, they aren't giving back the deposit. There are MANY many more reasons NOT to have any event here but those are just a few. This was the most stressful wedding I have been a part of and this venue is 85% why.

What I liked most about this company was that Sylvia gave me a quote along with different ideas and packages to choose from. Instead of me having to tell a company exactly what I wanted and how much I wanted to spend, I really liked having different options and packages to choose from. It made the whole process so much easier. We hired Sylvia for our daughter's 18th birthday party for about 25 people, and everything was perfect. They came early in the morning on the day of the event and set everything up, then came back about an hour before the party started with the food. Everything was right on time and looked amazing. The food was delicious as well, and we had plenty of leftovers. Not one complaint about the food, and these were 18-year-old girls, so that says a lot! We also had a photo booth and the telephone where the girls could leave private messages for the birthday girl. That was such a fun and special touch and ended up being one of my favorite things. Aesthetically, everything looked beautiful, and I'll add some pictures so you can see for yourself. Everyone we worked with from Sylvia's company was professional, friendly, and very efficient. At one point, the wind knocked over some of the photo booth decorations, and they came over right away and fixed everything without us even having to worry about it. One other thing I loved about working with Sylvia is that she is a Navy veteran. If supporting a veteran-owned business is important to you, this is a great way to do it while also getting an amazing product and service. I would absolutely recommend Sylvia and Affordable Party Rentals to anyone planning a party or event. They made everything so easy from start to finish, and we will definitely be using them again!

okay i need to talk about Mariposa Content Co because she is SO talented it's actually unreal…read more context: my husband's in the military so we only had ONE weekend to elope at the courthouse in Biloxi. no guests, no time to plan, just us and total chaos trying to make it happen. i was honestly stressed about even fitting a content creator into the mix but I'm SO glad we did because she made it work perfectly. her communication was so easy the entire time, she got what we needed, worked around our tight timeline, and never once made us feel like an inconvenience even though we basically gave her zero notice. she just got it. and the content?? we did SO many tiktoks that day, like an unreasonable amount, and she was down for all of it lol. she has such a good eye, caught all the little real moments (shaky hands, the walk up to the courthouse, us being unable to stop smiling) but also made the fun goofy stuff hit different too. best of both worlds honestly. and she got everything back to us so fast, no waiting around wondering how it turned out. honestly she made our wedding day feel extremely special. with everything being so rushed and last minute, she brought this energy that made it feel like a real, intentional, beautiful day instead of just something we squeezed in. that means everything to us. if you're eloping, doing a small wedding, whatever, and you're worried it's "too small" to hire someone for, don't even think twice. book her. her talent and dedication to actually capturing YOUR day is so rare. we're obsessed Thank you Fabiola!!

I regret hiring Mariposa Content…read more It's been over two weeks and Fabiola hasn't replied to my last email I sent her on July 19th. I was planning to follow up but considering it's been almost 3 months since our event and I've consistently had to follow up to get a response, she's taken up enough of my time for the $200 dollar partial refund she offered. I wasn't planning on leaving a review, but since Fabiola blocked us from being able to view her stories on Instagram while trying to resolve the issues we had professionally, I felt compelled to share my experience. To start on a positive note, our initial phone conversations were pleasant, and on the day of our event she seemed to be attentive. All the issues we had with Fabiola at Mariposa Content Co could have been easily avoided. Unfortunately the issues we had with her came down to delayed responses, poor communication, a poor judgement call, failure to expedite the delivery of our external hard drive, lack of professionalism and poor editing work. Almost three months later and we still haven't been able to resolve and close this project. At this point, I've given her plenty of time to resolve this and not once has she apologized for all the inconveniences nor admitted to any wrongdoing. The contract states that the raw content would be delivered within 24-72 hours and edited videos within 3-4 days. Neither deadline was met. After reviewing the original gallery, I discovered that approximately half of the captured content was missing and had to be provided later after multiple follow-ups. The raw content gallery was the primary reason we hired her, so this was a significant issue. Of the edited videos included in our package, one planned video was never filmed, and another contained obvious editing flaws. The situation became even more frustrating when delivery of the external hard drive was delayed for two weeks over a relatively small shipping fee of $50.75 she wanted upfront, further postponing access to all the footage. Even after receiving the drive, renamed files, duplicate filenames, and missing files made it impossible for me to independently verify that 100% of our content was delivered. I was willing to resolve the matter through a reasonable partial refund, but we were unable to reach an agreement. The core part of her service is to deliver all the raw content captured and she couldn't even to that. One of our main deliverables was supposed to feature photos displayed inside the ring effect. Instead, there's no photo in parts of the video and a noticeable green-screen border was left visible around the edges, making the final video appear unfinished and poorly edited. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Fabiola or Mariposa Content Co.

Amazing experience, beautiful animals, and a wonderful cause…read more We started with a short video explaining the passion and mission behind the sanctuary...followed by a guided tour of each enclosure. They shared info about every animal like their history, previous circumstances, and the care they now receive. After the guided tour, guests are free to explore the grounds and stay as long as they like. Although our tickets were for 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., we were welcome to remain and enjoy the sanctuary for the rest of the day. There is plenty of parking, and all of the animals appeared well cared for, happy, and relaxed. The sanctuary also offers annual memberships, and visitors can apply the cost of their day pass toward a yearly pass for an additional $55. For guests who need assistance getting around, staff provide transportation around the property in a golf cart-style vehicle. You can also host personal and work events, including gender reveals, and even stay overnight in one of the on-property villas, which accommodate up to four guests. Overall, it was a fantastic afternoon supporting a great cause, and I highly recommend a visit.
