The only reason I even picked this other group was because they came recommended. I decided to come onto Yelp and the first thing I see is Mariachi Real de San Diego , and thank goodness I did! I messaged them and right away, I received a quick response! I told them my situation and gave them my number, they called me and boom! In minutes everything was solved! It almost felt too good to be true. They sent me a an invoice and it felt nice talking to Pedro and his wife it put me at ease. Well the next day I confirmed with Pedro via email/text and sent some song request. The time came for everything. I distracted my mom by bringing her in the backyard to hit a piñata while they got ready in the driveway. Then I asked Pedro to let me know when he was in front and I would have her walk over. Well it all worked out!!! It was the best reaction I've ever seen on my mom! I want to thank Pedro and Mariachi Real de San Diego for helping creat this moment with my mother and family. Dennis was the DJ for my August 2018 wedding at the Prado…read more He was absolutely incredible! I had a very short engagement, and he definitely rolled with the punches working with our timeline and song choices. I didn't give him a ton of direction, and he nailed it. Because we had a very intimate family wedding with kiddos, I expected little to no dancing. However, when people started dancing, he played the perfect mix! I also texted him the morning of the wedding requesting a change in the song I was walking down to the aisle to. It was a lot to ask, and he was not only responsive, professional and kind, it was perfect. People get really nervous hiring a DJ/guitarist because you often cannot see them in person, but trust me, Dennis is the real deal. Dennis, thank you for everything you did! It was such a pleasure working with you!

Versatility and talent beyond compare…read more After reading all the glowing reviews of Michael Tiernan's musicianship my wife and I felt honored to be able to make a date with him to provide the music for a party at The Thursday Club in Point Loma. The party was partially a 50th anniversary but mostly a celebration of great friendships of many years. He did an incredible job of playing songs that were the perfect complement to the changing dynamics of the entire evening. Michael is a charming individual and when the mood was right he played songs that engaged the crowd, captured their attention and drew applause. He's a master at reading the room. Toward the end of the evening a contingent got up and started dancing between the tables. Michael was totally in his element. He can create all the high energy party vibe you could want. He has spontaneous looping techniques that make his renditions of songs as full bodied as a band. As part of the planning process we received a list of songs that are in his repertoire. You would not believe the length of the list and the variety of situations and moods he can bring to life. This next part is slightly humorous, but testifies to what a great guy Michael is. Since the majority of the crowd was going to be septuagenarians like ourselves, we were concerned that if the music was too "prominent" the guests might have difficulty hearing each other and conversing. It was with a little trepidation that we brought up this concern with Michael. You don't sign up an artist with all his gifts and then ask him to play quietly. His response was immediate and completely understanding. He totally got it. He assured us he could keep it as mellow as we wanted. And he did it perfectly with no cues from us, especially during the crucial cocktail-hour part of the event which was an important time for people to mingle and visit. He reads the room. If you are planning a special event you hope to bring all the elements together to make it a great experience for all the guests. It's like an art project. Music is an essential part of the experience. Look no further for an amazingly gifted musician who can work with you to craft the occasion to your desires to make it a meaningful and joyful celebration.
