Dennis was the DJ for my August 2018 wedding at the Prado. He was absolutely incredible! I had a very short engagement, and he definitely rolled with the punches working with our timeline and song choices. I didn't give him a ton of direction, and he nailed it. Because we had a very intimate family wedding with kiddos, I expected little to no dancing. However, when people started dancing, he played the perfect mix! I also texted him the morning of the wedding requesting a change in the song I was walking down to the aisle to. It was a lot to ask, and he was not only responsive, professional and kind, it was perfect. People get really nervous hiring a DJ/guitarist because you often cannot see them in person, but trust me, Dennis is the real deal. Dennis, thank you for everything you did! It was such a pleasure working with you! read more

Dennis is the best!!! We hired Dennis to DJ our wedding. He also played guitar during the ceremony. It was perfect! He was so professional and handled every detail of our day with the skill and finesse that only come with years of experience. He was fun and respectful and flexible and he knew just what to do to keep everything going just right. It was the perfect day and I don't know what we would have done without him! read more

We used Dennis for our wedding and everyone had a fabulous time. We met with Dennis in the planning stages to discuss ideas and songs. He has great ideas and is very experienced, so Dennis knew what music to play and when. We also used his talent of playing the live guitar as guests arrived and during the ceremony (which was wonderful). Dennis helped the night flow smoothly. He has a user friendly website that allows you to pick songs for your play list and do not play list. We were VERY happy with his service. read more

Dennis is an amazing guitarist and DJ. He provided both of these services at my August 2012 wedding. Music was one of my top concerns for the event and I was extremely happy with the services Dennis provided. From my walk down the aisle at Rancho Bernardo Inn, playing his original Spanish music to coordinating the ambiance and flow of my reception, Dennis delivered in more ways than I ever could have imagined. Weddings are set on a schedule, but as we all know it is hard to keep on that tight timeline. Dennis played the guitar for an unanticipated extra amount of time while guests arrived at the ceremony, in the steaming hot sun, without complaint. Looking back at my wedding video, I can't imagine the big day without his music...it fit the mood perfectly. Then, when it was time to go to our reception at another location, we were running late again. Dennis took control at the venue and made sure that cocktail hour was running smoothly and our wedding party was ready to do speeches when we arrived. When our limo pulled up, Dennis was there to tell us what to do and before we knew it our entrance song was playing and we calmly walked in. He was so good at letting people know what to do, where to go, etc during the course of the night. The buffet line was never backed up, the first dance, father-daughter, & mother-son dances, and cake cutting all fit into the mix seamlessly. As the sun set, the night turned into the best dance party of my life. I heard all the songs I requested on Dennis' easy to manage website and they played at the best times. When it was time for us to hop back in our limo and have a send off from our guests, Dennis was the one asking everyone to line up outside (not loud on a microphone, he went up to people group by group) and finally my groom and I were sent out the door to a cheering crowd of our family and friends. Dennis is so confident when you meet with him prior to the big day, he puts you at ease. He has a ton of experience - been there, seen it all. He was tailor your day to what you want and support you as much as you need. A quick question via email was always responded to within a day and he never made me feel like a burden or a needy bride. Without Dennis, I don't think my day would have been as special as it turned out. I recommend him with all of my heart! read more

We met Dennis shortly after our engagement a year ago. He was consistently reliable, professional and genuine. On our wedding day on 11/13/10 he was awesome...from his classical guitar playing to his excellent DJ skills, he exceeded our expectations. He helped make our ceremony special and our reception tons of fun. Our guests were very impressed and had nothing but wonderful things to say about him. We would recommend him highly! read more

We hired Dennis for our wedding and overall we were really happy with the results. We met with him twice before the wedding and kept in email contact up to the wedding. He was really easy to communicate with and help us put together a timeline for the event. He played spanish guitar while our guests arrived at the ceremony and classical guitar during the ceremony itself. At the last minute (like 2 days before!) we decided to have a bagpiper do our recessional, and he was totally cool with it. The guitar music was beautiful! He was also the DJ/MC during the reception and did a wonderful job. I have gotten so many complements on the music from all sorts of guests. We were really crazy about the music and gave him lists to play from and not play from and he stuck to them really well. You won't go wrong with Dennis at your wedding-we couldn't have asked for a better dj! read more

We used Dennis for our wedding at the El Cortez and he was an absolute bright spot in the sea of vendors we had to work with. We was always very nice, responsive, and ready to help in any way he could. Dennis played Spanish guitar before the ceremony and during cocktail hour and then DJ'ed the rest of the time. We were VERY HAPPY with our experience with him and would absolutely recommend him to others. read more

Dennis is awesome!! We had such a great time at our November wedding, and our guests boogied all night! He is incredibly attentive to your needs and desires. He went out of his way to meet w/me twice to make sure things were just right, and was so helpful in selecting music. He is very laid back and easy to work with, yet totally professional and on top of it. He played Spanish guitar for our processionals, which was so beautiful and unique. He also MC'd our reception, and was not obnoxious and really understood the mood we were trying to set. To top it off he set our officiant up w/a wireless mic and provided a laptop and projector for our slideshow- all at no extra charge!! Dennis is a steal and we were so happy to have found him! Thank you for making our day so wonderful! read more

As a wedding coordinator, I have had the opportunity to work with Dennis on multiple occasions and he exceeds expectations each time. He is responsive and flexible during the planning process and is always professional and upbeat on wedding days. He is happy to take requests and accommodate the needs of the bride and groom throughout the wedding. He is a very talented guitar player and such a fun DJ! I have recommended him to many of my clients already and am looking forward to working with him on more events in the future. read more

Dennis was a wonderful DJ and plays Spanish guitar beautifully. I am so glad I hired him to play at my wedding!

Dennis was our DJ at our wedding last weekend. He did an amazing job and was so great to work with throughout the planning process. He customized everything so our big day turned out to be everything we hoped and more. We (and our guests) loved how he played acoustic guitar during the processional at the ceremony, and he even played specific songs that we requested so it felt very personal. He played a great mix of music at the reception and had people on the dance floor all night. Would recommend him to anyone! read more

Dennis helped make our wedding day absolutely incredible!!! He assisted in making sure everything stayed on a proper time line so we could just enjoy our reception. He knew to incorporate all the different kinds of music we like to keep everyone on the dance floor and engaged, but at the same time knew when to tone the music down so our guests could enjoy conversation and their dinner. I would highly recommend Dennis to anyone and everyone. Also, he plays acoustic guitar while your guests arrive and are seated, and during the procession... .all for an INCREDIBLY fair price. Thank you Dennis!!! read more

Dennis did such an amazing job at my wedding. To me, music is one of the most important aspects of the wedding and it can make or break the event, so I was very careful about selecting a DJ. Well, I could not have been happier. Throughout the planning process he met with me whenever I needed to plan for the big day. He even drove out to my wedding site on one of the meetings to get a feel for the set up. The day of the wedding he arrived super early to set up all his equipment to make sure it was ready to go. He also learned a song on the guitar that I wanted to walk down the aisle too. His guitar skills are exceptional. Also, the dance floor was packed the entire night. I got a lot of compliments from wedding guests on how good the music was. He really knows how to read the crowd. If you hire Dennis, you will not regret it!!!! read more

My wife and I used Dennis for our wedding in June 2014. Dennis played the Spanish guitar at the ceremony and during the cocktail hour. We received multiple complements from our guest that the guitar was beautiful. Dennis also DJ'ed our reception and did a wonderful job. He made sure the guest knew what was going on at all times and kept the party going as the night went on. Dennis and his website were also helpful in the planning process. We talked to him on the phone multiple times to make sure everything would happen smoothly. His website has a feature that allows his clients to pick music that they want to hear at the wedding. We found this to be very helpful in the planning process. I would recommend Dennis to anyone that is planning a wedding. Thank you Dennis! read more

We got married in Sep'13 at the El Cortez and had the pleasure of working with B'Entertained. From our first meeting we were impressed with Dennis. His easy online planning forms for selecting music and other requests made it so easy. The spanish guitar during our ceremony was so beautiful, got lots of compliments. He ran the show and kept things moving the whole night. Could not have been happier. read more

Dennis Bergstrom was our DJ / MC at our wedding and I simply don't think we could have asked for a better DJ. He helped us prior to the wedding with our timeline, and he also knew our venue really well (powerhouse, del mar) so even helped with layout suggestions etc. Dennis plays classical guitar so perfromed whilst our guests were arriving and also ceremony music. We met with Dennis prior to the wedding and gave him an idea of the music we would like. Closer to the time we gave him some specific songs we wanted / did not want and he respected our wishes, whilst producing a perfect mix throughout the reception. He even helped clear up a broken glass candle holder prior to the ceremony! I would highly recommend Dennis for any event. He is extremely professional, polite, conscientious and talented. read more

I hired Dennis for my wedding and overall I was disappointed. He was hired to do live guitar for my cocktail hour as well as DJ my ceremony & reception. Although I was very impressed with him before the wedding, I was upset with several things that happened during the event. The guitar playing during the cocktail hour was great & I would recommend him for that. However, he neglected to do several things I requested of him while he was DJing. For example, I asked him to play one song in it's entirety during the ceremony and he cut it off before it had ended. I also asked him to take any requests my guests had and he ended up refusing to play a song my 7 year old nephew requested (it was a normal song- Justin Timberlake or something) because it "didn't fit" with the set he was playing. By the way- no one was dancing and he could have played anything at that point. No one really enjoyed his music selection throughout the evening and it was like pulling teeth to get him to play a song I wanted. If you do hire him I would suggest planning a set list with all the songs you want played and be very clear with what you do or do not want him to do. I thought I was clear enough but I guess not. As the bride, your day is special and important and it sucks to be disappointed or notice things that deviate from the plan you discussed. Overall, he just wasn't as professional or as good during my event as I expected from our meetings beforehand. read more

Dennis recently DJ'd our November wedding and we were so pleased with his services. We could not have asked for a better DJ. He was so attentive throughout the entire process prior to the actual wedding, continuing through the entire day. He went above and beyond, helping guests with things, seating people, etc... I do not know what we would have done without him. My sister will also be using him at her wedding in April...and I am so looking forward to dancing again! read more

Perfect choice for our wedding... when I first started looking around for a DJ for our wedding I knew I wanted a acoustic guitarist too. Dennis was referred to me by three people within a day and a half (two other DJ's and a past client of his) so I knew I had to have the right guy. At our first meeting where he serenaded my furture husband and I that was confirmed and we wrote the deposit check on site. Dennis is a true professional, he was key to our wedding timeline and flow of the actual day. He was easy to reach and really great to work with. His website is awesome, we got to pick all our favorite dance tunes and we danced the night away! The dance floor was packed the entire night and we were still dancing as they started to break down the tables around us. Our wedding was elegant with the guitar playing and super fun at the same time. I couldn't have asked for a better day. I would DEFINITELY refer Dennis, he was AWESOME! Thanks Dennis! We recently hired Dennis to play live music and DJ our wedding on August 9, '14. We were SO pleased with Dennis' professionalism and expertise. He clearly knows what sounds romantic and sweet during the ceremony, and how to keep people on the dance floor during the reception. Honestly, it was such a seamless event, I was enjoying the music without even having to think about what was being played. In fact, my husband and I trusted Dennis to play his recommendations during the ceremony, and to mix the music during the reception how he wanted. And everyone loved him! I would highly recommend Dennis for any occasion, but especially for a wedding. If you are not great at picking music like me, you will really appreciate his ability to do his thing!! read more

We can't say enough about Dennis. We hired him for our July 8 wedding at SDRC, and he was the glue that held the party together. He played guitar music during the ceremony and dinner hour and then took over DJing for the dancing. He was very organized, knew the timeline and schedule of events, and did a great job of moving things along. He was happy to attend a vendors meeting before the event to coordinate final details, and we felt very confident that he wouldn't miss a beat. We would highly recommend Dennis to anyone; not only is he talented and professional, but he was also friendly and FUN! Thank you so much Dennis! read more

Zosha and I wanted to thank you for the amazing job you did at our wedding! The day was absolutely wonderful, in part because of you! We were VERY pleased with how everything went. The dancing was tons of fun! We thought you did a great job selecting songs and gauging the vibe of the crowd. The flow felt very natural, with people dancing, and then moving away from the dance floor for a little while, and then coming back to it. I don't know how you did it, but it was exactly what we wanted, and you nailed it, so thank you! It was great that you were also able to make it work with the last minute three person song during the ceremony. Thank you for your flexibility and ability to make it work. In addition to your song selection and equipment set up, we also appreciated the vibe you set in your announcements. Just like you said you would, you were present, but it never felt like you were announcing too much. I also really appreciated how laid back and calm you were the whole time, but you were also very on top of things. It was the exact balance that we wanted. You were fun, but also the consummate professional. Thank you again SO MUCH for helping make our wedding day so much fun. read more
