Despite having some dance experience, he seems to let his ego overshadow any semblance of professionalism or respect for his students. From the moment the class started, it was clear that he was more interested in showcasing his own skills than actually teaching. His condescending attitude made it impossible to enjoy the class or learn anything new. Instead of providing constructive feedback, It's evident that he uses his supposed dance experience as an excuse to inflate his ego, making the entire class about himself rather than focusing on the students' improvement. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional but also discouraging for anyone trying to learn or improve their dancing skills. I would strongly advise anyone looking for a positive and supportive dance environment to steer clear of this place. The only positive experience was meeting nice people (other students).

Throat problems, neck issues, sinus infections... what a wreck! I did a lot of "The Google" and found Kimberly's unique credentials that though "all is not lost!" I left my first lesson frustrated and still fearful. This had nothing to do with Kimberley who was kind and patient, I just had my own brain compartments working to sabotage me. I noodled (thought) a lot and realized I needed to get over myself and those fears and went for my 2nd lesson At that lesson, I told Kimberely how I felt about the first lesson. She carefully listened, was thoughtful and we worked out a game plan. I left that lesson with confidence that I could get back to where I had been, and significantly improve as I never had "real" voice lessons beyond a college class. Kimberly teaches that it's not just about the voice but the mind/body connection (OMG I just went all metaphysical)I am excited to continue this trek, and if (IF) I ever get married again, I might just darn well sing at it.

I wholeheartedly recommend Terry's classes. I have been taking classes since I was 8 years old…read more Terry has such a great eye for technique and the craft. She has this rare ability to pick out monologues and scenes for each student that perfectly match -- I really don't know how she does it, because I have such difficulty choosing things for myself. She is nurturing and I have never felt like her class was cuthroat or that she was overly aggressive, like some other teaching styles. She wants you to succeed. She is kind, empathetic and passionate about her students. You can tell she puts 100% of herself into her teaching and her work. She is trustworthy and honest. Do the class, you won't regret it.

Have you ever seen the movie "Take the Lead"? It's one of those cliched, cheesy inspirational…read moremovies you watch when you're home alone and depressed and eating ice cream, etc. It's really not a very good movie, but one particular scene has always struck a chord with me. It's a scene in which Antonio Banderas convinces a group of parents on the PTA to turn detention into ballroom dance lessons at an impoverished New York City high school: "Yes, we teach your kids dance, and with it a set of rules about respect, team work, and dignity. If your son can learn to touch a girl with respect, how do you think he will treat women throughout his life?" It's this type of abstraction that encapsulates the three major facets of music that Brendan has ingrained in me: professionalism, integrity, and discipline. Not only was he intently concerned with how good I sounded, he invested just as much time into my personal/professional development. Likewise, my two years studying under him showed me that the way you approach the piano closely resembles the way you approach life (something I found particularly perturbing as I was probably one of the worst students any teacher could ever want). But unlike all of my previous teachers, Brendan took the time to specifically tailor his teaching style to my personality. He's the first teacher who helped me truly understand the piano on a deeper introspective level. I firmly believe that the 3 years I spent getting that undergraduate degree in music would be completely and utterly useless if I didn't have the pleasure of studying under him. Brendan is the most effective piano teacher you will ever find; no one else parallels.

The Heroes are the definition of pro musicianship. I handle all the band booking and entertainment…read moreat Valley View Casino & Hotel and the Heroes have been in my monthly rotation since day 1. They get a dance floor going every time and have attracted a loyal following. Their song list is huge and can play tunes ranging from the Beatles to Journey to Justin Timberlake. I book them as a 7 piece band and ALL 7 of them sing! That's a rarity with cover bands nowadays. No gimmicky one trick pony in this band. Tom Boyd, the band leader, is great with communication. I also own a professional DJ biz and have had the pleasure of working with The Heroes at a wedding. I immediately could tell they've done hundreds of weddings before. They keep the night flowing and on schedule. They bring a lot of energy to the grand entrances. All their announcements sounded professional, lively and anything but monotonous. If you're looking for a high energy dance band to rock your wedding or party I highly recommend booking The Heroes. They are worth it!

They absolutely MADE our wedding reception. If you like longer reviews: THESE GUYS ARE AWESOME!!! We were looking for a wedding band and found The Heroes on the internet. We were impressed by the accolades and their song list so we went to see them at Valley View Casino. They were incredible. You simply cannot do better than The Heroes for a wedding band. From start to finish Tom Boyd (leader, drummer, all-around awesome human being) helped us ensure our wedding was the best experience for us and our guests. Before the wedding he met with us several times. He helped us with our timeline, song recommendations and anything else we needed. We waited until a couple of days before the wedding to choose our first dance song. Although they didn't know it, Tom and the band learned it in 1 day and played it flawlessly at our wedding. My wife was so happy! During the wedding THEY ROCKED IT! They "pied pipered" guests from the cocktail hour into the reception room and we were receiving complements about them before they even went on stage. Once they were on stage... WOAH. They played a "Horah" for the ages! Anytime they were playing people were up dancing. During and after the wedding people kept coming up to us and saying how amazing they were. Everyone wanted to know how we found them and the story behind why we picked them (the short version: Art does an amazing "Baby Got Back"). I have to go now and want to make sure this gets saved before I leave. You will NOT regret choosing the Heroes. They are unbelievably good and are a guaranteed good time.
