    HORRIBLE COMPANY!! BENJAMIN WAS A NIGHTMARE TO WORK WITH!! Would never ever deal with them again. I am a young parent with a four year old daughter and we needed to move quickly. When I found a house through this property management, they told me whoever "won the race" of completing the application and getting accepted "won". I loved the place and I did the application the same day as soon as I left the property. Almost a week later I was told that I was approved. They said as soon as I make the deposit, it's mine. I immediately went on and made the payment($1700!). Not even 10 minutes later, BENJAMIN texted back and said sorry you actually don't qualify and we are going to refund you and cancel your move in! This was due to an issue with my credit. Which- THEY DID NOT VERIFY! They had me send a screenshot of my credit- my name and none of my info on the screenshot, which was completely unprofessional and in appropriate! So honestly, I could have sent a screenshot of anyone's good credit and they would've just taken it! The office manager DONNA told me since I am a student, I was allowed to have a co-signer. She told me they have to treat everyone fairly. After trying to get ahold of BENJAMIN for a whole day, he just kept telling me no. No i couldn't have a co-signer and no I was not getting this house. DONNA told me she would have my money overnight shipped back to me, but now I am being told they can't do that and it has to go through certified mail, taking even longer. So no, I was not treated fairly by this company, and now I am stuck waiting up to 3 days for my deposit back! All because they made a huge mistake. BENJAMIN WAS RESPONDING TO MY TEXT MESSAGES BUT WOULD NEVER ONCE PICK UP MY PHONE CALLS. DO BETTER AT YOUR JOB!!

    We have only been residents since the end of July and on 10/08/2024 we finally received a refrigerator. The one that was in our unit had a bad odor and was filthy and we couldn't use it. The stove had to be moved to get out the previous tenants' dirt, old food, and bad odor. Now the stove sits unevenly because their maintenance man put it back wrong. Desantis claims to care about their tenants but has treated our family unfairly. We have the move-in report, photos, and videos as proof. We have invited Mr. Christopher DeSantis to visit to see and smell for himself and he has repeatedly declined. How would anyone feel about an apartment that was supposed to be $1095 and now $1145 a month and have problems? Now we have been hit with over $200 in water fees and a charge of $154 for one month of sewer fees. Everyone who lives in our building has their water and sewer bills put in their names but not my family. The water company's supervisor said that the sewer bill was higher than it should be and that he would need access to all of the units to see where the problem was. DeSantis agreed to replace the refrigerator and fix the stove if I took down this review. DeSantis told us that the owners already paid our sewer bill and that we needed to pay them back ASAP. We need to know why the bills are high and why they aren't in our names if we are paying the high bills. BTW, The water bill is due on Oct.28, 2024, but they want it paid now. After living in the house for nearly a year, I can attest to the very high level of quality and craftsmanship that he put into this home. The home inspector even commented to me prior to purchasing that he's seen a lot of renovated homes, and this one was clearly done right. He used high end finishes like Brazilian Cherry floors, granite kitchen counters, and marble in the master bathroom. He also took the time to have the brick cleaned on the outside of the house, exposed and restored original woodwork, vaulted the 3rd floor to create even more livable space. Everywhere you look, you can see that time and thought was put into the final product. It's been so nice having friends and family comment on the beauty and quality of the renovation too! Aside from the quality craftsmanship, Pittsburgh Property Guy himself provided top notch customer service to me when I had questions or minor issues that I encountered. He worked with me directly via phone and email, and was always very quick to respond. It was clear that my happiness as his customer was important to him, and that's not something that should be overlooked! If you're thinking about buying one of his properties, you're in safe hands.

    I waited to publicize this review, but I can't wait any longer…read more I have been in one of their properties for the last 6 weeks now and I am disappointed in the team. When we moved in, the unit was left unlocked and anyone off the street could enter the home. That was the first red flag. As we moved our stuff into the home, the AC was completely unusable and the temperature inside exceeded 85°. Now they did address this and fix this quickly, but we still moved into a home that was not ready. For the first 2 weeks living here, we had to deal with leftover trash and debris that was never cleaned up entirely, I had to fight the maintenance team to send someone out to collect full trash can, full bags of trash, and assorted contractor material. There is still trash and debris on the property that was never picked up, even after someone came out. After our gas was set up, we discovered that the washing machine and dryer were both broken and unable to be used. It took weeks for a new unit to be delivered and there was little to no communication from the property management team. Within that time, the basement flooded and we had to move our stuff we had stored down there. This issue was addressed within a 2 day period. Now we are dealing with a broken oven that I communicated 3+ weeks ago was broken and could not be used. I have not gotten any updates from the management team, even after having a tech come over and work on the unit. It has now been over a week since that visit and I don't know if they are repairing or replacing my unit. I have sent multiple messages asking for an update, and only the appliance company has provided any update. From Day 1 this property was not move in ready, even though it had been vacant for months leading up to us moving in. I would strongly recommend if you are looking to rent from RPM, please find a unit that is already in working order and tread carefully. I feel like when a property is being listed for rentals, it should be move in ready and not be a dumpster fire for the new tenants to put out. RPM did not do their diligence when listing this property and dumped all the broken appliances and issues onto my wife and I. To RPM, please do better with your management of these properties. Yes the home is old and is going to have quirks to it, but I shouldn't have to beg and plead with your team to get work done and completed. Things can and will break, that's just the nature of property management, but when everything I have listed is broken at Day 1, that is disappointing and doesn't paint you or your company in good light.

They ignored gas that leaked into our entire building because it was a weekend and said they would have somebody out in a few days. They are lazy and not respectful of the fact that they are managing people's homes. I got called a liar by the owner when I said that his agent did not call me back despite a dozen phone calls. CMA finally sent some of the "workers" out to do the job. It is of no shock that it looks likes like a high school kid did the job. That's a given with this group. The mess they left behind is horrid. All of the mortar the chiseled and drilled out was left just lying on the ground. There is dried mortar all over everything. We have been dragging this mess into our homes and vehicles all week. There have been at least 5 outreaches to CMA via their owner portal with detailed photos of the mess that was left; however, no one has responded to any of them. Anyone who hires this bunch of, let's just call them what they are, thieves after reading these reviews deserves what they get. I've attached photos to show the disaster they left at the porch entrances to our building. It's so embarrassing.
