I scheduled a followup appointment but I canceled because cleanliness is important to me, especially in a doctor's office.

I started going to Epiphany Dermatology in DeSoto, TX in September 2025 for acne treatment, and in…read morethe beginning, my experience was positive. The staff seemed organized, and both the doctors and nurses were professional and kind. Unfortunately, that has completely changed. Recently, I had a very upsetting experience involving miscommunication and unprofessional behavior from the office. In January, I had an appointment to restart my Accutane treatment after rescheduling a previous visit. I was told I would receive my prescription at my next appointment. At my February appointment, the nurse clearly instructed me to pick up my medication at Walgreens. However, when I went to the pharmacy later that day, I was told that no prescription had been sent in. The following day, my mother contacted the office and spent a long time trying to get clarification, only to be told I needed to complete iPledge requirements -- which I had already done. When I personally called the office afterward, I was told that I did not need any medication until my next appointment the following month. Confused but trusting their guidance, I followed what I was told and went an entire month without treatment. At my next appointment on March 25th, I explained the situation. Instead of receiving help or clarification, Mr. Johnson Mwangi entered the room and began raising his voice at me over what he claimed was my mistake. He insisted I had been told to use a different pharmacy, which was never communicated to me, and blamed me for "wasting time." I tried to explain what I had been told by the staff, but he continued speaking over me in a confrontational tone. The interaction became so uncomfortable that I was brought to tears. I am a 17-year-old patient, and being spoken to this way by a medical professional--especially over what appears to be internal miscommunication--is completely unacceptable. This experience was disappointing and unprofessional. Patients should not be blamed or spoken down to for errors that originate within the office. I hope this location improves its communication and treats future patients with more respect.Especially their younger patients.

She looked. She diagnosed. She recommended treatment. She is gone @ 11:16 am. Maybe she is that good (3 minutes) Nurse Practitioner scheduled follow up appointment about 2 weeks out. I'm out of room @11:19. Picking up ointment at front desk @ 11:20 $28 Cicalfate now out of the office @ 11:21. Downstairs pharmacy @ 11:22 - 11:26. Prescription filled Xolegel covered through insurance @ no charge. In my car @ 11:27... We shall see! Update 1/18/17: after 8 uses (Friday night Saturday morning/night Sunday morning/late afternoon Monday morning/night [noticed spreading that evening] Tuesday morning - over a five day period) of Cicalfate the condition worsened. Contacted the office about refund and got an unexpected response... If Dr. Moore recommended it you shouldn't have caused a reaction - but I did. Rescheduled appointment for tomorrow morning to examine the condition and then they will discuss further treatment and/or refund. Update 1/19/17: appointment @ 8 am in signed in @ 7:50 in the back room @ 8 am Dr. Moore in @ 8:06 - 8:13... She indicated more steps to treat condition. There will not be a copay today since I was just in... The reaction to the Cicalfate could be to the higher level of inflammation. So, now she prescribed Elidel that should knock out the inflammation and then the Cicalfate should bring back the color. Moved original appointment from January 25 to January 30 to see if it corrects the reaction/condition. Informed to call back just as I did if it causes a reaction. Out of the office @8:16 in pharmacy @8:20 - 8:31 am for Elidel for $25. Alright...!

i got my mole removed like a month ago i think?¿ i dunno, sometime in october 2020. idk why there's…read moreso many bad reviews, the procedure and wait time in the lobby wasn't bad at all. I waited only like 2min and then got called to the back to get my mole removed. First, they cleaned the area, numbed me (it was tolerable, the needles just felt like little pinches) & then they cut the mole out n stitched me up :)) My skin is healing up really nice. However, i accidentally hit the scar really hard and it bruised up again, but iced it and put cicalfate (skin repair cream) on it every night and it's fine again lol that was my fault oopsies i'm clumsy. But yea, i'm happy with the results, they did accept my insurance, but we still had to pay, but i didn't mind bc i wanted my mole gone lol.
