I sat for a bit, then another assistant came in & said she was just "the messenger" & that I could go. I get a call after 5 that day & said I would need to go back in the next day, because they forgot to get me to sign during my insurane paperwork. I went in the next day, & I told Jocelyn I was there to sign insurance paper. I then told her my Rx I asked to be refilled the day of my appointment was not filled. I wrote my name, Rx, & pharmacy on a slip of paper & tried to hand it to Jocelyn, but she said, "I'll tell her nurse." Did she? NO! She seemed to be uninterested in helping me.

During our consultation, the doctor referred to the product as Dysport. We questioned him....told him his advertising and our appt was for Botox. They don't even have Botox!! And they tried to tell us it was the exact same thing, when we having been getting Botox for years and know its not exactly the same. He is meticulous, thorough, professional, personable, friendly and answers your questions openly and completely...no matter how many you ask him; however, I did lose faith in his office staff until he hired Amy. I experienced issues with incorrect information being called into my insurance company, being given wrong dates and times of appointments, orders not being sent over for presurgry, prescriptions not being called in correctly or the right amount of refills, being given incorrect information for after surgery and wound care and orders not being sent over for follow up tests. Too many mistakes continuously to be simple human error. I voiced my concerns to his staff. I didn't change doctors because Dr Hopkins is a great doctor and those are issues/responsibilities of his office staff. After he hired Amy during my second visit with her, she sensed my unease and cared enough to ask and listen to my concerns. She made sure none of these issues happened again. Amy has seen me through the worst of health issues by being personable, compassionate, consistent and above all professional. Amy and Dr Hopkins both took the time to actually get to know me genuinely. Amy and Dr Hopkins have created an atmosphere of trust with the most important aspect of my visits...my overall health and wellbeing. I actually still make sure Amy will be there whenever I have an appointment scheduled because I trust her and her skills. Dr Hopkins and Amy work so well together it's a seamless transition from being seen by him to being seen by her during a visit. I would recommend Dr Hopkins to my friends and family because of his skills as a surgeon/doctor and because of Amy and her skills as a nurse.

After filling out some paperwork in the lobby (which smelled great btw) I was off to a private room for my massage. My masseuse was so nice and adjusted her pressure as needed. After my massage, I floated back out to the lobby and got to take a tour of the rest of the spa. There's a great private area for parties and a whirlpool/ hot tub thingy in the back for more lounging and relaxation. I DEFINITELY plan on returning for another massage and a girls spa day soon!

CareNow should be called We Don't Care, Now or Ever! Truly the worst experience ever. I drove to…read moreDallas for my annual physical with my primary care physician. When he took my blood pressure, it was quite elevated: 175/75. My doctor said I should go to urgent care for medication to lower the BP. Unfortunately for me, the nearest place was CareNow on Midway Road. I walked in at 4:30 and explained I needed medication for high blood pressure. The receptionist had her nose in a book and seemed very inconvenienced to have to check in a patient. She was extremely rude and barely spoke two words to me. When I got to an exam room, the aid took my blood pressure. It was 189/99- a very serious hypertensive emergency! But the aid was not alarmed. He informed me that they did not have any medication for lowering BP. (Although he was quite ready to administer a shot for pain. This seems to be their "catch all" treatment for people who walk in. I told him "no thanks." He did offer to call in a prescription for me. He also said that I couldn't leave until I saw the Doctor. I sat in the exam room for nearly an hour. ( I had been fasting ahead of my physical for a full blood panel with my primary doctor.) It's nearly 6pm by now and I have not eaten in over 24 hours. So, I stepped out of the exam room to see if I could leave since I needed food and there was nothing they could do for me anyway. I saw the aid just sitting at his station. Beyond him, I saw the doctor just sitting at her desk. GRRR! With a BP of 189/99, she should have been in to see me immediately to tell me I needed to get to the ER. So, I left to get food and realized I was not informed as to which pharmacy they called for my prescription. I tried calling them several times and each time my call was disconnected. So, I went back there. New receptionist this time, but even more rude than the last one. She looked me up on the computer and snapped at me, "You walked out! So, we didn't call it in." I couldn't believe it. At that point, I searched for the nearest ER and went to Advance ER on Inwood Drive. They were amazing! They took excellent care of me. I got the medication I desperately needed and they kept me there to monitor me until I was out of the danger zone. I am shocked and very angry at the lack of care at CareNow. They should be sued for criminal negligence and the entire staff should be fired. I could have died and nobody there cared.
