I started going to Epiphany Dermatology in DeSoto, TX in September 2025 for acne treatment, and in…read morethe beginning, my experience was positive. The staff seemed organized, and both the doctors and nurses were professional and kind. Unfortunately, that has completely changed. Recently, I had a very upsetting experience involving miscommunication and unprofessional behavior from the office. In January, I had an appointment to restart my Accutane treatment after rescheduling a previous visit. I was told I would receive my prescription at my next appointment. At my February appointment, the nurse clearly instructed me to pick up my medication at Walgreens. However, when I went to the pharmacy later that day, I was told that no prescription had been sent in. The following day, my mother contacted the office and spent a long time trying to get clarification, only to be told I needed to complete iPledge requirements -- which I had already done. When I personally called the office afterward, I was told that I did not need any medication until my next appointment the following month. Confused but trusting their guidance, I followed what I was told and went an entire month without treatment. At my next appointment on March 25th, I explained the situation. Instead of receiving help or clarification, Mr. Johnson Mwangi entered the room and began raising his voice at me over what he claimed was my mistake. He insisted I had been told to use a different pharmacy, which was never communicated to me, and blamed me for "wasting time." I tried to explain what I had been told by the staff, but he continued speaking over me in a confrontational tone. The interaction became so uncomfortable that I was brought to tears. I am a 17-year-old patient, and being spoken to this way by a medical professional--especially over what appears to be internal miscommunication--is completely unacceptable. This experience was disappointing and unprofessional. Patients should not be blamed or spoken down to for errors that originate within the office. I hope this location improves its communication and treats future patients with more respect.Especially their younger patients.

Dr. Way was clearly disoriented and proceeded to ask me the same 3 questions repeatedly throughout my visit even though I would answer them the same way each time. After explaining my symptoms, he asked me what my symptoms were less than 2 minutes later and then continued to ask me at least 5 more times. This repetition did not occur just one time. Based on my encounter, I do not think Dr. Way is fit to be practicing dermatology. At one point I turned around to my nurse for some explanation, but she was on her phone scrolling through Facebook. It took everything in me not to walk out of the appointment due to complete frustration. I was told to make another follow up appointment with Dr. Way 10 days after my initial appointment, however I promptly cancelled that. I would not recommend this institute to anyone.

He is meticulous, thorough, professional, personable, friendly and answers your questions openly and completely...no matter how many you ask him; however, I did lose faith in his office staff until he hired Amy. I experienced issues with incorrect information being called into my insurance company, being given wrong dates and times of appointments, orders not being sent over for presurgry, prescriptions not being called in correctly or the right amount of refills, being given incorrect information for after surgery and wound care and orders not being sent over for follow up tests. Too many mistakes continuously to be simple human error. I voiced my concerns to his staff. I didn't change doctors because Dr Hopkins is a great doctor and those are issues/responsibilities of his office staff. After he hired Amy during my second visit with her, she sensed my unease and cared enough to ask and listen to my concerns. She made sure none of these issues happened again. Amy has seen me through the worst of health issues by being personable, compassionate, consistent and above all professional. Amy and Dr Hopkins both took the time to actually get to know me genuinely. Amy and Dr Hopkins have created an atmosphere of trust with the most important aspect of my visits...my overall health and wellbeing. I actually still make sure Amy will be there whenever I have an appointment scheduled because I trust her and her skills. Dr Hopkins and Amy work so well together it's a seamless transition from being seen by him to being seen by her during a visit. I would recommend Dr Hopkins to my friends and family because of his skills as a surgeon/doctor and because of Amy and her skills as a nurse.

The last few months I have been going to Coco for my pedicures and what a joy she is! Very easy to talk to and such a kind soul. After being directed to the changing room, I was seated in another area to wait for my massage therapist. By the time she came and got me, it was 5 minutes after my scheduled time. After arrival into the room, she seated me on the table and washed my feet in what I assume was supposed to be a foot massage, but it was really just putting my feet in water and drying them off. Then she stepped out for me to remove my robe and get under the sheet on the table. When I took my watch off before getting on the table, it was 9:12. When she came back in, she proceeded to keep my full body covered with the sheet and placed a warm towel on my back over the sheet. She then proceeded to line 3 rocks on my back and wrap them with the warm towel while she began on my legs and feet. On every area, she made one pass with the rocks before discarding for hands. And it really just felt as if she was rubbing the rocks on my body rather than massaging. The entire time, I felt as if she was rushing through each section of my body, spending no more than a minute or two. Going back and forth to the counter to get new oils or switch rocks probably totally 1/2 the actual time of the massage. At the end of the massage, she spent probably 3-4 minutes washing her arms and hands before telling me that was it and she was going to step out for me to get my robe back on. I laid there for a minute being super disappointed and feeling like it couldn't have been 50 minutes. After I got up and put my robe on, I grabbed by watch and it was 9:52. I think I would be very safe to say my total massage might have been 35 minutes. The problem areas that I was asked about received no attention, nor did any area really. For $115, I really expect hands on me for 50 minutes. If that means no foot washing "massage," then I don't want it. Every massage I've ever had has been a stone massage and this was the worst experience at one of the priciest places.

I was notably impressed with the fact that Dr. Mikki is a board-certified working ER physician. She has 12 years of practice in the ER under her belt and is both highly knowledgeable and informed on the best procedures suited for for each individual patient, and to be executed in the safest manner possible. In her consultation, she takes the time to go over each step she will be taking to ensure you have both a safe and natural outcome when performing your procedure. Her consultation is both educational and compassionate, as she also considers your personal goals, adjusting your needs to what you are able to afford and recieve beautiful results. I am in my mid 60's and was experiencing a lower jowl "sinking" in my jaw area, with my lips almost non-existent. I used makeup and lip liner to basically "draw my lips on" each and every day. I was extremely hesitant about looking into having work done on my lower face, and especially lip area, fearing the dreaded "duck lips". I expressed this concern to Dr. Mikki and she assured me the procedure would be very subtle and evenly proportioned. I could not be happier with my results! My jaw area appears much smoother and all wrinkles that were above and around my mouth have been smoothed out to a very natural look. My lips have "bloomed" into a normal curvature and do not at all appear "done". I could not recommend a better doctor for aesthetics in the DFW Metroplex to perform your procedure. You will be pleasantly surprised and extremely gratified.

SAVE YOURSELF FROM PAIN AND SUFFERING! I had 3 procedures done, breast augmentation implant exchange, lipo 360 with a BBL in September 2022. I developed so many issues and complications, not to mention that my bbl is lumpy and uneven, parts of my skin have developed a terrible pigment that is more than likely permanent. My breast augmentation had so many things go wrong I had to pay over $2,000 elsewhere to get testing done, CT scans, ultrasound and medication because the doctor kept telling me that "Nothing was wrong with me, that I came in with a larger breast"! Absurd, I had perfectly symmetrical breast pre-op, and even if that had been the case, as a professional surgeon why didn't he suggest getting different implant sizes to correct the problem? That is because my breast were perfectly even prior to my surgery. My lipo areas are lumpy and uneven and I have developed so much fibrosis. Mind you I followed all of my post-op instructions to the T, I received at least 20 lymphatic massages, his technique is just not it. He did not leave me snatched, I am not a big person at that I'm 135lbs, and you would think my results would be dramatic to great. My entire experience here after my surgery has been terrible, from my breast incision opening and it draining heavily after 4 weeks to the doctor ignoring all of my concerns telling me nothing is wrong. Thankfully I was able to find a Board Certified PLASTIC surgeon who perfumed emergency surgery on my breast and put me on heavy antibiotics as my implant had developed a biofilm, he also drained over 100ml of fluid to my breast. However, according to Dr. Obasi NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH ME.
