I have now driven from Irving to this clinic twice in the past two weeks, only to be told both times that my appointment had been canceled -- with no explanation given and no prior notification. Each visit cost me a day of work, plus hours spent calling my employer's HR department and my insurance company to confirm my coverage. Both confirmed everything was accurate and active. The problem was never on my end. What makes this worse is that the clinic seemed to place the blame on me for their own cancellations, rather than taking any accountability or offering a solution. I understand that schedules change and issues come up, but canceling appointments last minute without notice and then pointing the finger at the patient is not acceptable -- especially for someone trying to establish a new patient relationship. I've lost time, wages, and patience over this. If you're new to the area and looking for a reliable primary care provider, I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere. First impressions matter, and this one speaks volumes.

We were contacted two months ago and told that my mother had overpaid by $300 and that a check would be mailed to her in 30-40 days. They verified her address. Now it has been over 60 days. I called the office today and was told that it was still being processed, "you know, they have to verify the mailing address, print the checks, and sign the checks, but they are really behind." I cannot imagine that it takes that long to process a check once you already have verification of the mailing address. The office clerk also said that there were many patients in this process. Really? How is that you overcharged so many people? If I owed a payment to AOA, I'm sure I would be penalized if I was more than 60 days late with the payment, but I doubt we will get any interest for AOA holding my mother's money for months. And, State law and Texas Medical Association requires that repayments of overcharges be return within 30 days to the patient. This is very poor office management for AOA.

Recovery was a bit quicker and again, pain free (except for a few days here and there. About a year ago my left knee was hurting--Dr. Myles did arthroscopic surgery and that knee is just about good as new (considering I am 69 years old, that is an accomplishment). Dr. Myles is my go-to for all things orthopedic. I have referred several friends and relatives to him. I discharged myself from her practice and my current provider has requested my records for about 2 weeks now. They've been told that they are understaffed but I know that's not true. They told my provider that I was only seen there once and that isn't true either. Someone called on the phone to request records and the person at the front desk placed them on hold to try to get help with the call. Dr. Auerbach snapped at her and told her that they're not going to just send records out immediately because someone asked for them. That it could take at least 3 weeks. I'm wondering, how can I continue in my current treatment with my new provider if they don't have access to my records? It's possible, but frustrating. Save yourself some time and energy. Choose a different doctor.

He truly takes his time with his patients and never makes you feel rushed. He listens carefully, really tries to understand what you're feeling, and goes above and beyond to help fix the problem instead of just masking it. What stands out most is that he takes the time to get to know you on a personal level. You can tell he genuinely cares, and that kind of bedside manner is rare these days. Everyone in the office is very kind and professional in person. The environment is welcoming, and when you're there face to face, the experience is great. Unfortunately, the biggest issue is communication. It is incredibly difficult to get a hold of someone at the office. Whether it's for scheduling, a prescription refill, or just trying to ask a question, it can be very frustrating. My brother and I both go to this office, and we've both experienced the same issue when trying to speak with someone. Getting a response can take much longer than it should, which adds unnecessary stress when you're already dealing with pain. Despite that frustration, I still wouldn't want to see any other doctor besides Dr. LeDoux. His level of care and dedication outweighs the communication challenges, and that says a lot. I just truly hope the office improves its responsiveness because the medical care itself is outstanding.
