I have some tattoos I want to remove and today is an incredibly meaningful day for me personally so I thought maybe I ended up here for a reason. I'm a nurse, so I completely understand how things operate on an appointment only basis. However, the sign at the desk says have a seat and one of our staff members will be with you shortly or something to that effect. So I sat down. For maybe 15 to 20 minutes. Several staff members looked at me while calling other patients back and I understand entirely that seeing your scheduled appointments is the priority. But literally not even speaking to someone, just looking at them like a nuisance, not a single one of three different staff members acknowledged that I was even in the building. I literally made a Yelp account just to talk about how disappointed I am about this. That's not how you treat people. And I'm in the business of treating people, so I would know. I'd be willing to come back if someone would be willing to acknowledge me with more than just glancing at me like I have no business being there at all when it's literally a business. It definitely didn't make me feel like I want to continue engaging long-term over the process that involves trusting my body with people who won't even gesture at me to suggest that they'll be with me in a moment, or even speak to me like a human.

At the consultation I was told it would take at least 3 sessions, which were closer to $125 EACH. That was a red flag and I wish I would've just left at that point. Fast forward, and this is what it looks like now after three sessions and over $300 invested. Obviously this is going to cost a lot more money and more sessions. I just wish he would've been upfront with me at the start, that this would end up being more like $1,000 not $125. That's a *huge* discrepancy, and in that case I would've just kept the tattoo.

I came in for laser hair removal on my lip and chin, and I now have more hair than when I started. Because I had never shaved my face before, the shaving required for the treatments has completely altered my hair growth and left me in a worse position. A major issue is the lack of consistency. There is a constant shift in the staff performing the service. While the rotating staff obviously know they are treating my lip and chin, they have absolutely no idea whether there has been any actual improvement because no single person tracks your progress over time or knows what specific areas to focus on. When I brought up that my hair is actively worse than when I started, their only solution was to suggest I go on a maintenance plan, that is 70% off. I understand that maintenance may be needed eventually, but that should be for after a successful period of time. Pushing a maintenance plan right away when the initial treatment failed and made the problem worse feels incredibly tone-deaf. For the price and the promises made, I expected much better results and continuity of care.

A buddy suggested that I go to an IV hydration clinic instead. The obgyn nurse said an IV hydration clinic would probably be cheaper than paying ten percent at an ER. My husband found Smooth Aesthetics. Smooth Aesthetics is owned by nurse Oscar and his physician wife Dr. Leyva. Oscar was able to see me within two hours at their Round Rock location. I paid $200 for two saline bags plus Zofran. Zofran is an anti-nausea medication, which Oscar thought might help with the other end, but it didn't. Nonetheless, I didn't feel like dying from dehydration anymore, and the baby was safe. For an additional $25, Oscar will travel to your house if you're unable to get a ride. If you only need one bag of saline, it's $150. It's much cheaper than going to an ER. He also administers generic semaglutinide for $300/ month. He showed me before and after pictures of his personal weight loss of forty pounds, and he looks amazing. I would be interested in a NAD IV in the future as it's all the celebrity rage right now for anti aging.
