We didn't actually eat here so take this review for what you will. I remembered going here as a kid when it was the brown derby and getting the most wonderful steak dinners. I didn't even realize this place was open but after attempting unsuccessfully to find dinner in a slam packed Amherst, we ended up driving past this place and stopping. As soon as we walked in we began to reconsider because we were immediately hit by the smell. It was kind of a mix of church basement, old grease, and stale beer. We decided to be brave and ventured in to look at a menu. An unfriendly bar maid informed us that because it was winter they only had fried snacks like wings and mozzarella sticks, as though that made any sense whatsoever. There was no food being consumed by anyone, just people in varying states of inebriation. Needless to say we did not stay to order anything. Not really worth your time to stop. read more
