DO NOT GO HERE!…read more Always enjoyed Valvoline's service. So when I went to this location I expected the same service. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience that ended with my oil pan being punctured and needing to tow to a Firestone. $100 oil change was not charged, but now I had a quote for $1600 to repair the thing- tariffs and part shortages made finding a cheaper option in my area impossible. The manager of this location offered me a 25% discount for the next oil change, even mentioning that he didn't even need to do that and he was just being nice. He also claimed a rock would've broken the rust because it was so bad. The area manager and him "reviewed the footage" and came to the same conclusion. The Firestone mechanic, however, found that the hole was about the size of a finger. And was NOT caused by rust. Frankly, I'll take the word of a mechanic that looked at the part in question rather than managers "viewing footage." Currently waiting on a reimbursement for the damages, but as of now they denied my claim. So I'm just going to review them on every platform so people know.

Three days later, the same tire has a ,AJOR leak, down 8 psi in 3 days! so not only did they either not patch the tire or patched the wrong spot but they made the problem much worse! This is supposed to be a company that specializes in tires, and they can't get a simple repair right? in 90 minutes? Completely dissatisfied, and I would recommend ANY other tire store before Mabis.

She broke down near Binghamton, NY and the tow operator (Ted from S&S Automotive - TED YOU ARE A REAL GENTLEMAN!!!) took the car to one of his friends that recently moved to Binghamton. E&J Automotive Services is the name and Eric is the owner. She broke down on Sunday late afternoon before Labor Day. I didn't think we would get anything done until Tuesday or Wednesday but Eric came in on Labor Day and looked over the car confirmed the Alternator was bad! He also did a safety inspection of the car to see if any other issues before breaking the bad news of the Alternator. He found a few other minor issues as well as a brake issue that I knew was going to need service in a few months and he went over all issues on the phone, He quoted my reasonable prices for all the work, not cheap but reasonable! If you want cheap you will get what you pay for, cheap and worthless work. He promised all the repairs would be done by end of the day about 5 or 6 due to waiting to get Alternator in early afternoon. He finished about 3:00 PM and I drove up to pay for and pick up the Vehicle. I went over the car and all work was completed as promised, car ran like a new car before the issues! He went over the safety report to tell me of tires, brakes, and other wear percentages, a great idea to let you know of how things are wearing well, uneven or out of line. I can honestly recommend to all who live near or in Ithaca, NY to go the E&J Automotive Services if in need of car repairs or if you have a possible issue that you want looked over! My only real negative is he is not near my current home and an hour to my daughters school. I can say if I need to see a Honest, Reliable, reasonably priced mechanic if I can wait to get up to him I will take my cars to Eric!!! That is how much he impressed me!

Okay this is another business that I am at very frequently that I can't believe I have not yet left…read morea review. I have been going to this particular Firestone location for years with multiple vehicles and I have to say that Carmine is one of the most honest mechanics I have ever met. A lot of people have an opinion of Firestone and various other car repair places as being rip off joints and a lot of them are. Before I found this particular location I used to go to other places and literally be afraid that they're going to come out and say oh you need a new Johnson rod or something of that nature because every time you take a car to one of these places they find something else wrong with it that you did not know about. This place is not like that. I drive approximately 100,000 miles a year for my job, and my wife does very close to that as she does the same. I purchase minimally four to five sets of tires per year from Firestone and have my brakes done, oil changes every month, and various other repairs that you wouldn't really think a firestone could handle like for example they replaced an axle on a Honda Civic for me. Most people think they just do oil and tires but you'd be surprised. I'm not going to say that they are especially inexpensive or anything however I probably get a little better deal than some because of the frequency that I'm in there and the money that I spend. They do stand behind everything they do and if you're not happy with something that they have done and you go back in there and politely explain it to them it will be fixed. They also offer a Firestone credit card which will give you 6 months same as cash on any purchase I believe over $250. This comes in very handy for people that may not have the money laying around for a set of tires that they really just need. I do strongly recommend however that you keep a good eye on this as if you go over the 6 months and your balance is not paid in full all the interest that would have accumulated will suddenly become due. The interest rate on this card is rather scary so you really don't want that to happen. No I know this doesn't really belong on a review for Firestone however I feel I need to add that if you do leave your car here to have work done on it and you are waiting for it, the waiting area is just about as boring as you can probably imagine however about a half a block away is Chris's diner. I'm pretty sure I have reviewed them before and if not I will soon because they rock.
