I was really looking forward to getting fitted by Gott Golf and just got the opportunity (birthday…read morepresent). So, I loaded up my 24-year old clubs and met with Chuck. When I started telling him my background, his first question was "what's your budget." I told him the number I was thinking and he immediately told me that it was not enough money. I was under the impression that a golf fitting could be really beneficial and that even if I didn't buy the clubs from Gott, I could use the insights to buy them at my own pace or in a more economical fashion. Chuck said that they only focus on what they have in their inventory and nothing else. So, there were NO INSIGHTS I could gleam from his expertise, unless I dropped a massive amount of money with Gott. Now, keep in mind, a full bag fitting at Gott Golf is $350 for around 2.5 hours. The vibe I got from Chuck was that I was asking him to work for free or something. Whether or not he meant it to come off that way, he was actively trying to convince me not to do the fitting. I honestly can't remember the last time I felt so disrespected. Don't get me wrong, I understand the business model. But, when you seek out a "professional" or "expert" in any given field, you want the experience to be enjoyable, informational, helpful... Not sure if I was being judged based on my old, beat up clubs or what... But, there was no friendly, meaningful or human conversation upon my arrival. Just "what's your budget?" Unless you want to spend $5,000 on Golf Clubs, Gott Golf does not want your business. In fact, it seems like they don't even want to be helpful for $350 over 2.5 hours... That's $140 an hour. They must be making bank off these custom golf club fittings if $140/hour is so insignificant to them. How would I describe the experience? Out of touch. Snooty. Deflating.

Beautiful, big and bright indoor and outdoor range that's open Tuesdays thru Sundays…read more Nice bow racks for easy access in between shooting. $10 for the use of range for the day - no limit on how long you can stay within business hours. Love that they have a section for up to 40 yard distance if you are interested in trying. Rack for putting your bags/cases away and many picnic tables for rest, if needed between sets. We came on a hot summer day and the only thing was that most of the indoor range is not temperature controlled, no AC (only in the bathrooms did I feel the AC), no fan that's for use on the open side of the range. I probably could have gone and asked if we could turn on the fan on the closed half of the range but the employees were extremely busy with their customers on getting their compound bow ready for hunting season. I'd probably come back again when the weather cools down if I want to practice on a Sunday... overall a great spot but trying to stay cooler and not overheat during the Summer.

If you're looking for a Denver archery pro shop that's actually beginner-friendly, No Limits…read moreArchery is it. I came in two weekends in a row and was helped both times by Tristan. First visit was just a bow rental, but he took the time to answer questions and make me feel comfortable as a new archer. No rushing, no pressure. Second visit, Tristan helped me build and set up my first bow (Prime Ronan) along with arrows, sight, rest, and release. He didn't just sell gear -- he properly fit the bow, walked me through the setup, and even coached me on basic archery form and shooting tips that made an immediate difference. Spent about $1,400 and felt confident in every purchase. Knowledgeable staff, solid tuning, and a genuine focus on growing the sport. Highly recommend for beginners, bow setup, tuning, rentals, and upgrades. Ask for Tristan.

Stoney Creek Golf Course - Hidden Gem With Big Personality…read more There's something about Stoney Creek that feels like stumbling on a secret you don't want to share--but you kinda have to, because it's that good. From the minute you pull in, it feels like you're somewhere far from the everyday. The out-of-town vibe is real--wide skies, the scent of fresh-cut grass, and the occasional sound of birds chirping or cows lowing in the distance. It's part peaceful, part quirky, and completely unforgettable. Whether it's your first time golfing (yes, they rent clubs--and make you feel completely welcome) or you've played so many rounds you've lost count, this course brings something special. The fairways have just enough personality to keep it interesting, but not so tricky that you lose your mind--or your balls. You'll chase pars and birdies, but more than that, you'll find yourself just... happy to be out there. Stoney Creek isn't fancy or fussy--it's fun. And maybe that's what makes it so memorable. It's a place where you don't have to be good to have a good time. It's where the game meets good company and golden hour sunsets. Honestly? We're lucky to have it. And every time I play, I leave thinking the same thing: "How'd we get so lucky?"
