Better yet, United now flies into here so you can book a United flight and catch a connecting flight from Denver. The airport used to be serviced by other small carriers which were spotty in service. Now United has 2 flights a day - one in the morning and one in the afternoon making connections easier and lessening layover times. The planes are small but the flight is short, about 40 minutes. From there you can get anywhere in the world. Now that said this has to be one of the most unique airports in the world! Inside the airport is the only restaurant available, an amazing Italian restaurant called Roma. This is a legit excellent Italian restaurant with a square footage that's about the same size as the rest of the airport terminal itself. They serve excellent food, they have great service and they have a full bar. It's actually one of the better restaurants I've ever been in in an airport anywhere in the world. This is a destination restaurant for people throughout the western Nebraska region and again it's located inside their regional airport which is out in the middle of nowhere in the country! Perhaps even more unique and even weirder is the fact that there is a legitimate professional drum shop called Steve's Drums located inside the airport terminal! How many airports anywhere in the world offer world class Italian cuisine and the ability to get your snare drum tuned all under the same roof. Zero- besides this one which is located in of all places in Scotts Bluff Nebraska. Hands down- the most wacky, unique airport on the planet!
