The staff is extremely friendly and genuinely caring -- they knew exactly how to talk to and interact with young children. From the moment we walked in, they made my baby feel completely comfortable. They hit my nerve put a temp filling in once the numbness went away I went so much pain! I couldn't sleep I couldn't close my mouth they didn't give any medicine. When I called the next morning they couldn't squeeze me in to fix the pain and issues they caused! My husband comes to San Dimas family dentistry and highly recommended them. I called was a new patient and they were able to get me in same day, take care of the root canal and do the temp crown all in the same day. My pain was wrong. The dr was gentle explained what was happening through out the way. Him and his staff are very honest and explain everything. Being able to be seen as a new patient and have so much work done the same day meant so much when the dentist I've been going to couldn't even do that. I will no longer be going back to them and sticking to San Dimas Family Dentistry. I highly recommend them and promise you won't be disappointed.

I am happy to give this one to the treatment staff that worked on my son Friday night in the beck rooms. Dr Lim is new there but he is every bit as good as Dr Kareem was. He talked to my son the entire time. Son has had all of his treatments at Children's Choice so far, who takes our military insurance United Concordia. I cannot say enough about this duo. Chelsea is not only very calm and nice to kids, she enjoys working with them! Dr Lin talked to my Son the entire way thru sealants and a molar filling. My son is 7. He talked my son thru the worst parts and my son sailed thru the novicane injection, which is the part I hate the most! Ick. Chelsea put on the Lego Batman for my son to watch while laid back and he got to pick a toy before we left. Chelsea helped me decide to pay the extra fee for the gas so my son would be comfortable. The gas is worth every penny and I have used it 3 times on my son's treatments if in doubt plan to do it. Chelsea had a good point and I went with my gut and paid the gas fee. The fear for kids is lasting and the same whether is be a small filling or a big one and my big guy walked out worry-free and numb, but like a champ. After the treatment, I got to talking to Chelsea about military stuff and Texas and her beautiful son (who is also my son's age). She beamed and showed her personally. I miss this touch in these doctor offices..... and I hope they hold on tight to her and Dr. Lin cus God knows we need these people to help keep our kids healthy AND happy. Not all heros wear capes but maybe Chelsea and Dr Lin should! Im not sure I could do the job they do. ----Part 2---- I do feel like the front desk has a strange vibe no matter who I deal with. The warmth they should bring at a children's dentist is never there and never has been. They hire a very young desk team and perhaps they don't see the value of the old town dentist feel, but it is something that would put you and your child at ease. They lack that and sit low behind a really high desk and barely greet you or crack a smile and NEVER talk to my kid. They (all of the front desk staff) seem like you are bothering them upon check in, then basically give you the wet mop treatment then tell you to have a seat. That part is weird. Each and every person interacting with me or my kid need to bring a child friendly attitude to work at a Children's Dentist and for the love of God smile! Its a dentist office!!! Some parents are afraid of the dentist themselves, the least you could do is appear happy to see your customers who are paying your paycheck. I honestly get more enthusiasm walking into the vets office with my dog. Please owner/s, fix this. Train your people starting with customer service and the minute 'the patient' walks through the door. We are running around, taking time off work to get there, fussing with a whiney kid to get them there because you have a 10 minute rule...but the rules are more important than your clients, and a your paycheck does not cover you smiling to your customers, engaging my child (who is nervous and excited and always just a little nervous) I know, but put yourself in our shoes as the customer...of a Children's dentist! ---part 3---- Besides going with the gas, do bring your child a blanket or stuffed animal. You have no idea how my son likes holding his silly Grogu and the fact I thought of him to bring a comfort item goes far...plus his hands are occupied holding something to prevent him from using them to touch his face. This time I brought a blanket. He used it to cover the cold chair which I thought was a good idea. Big thanks to Children's Choice and Chelsea and Dr. Lin! We were in and out and headed to Wendy's across the street to have a frosty while the numb wore off. Easy peasy. I'll be back next month as the Ortho doctor there is assessing my son,'s baby teeth aren't falling out very quickly and we are taking xrays every 6 months.

In the past 17 years there has been lots of changes but they still have things to entertain kids like iPads, fish tank, and TVs playing kid movies. Dentist and dental assistants are very nice even when kids are crying or scared you can hear them trying to de-escalate the situation. One thing to note is it's an open space where multiple kids are being seen at once. So if you prefer privacy, this may not be the spot for you. I did ask for a private room once because my youngest daughter cried at the doctor, so I wanted to make sure she didn't cry in front of all the other kids and scare them. It was a longer wait time so it would be pretty inconvenient to do that all the time. Overall great spot for my family.

At the second appointment, we were told the price had gone up significantly due to their own mistake and now they expect us to pay for it. That is not how ethical healthcare works. When we disputed the charge, instead of resolving it professionally, we were bombarded with text messages, sent bills by mail, and threatened with collections. I specifically asked to speak with the doctor so she would know how badly her front office is mishandling patient finances. The office manager refused. That alone speaks volumes. Either the doctor is completely disconnected from her staff, or she allows this behavior. Either way, it's concerning--especially for a pediatric dental office where trust matters. I would not recommend this office to any family.
