I had a very disappointing experience at this dental office. During my visit, I was told I needed to take antibiotics before receiving treatment. This had never been recommended by any previous dentist I've seen, so I chose to decline the treatment because I wanted to seek a second opinion first. After I declined, I was asked to sign a form. I chose not to sign because I wasn't comfortable doing so. Instead of respecting my decision, the staff repeatedly pressured me to sign, which made me feel very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the experience didn't end there. After I left, I called the office to schedule another appointment, and the front desk staff was extremely rude. The person I spoke with raised her voice and spoke to me in an unprofessional manner. Patients have the right to ask questions, decline treatment, and seek a second opinion without being pressured or treated disrespectfully. A few months ago, I visited a dental clinic near my home to get dentures. After filling out the paperwork at the front desk, I waited about an hour before being taken inside, where I sat for another 30 minutes before finally seeing the dentist. He pulled up my insurance information on the screen, said something to the staff, and started talking about implants. They then sent me to another room for a scan and told me I would have to pay out-of-pocket because insurance didn't cover it. I had gone there specifically for dentures--and had clearly talk to them and I was so frustrated after just sitting around waiting that I ended up leaving. right after this, they billed my insurance over $400 and made me pay $150 out of my own pocket for the scan. I went to another dentist for a deep cleaning back in December and was told to come in every three months for regular cleanings after that. I've been keeping up with it, but because of insurance changes, I tried booking my next cleaning at Wong Dental and was told I had to do a consultation first. After the consultation, the financial coordinator handed me a quote for over $3,000 for a deep cleaning, fillings, and two onlays. This is where I got frustrated.. the dentist knew I had just done a deep cleaning last December, so why would I need to spend over $600 on another one less than a year later? The financial coordinator even told me I'd need to come in every three months for regular cleanings after the deep cleaning if i agreed to do so... which is literally the same thing my old dentist recommended. The only difference? I didn't do my deep cleaning here, so it felt like they just wanted to take my money. I told the coordinator I just wanted a regular cleaning and the fillings because of my financial constraints. Instead of trying to work with me, she gave me major attitude, said she'd have to check with the dentist, and kept pushing for the deep cleaning. I said I'd think about it and call back. When I called later to confirm I just wanted the regular cleaning, she answered again and snapped, "I already told you I'll talk to the dentist about it. Either I or my coworker will call you back." Never heard back from them. I understand that the dentist was making recommendations based on the consultation and i should've provided previous dental records to show improvement of my teeth / gum health but this was just too unnecessary and both of our times were wasted. read more

So I then went to last appointment of the day status and just recently got short notice cancellation on that after confirming 4 times ! This place is amazing. Dr. Wong does amazing painless procedures. I think it's important to note that dentist who have smaller hands makes it easier. I have been with Dr. Wong for many years, but I have encounter they are charging too much on every procedure. I have check with other patient that are doing the same procedure with another dentist and they only charge 1/3 of what they told me. I feel that every time they see me in their private office, is something that will cost me $$$. I think they do not have someone that clean the office, there was floss and used rinse cup on the floor and dust everywhere. I really feel that the cleanliness is important at a dental office specially when you are on the health industry. Please check the last room on the left corner, and you will find all the trash I have mentioned. I don't think they have someone that clean the equipment or the floor on regular basis. My experience with Wong dental started really promising. I went there for a second opinion. I explained my reasoning for this and they were very understanding. All good, came up with a course of treatment, had to wait for approval of treatment from my insurance that took about 2.5 weeks to get. All this time I was in pain. We received approval for treatment but not for cosmetic work. This is when things turned they needed 2500.00 to proceed, I explained to them I can not financially do that but I wanted just to fix what would take my pain away and her ( office mgr) told me it's all or nothing. Quote "that's beneath are standards of care we can't help you" I was shocked and the meetings was over without not even any alternatives offered. So if you decide to use Wong Dental be prepared to reach in your pockets if you want to be helped. I wasted 3 weeks of my time and nothing got done, I'm still in pain and now I have to start over with another Dentist. What a shame how greed will interfere with your health and quality of life. Due to C19- You have to call and wait outside like a animal. The phone number goes to an answering service and forwards the message to the office. But I've waited 20+ minutes and past my appointment time. Knock and it doesn't get answered. Only way the door opens if someone is leaving and your able to get in. I brought this frustration to the office-Per the office staff. The phone never rang. Or for any messages or hear knocking. It's like they are completely clueless on their own operation! While at my first visit I decided to set up an appointment with their orthodontist on staff and OMG she was so cold and quick and uncaring, she didn't give two F*cks about my retainer I already had, she just immediately wanted me to spend $$ after looking and my teeth for 5 SECONDS, and had the nerve to roll her eyes when I questioned if she had even looked thoroughly at my teeth. Facts: At least on the day I was there: 1) No one took patient temperature prior to allowing them into waiting area. 2) No one asked any symptoms history, travel history, or even COVID status prior to entering the waiting area 3) Your own front desk confirmed that the policy is to wait until you bring your patients to the back to get temperature and to ask questions 4) The chairs have no been moved and is no different from any of these pictures in the other reviews. They are right next to each other and not set up for social distancing 5) *Also why even mention air filter?* This is not an airborne pathogen. Your air filter does nothing to reduce the spread of this virus. That comment just doesn't even make sense in this conversation. This is a droplet precaution virus, which is why masks, which stops droplets, and distance helps. Even if it was an airborne pathogen, it is 3 microns! No filter can filter 3 microns. Even the N95 filters 95% of anything 5 micons or larger. The air filter comment sounds like it's from someone with no knowledge of how respiratory viruses work in general. All in all, the facts show that your waiting area is unsafe, and it shows that your primary concern is to protect yourself and not your patients. Because if you feel it important to ask these questions for safety then why wait until the patients are already exposed in the waiting room. Let's address some of these other non-factual comments that does not address these concerns. 1) Your past review even if there are 5 star reviews, does not address or matter with regard to these safety concerns 2) Asking for your dental license information does not constitute "aggressive verbal behavior". Being held accountable to what your staff decides to say and do is not "aggressive verbal behavior". 3) Even saying that someone had "aggressive verbal behavior" due to some twisting of perception, does not mean that the above safety concerns are not valid 4) This is just unprofessional and unreasonable response to a valid concern of safety from the staff all the way up to owner read more
