The kids were loud and cause disruption while still waiting outside. They let people in while chewing gum and making so much chewing noise. I complained about this and my concern was met with a cold shoulder. The lady at the desk did not even take it serious and just smiled in a creepy way every time I brought it up. They take forever to get people to be checked in and out. If you are taking a test and is on a scheduled break, this center is a disaster and they will waste your exam time chatting and laughing with the kids while checking them in. I waited more than 40 mins to check in when it takes simply no more than 10 mins at every prometric I've been to. They had 3 employees and none gave a damn about the 10+ people waiting in line. Do not trust them to take your exams here. The manager clearly just wants money and crams a large number of people including kids inside. On top of it, their headphones are very cheap in quality and doesn't even go over the ear. There is no noise cancellation in them. While I was listening to audio during the test I could hear all the noise outside which caused me a major distraction. Everyone here is so lazy and walks slower than a sloth and doesn't appreciate or understand the seriousness of exams. Do not take your exams here. Someone needs to close this branch or make changes to the useless apathetic staff working here.

Important to note: This course is $9000 if you sign up early, $10,000 if you sign up later on (of which neither cut off date was listed), and ~$11,000 if you pay along the way. The actual company name is Trilogy Education Services, and they take part in UC extension programs (and I suspect it is to mask their intentions with the UC's good name). The staff enjoys to call themselves recruiters, when in actuality they are salespeople who employ methods that are very similar to that of a timeshare: persistence, half-truths, and condescension. I received multiple emails from the company, and phone calls about 2-3 times a week. Once they got a hold of me, I did express that I was interested, but unsure due to my schedule and time commitment. I was informed it is ~30hrs/week commitment. I figured that this could potentially fit into my schedule, and asked about th next part of the process. They sent me an assessment, which was alarming in how easy it was. Something interesting is that there are asterisks underneath every coding-specific question that reads "remember: you are allowed to use Google to answer any of these questions!" They also send a questionnaire about what type of person you are, and if you're a "good-fit" for their course. In reality, I think this is meant to be used to hold against you if you end up finding that it does not work out (which is what happened in my case, with my "recruiter" insinuating that I lied about my work ethic in response to me politely explaining that I would be willing to do the program later when my workload would allow for it). Based on her response, I can confidently say that I will not be contacting them again, as I had previously intended to. Overall, I have found that if you are being constantly pestered by a company, and then guilted after rejecting, then perhaps the company isn't as prestigious as they claim to be. You can teach yourself code for free online at Udemy, EdX, FreeCodeCamp, and CodeAcademy, to name a few. Just set the time for yourself and treat it like an appointment. If you are in the San Diego area, and prefer learning in a classroom environment, Grossmont Community College has well reviewed professors in the Computer Sciences almost entirely across the board. Save your $9000/$10,000 for a new car.

Sent ONE over aggressive email requesting an IEP (that no one responded to) and took almost every penny of my retainer. This woman will take your case with her mind already made up on what to do next without ever meeting your child. After careful consideration I decided to retain Jennifer for her advocacy services for my kindergartner. I requested a review of her current IEP amendment and wanted recommendation if I should sign the document. During our phone calls it was very hard to keep on topic but I thought wow she's passionate and has many story's of experience. She continued for over 30 mins to discuss her past grievances with SDUSD, former coworkers and anyone who is an employee of the district. On the phone she could understand my concerns and said let's request a new IEP meeting and assessment- Great! I agreed, she went on to say "I already know we're not going to agree with their assessment- we can get that done THEN request a district funded IEE. (Sounds like a premeditated plan to drag out the process but okay) I was unsure of what an IEE was but i said okay while thinking to myself is that necessary, what if we DO agree? Upon reading the sent email (2 aggressive paragraphs by the way) she requested an FBA (behavior analysis) even tho my child has zero reported behavior concerns. This alarmed me- I don't want to request more than what's needed, I don't want to overwhelm the system or teachers. I just wanted a review of the original file and recommendation to sign or not. When I messaged about my concerns & mentioned I do not what an FBA ie. what if they comply with my requests and we agree with their new assessment? She stated it's all for "data" and we definitely wouldn't agree with them- she is the expert and she's not in the going to beg me to retain her services. Right there that's all I needed to hear- she's not in the business of HEARING your situation or tailoring her services- she hates the school district, she has distain for her former employees and wants you for the long term as a client, to drag the process on by requesting unnecessary data and if you disagree- she will speak to you as if you work for her and keep your retainer. To be clear this is what she did Took 12 days to review a very small 2 year file 3 days to respond to my request for an update 1- 30 min call where she rambled about herself and distain for SDUSD 1 overly aggressive email requesting unnecessary data to keep us as a client long term EQUALS $628 -- RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN
