Dr. Sinclair, is the most kind and professional oncologist. My mother is in his care for over 10 years. We were so lucky to find him.

While she initially came…read moreacross as empathetic, that quickly changed once my mother-in-law began expressing her concerns. After briefly reviewing her MRI, Dr. Patel dismissed her symptoms and told her that injections would not work, that her spine was "closed," and that surgery was the only option. The conversation felt rushed and one-sided, with surgery being pushed without exploring or discussing other possible treatments. When we tried to follow up with questions and concerns, the office did not return our calls for over a week. When we finally received a response, we were told that my mother-in-law had "trust issues" and that Dr. Patel would not continue working with her. This was extremely unprofessional and upsetting, especially for someone who was simply seeking clarity and reassurance about her health. Ironically, we are now grateful that the relationship ended, because we found another doctor who took the time to properly evaluate her MRI, said surgery was not necessary, provided injections, and my mother-in-law is now doing great and feeling significantly better. Every patient deserves to be heard, respected, and given options -- not dismissed or labeled for asking questions. Based on our experience, we would not recommend Dr. Patel.

Headache specialists are hard to find, and I'm grateful that I had access to one. They seem to see a good deal of patients with migraines. If you're not familiar with Scripps Health, you should know that several providers are associated with, but not directly part of Scripps Health. It can be hard to figure out who's who and where. The agents at Scripps seem to favor their own; I didn't love that part. The care itself was good quality, though. Other than the one issue, I felt that people were trying to help.

It's obvious if you have something other than normal routine care needs he is NOT a doctor for you…read more Have seen him twice for the same issue that is only getting worse. He did submit for a test "STAT" but didn't bother to submit details to the insurance company to justify it. Therefore the test was refused. I received paperwork from my insurance company stating I needed to have my Dr submit the specifics as to why he wants the test done. Did he ever do that NO! Just saw Dr. Patay again today and he just laughed it off telling me I could appeal it if I wanted. When I gave him the denial paperwork I got from the insurance company and showed him where it stated what they needed he refused to read it just asking me what it said. WOW!!!! Don't you have to know how to read to pass medical school?? As I was leaving his office he again told me I can appeal the denial but he would again submit for the test. I asked if he was going to write the specifics as to the reason for the test and told me "I'll put you have a mass and submit a photo" WOW!!! He just doesn't get it!!! He will definitely NOT be an advocate for you. Hopefully I can get my issue dealt with and will be looking for a new doctor. Would NOT recommend.

Told her to get another Dr. And she reached out and is helping her out. Been seeing him for numbness and soreness. Told me to go home and don't eat any more protein bats and come back in 3 moths. He doesn't care and should not practice at Scripps anymore. Can't stand him.Negative zero ratings O stars

Dr. Benjamin and her assistant Michael have been MORE than helpful to me! After having a previous…read morepractice that was uncaring and couldn't diagnose my shingles, my family recommended Dr. Benjamin. In my entire life I've never met a more caring doctor! She has treated me like family. She's patient, thorough, extremely professional, and takes such good care of me! She really stressed that I should get a mammogram (I didn't want to), and they found cancer. It was caught EARLY thanks to Dr. Benjamin! The office staff is so kind, happy, helpful, and caring! Having a great doctor is important, but when you're in the middle of a major diagnosis you can't put a price on how valuable it is to have a doctor like Dr. Benjamin, Michael, and her staff to be there for you! They just jumped right in and made sure I was well taken care of! You're under the BEST care with Dr. Benjamin! I honestly don't know what I would do without her! (I certainly would have had less years on this earth with my family if not for her!) My family and everyone I know agrees that I am beyond fortunate to be under Dr. Benjamin's care! No matter what, I know that I'm getting the BEST possible care - and that is a peace that is PRICELESS!!! I have NO fears about my health knowing that Dr. Benjamin is my doctor! She's not just a fabulous doctor.... She saved my life!

After enduring several years of inferior care from my previous primary care physician (see my…read morerecent review of Dr. Barbara Denysiak), I had high standards for my new GP, and was not willing to settle again. I found Dr. Benjamin through calling the Sharp general number and told them what part of town I was in and that I wanted a new female GP, and lo and behold, an appointment was made for about a month away. While it was longer than I expected for an initial exam, I had nothing wrong and because this was a general-wellness visit, it was not a huge priority in scheduling. When I came in for that appointment I expected to fill out pages and pages of "getting to know you" medical forms and was only asked for my insurance card, so I assumed her front desk staff had made a huge mistake. When I did meet Dr. Benjamin, I was beyond impressed with her bedside manner, patience and professionalism. She took her time, explained that the reason she does not have me fill out paperwork is because that is her job and she proceeded to ask me the sorts of questions that are usually on those forms, but in a conversational manner that made me forget I was even talking to a doctor. As we talked she jotted down a few notes, then as she was explaining her philosophy of medical care to me, she sat down at the computer in the room and entered the stats she asked about previously. The entire process was quick and seamless, painless and appreciated on my part. She was not quick to diagnose or write me unneeded prescriptions and instead suggested we start at the core of my problems and work from there. What a concept! Each visit with Dr. Benjamin is quick and efficient and I appreciate that she values my time as much as she does her own. She never leaves me waiting, always asks how else she can help and continues to treat me like a human, not a number on a chart. She also referred me to Dr. Tarakjian, the greatest OB/GYN on the planet -- for which I am grateful. These are my first several experiences with Sharp Rees-Stealy and so far, I am impressed. Finally, doctors I can respect and recommend to everyone!
