Even people who can't drive a manual-shift vehicle are accommodated. Once on the track, driving experience was fun, straight forward and exactly as explained in the class. Logistics for participants and guests/visitors: For the noon class, TAKE FOOD, TAKE FOOD, TAKE FOOD! Did I mention that you need to take food? Yea, there's not a single concession stand or food truck on the property during the day and if your in one of the last groups to drive (5-7), you don't even get on the tack until nearly 3 pm. This can be a real pain if you have children and/or teenagers in your visitor group. Recommended DONT'S: -Don't bring pets, folks. The noise just freaks them out. Leave Fluffy at home. -Small children get very antsy and bored quickly. There's a considerable amount of down-time for drivers in later groups and their guests. The driving groups are broken down into groups of 9 drivers (9 cars on track at a time). Each driving group alternates in between the 5 lap riders-group and the 3 lap Limo ride. You will be solicited to purchase a picture package and an in-car video. The staff takes a picture of every driver sitting on the car and every car is rigged with an in-car Go Pro. The video costs $70. Word to the wise...check the name and car number on the flash card containing the video. My last name is Smith and I was provided a flash card with the same last name but different first name. Overlooked this at the trailer as it was sunny and bright out and saw the last name "Smith" so assumed it was my card. Overall, I'd highly recommend the Team Texas Driving Experience...especially if you bought it with a coupon. It's a ton of fun and a kick in the pants! Have fun!

Mrs. Aurora is very knowledgeable and experienced in the Montessori philosophy. I myself did not know much about it, but have loved seeing my son thrive in his learning under it. We moved out of state and leaving them was the hardest part. A special shout out to all of the girls on the management team (Chloe, Taylan, Akhia, Liz and Karina) and our favorite teachers Miss Ashley, Miss Blayne, Mr. Francisco, Mr. Spencer and Miss Quinn. When we first started, my son was 3 years old, and we truly loved his teacher. He adjusted well, was happy, and we felt like we had found a good fit for our family. Things started to change when he turned 4 and moved into the Pre-K classroom. During his time in that class, there were 3-4 teacher changes, and the lack of consistency was very difficult for him. We started seeing more behavioral struggles and tried to work with the school to figure out how we could support him together. Unfortunately, we often felt like communication was lacking, and we weren't getting a clear picture of what was happening during his days there. By the time we were made aware of the full extent of the issues, his behaviors had escalated to things like hitting, biting, and trying to leave the school. Even then, we felt the severity of what was happening was not fully communicated. A few months before they decided to unenroll him, we started receiving more details about what had been happening. These were things we felt should have been documented and communicated on the days they occurred, rather than being shared months later. We provided multiple plans and suggestions and truly tried to partner with the school. However, it often felt like our ideas were dismissed with a "we can't do that," or they would try something once or twice and decide it wasn't working. There was no consistent approach, and we never felt like everyone was working toward the same goal. This experience was disappointing because we genuinely wanted to work together to help our son succeed. Unfortunately, I would not recommend NTLC for children who are strong-willed, struggle with transitions, or need additional behavioral support. If your child does not fit the expectations outlined in their handbook, it felt like the staff struggled to determine how to best support them. While there were staff members we appreciated, our overall experience was that the communication and support from administration were not what we needed during a challenging time. We also found that questions and feedback were often met with defensiveness rather than an open conversation focused on finding solutions.

Our family has been involved with DCA since the 2nd year it was in existence. We have had 2…read morestudents graduate with honors, both of whom were able to enter secular higher education experiences with little adjustment to the rigor, schedule, or social difficulties often faced by high school students moving forward. The University Model School approach is different... and requires a substantial commitment on the parents (co-teachers) in partnership with the school - but for our family, it has been worth the sacrifice. This is not a perfect school, but it is a good school and the faculty and staff love the students very much. Overall, we are pleased with the level of education (life and academics) DCA has provided for our kids.

It made it easier for me to go to work, and do my class work. You can do the class work at your own pace, which I also enjoyed. This class gave me the materials I needed to then pass my CNA state test, and do it on the first try. In addition I got my CPR license. They made the experience as easy and straightforward as possible. I would recommend the CNA course, and all of their other programs they have to offer!

The environment is supportive, the teachers are dedicated, and the school really brings out the best in students. Some of the sports teams are HIGHLY political, but I don't fault the school administration for that... some coaches are just that way. Dr. Myers does a marvelous job communicating with parents and I cannot imagine how difficult it must be to try and please the parents in this community. I'm a former teacher (different district) so I have something to compare BNHS to. Homework seems light to me, but my kids are definitely prepared for college and beyond since they're taking advantage of the AP, On-Ramp, and other supplementary programs that this school offers.

The owner Danielle seems to genuinely care about her students and their safety around water. You can tell she is very passionate about what she does. In this modern culture where everyone gets a participation trophy and the kids seem to be the ones running the show, I really appreciated a place where the teacher is in charge and the student needs to listen and follow instructions. We did not have a good experience with swimming fishies. We had been to 1 swim school before and 2…read moresince, and this one was by far the worst. It is all gimmicks and marketing. For 1 lesson they talked to her about scooping her hands for ice cream and tying a band around her legs and by the next lesson they thought it was time to throw her in and let her go at it. They claimed she was "swimming"....she was struggling, floundering with no technique, and gasping for air when she would come up. That is how they promise their kids learn to swim faster, their standard for "swimming" is actually nearly drowning to anyone else watching. The coaches were young, inexperienced, and would give attitude to the kids if they lost their patience with them. We signed up as soon as they opened and even then I never saw the owner in the water doing classes or training her coaches. My 4 year old daughter hated coming and would cry and plead that I never send her back. (I would too if I was drowing multiple times in class every week). It became too much for her to handle and too uncomfortable for me to sit by and watch so I notified the owner that I was giving my notice to cancel classes. She didn't respond for weeks and then had the audacity to use the date she read the email as the date of notice cancellation. I let her know the date was wrong and she never responded. I disputed the charge and got threated by her husband to be sent to collections. I sent them their own policy (which I had luckily pre-saved since they tried changing it), copy of my original email, and the correct calculation of when I should have been charged until. Never heard back and they didn't even try to send me to collections because they were in the wrong. We have since found a different swim school that is amazing. They don't use gimmicky swim devices, they are kind but firm, my kids love going, and the owner is in the water all day every day. My daughter has learned more in 2 weeks at her new swim school then she did in months at swimming fishies.
