We are literally paying NOT to attend…read more Timeline of our experience with CDA. -March: daughter accepted enrollment in 9th grade position for following school year (5 months away) and we paid $8K of $13K tuition. We were so excited! May: my husband's company, Spirit Airlines, went out of business suddenly. June: We inform the school we must withdraw from enrollment due to extreme sudden financial change in our family. School response- we will pray for you, but you still owe the remaining tuition even if you never attend. We withdraw hoping for grace. July and August: multiple bills sent from CDA with late fees added. Husband is paying small chunks as unemployment checks come in, while my family has no health insurance and no income. School knows all of this and refuses to let the remaining balance go unpaid, though we gave notice over 2 months before school begins and we ARE NOT asking for the initial $8k back. I'll let you guess what we think of this school's heart after our experience. You could not pay me to attend this school after this experience. We are literally paying NOT to attend. 2 stars for grace (on our end, not theirs)

Update as of 9/11/26 :…read more We have been so pleased with our experience this year and last. We now have a half day kindergartener and a prek4 student in MWF half day. Both of our children's teachers have been wonderful to deal with. Our children have various neurodivergences, we have felt heard and supported through this entire journey. I was able to meet 1:1 with both teachers to explain more about our children and their unique needs. Our kindergartener comes home every day with a new nugget of knowledge and plenty of fun stories from his day. Every school will have its flaws and its hiccups, but I truly encourage anyone who is interested in this school to just take a tour and see for yourself. It's a very positive environment that truly celebrates God. Many "Christian" schools seem to be really just Christian in name only. Not here. I have been very happy with the balance of their education. The class sizes have been perfect for us. Each year will bring different numbers of kids of course, but so far we have been happy with the balance. I have heard that they sometimes combine grade levels if there aren't enough kids in a certain grade. I haven't experienced that yet so I can't speak much on it, but what I will say is that is no different than the co-ops we have also evaluated. It's not an uncommon thing to do in these smaller environments. We do plan to continue with our children in the program next year as well.

We were told we would have small class sizes but his class had 18 kids. 4th and 5th grades were combined. The poor teachers are so overworked. When we brought out concerns to Mrs Bandy she was dismissive and rude. Unfortunately there has been in increase in violent crime and homelessness in the area so we had concerns about safety, Mrs Bandy was particularly nasty about it, saying we should trust more in God's plan. In September, they let go very valued staff including Jennifer Gray, Paule Jones, Scott Himel, Khadi Miller, and a preschool teacher. In the letter to parents Beverly sited low enrollment as the reason. Jennifer was instrumental in running things smoothly and helped us so much. She was the stability. Nurse Paule was so helpful! In summary, Beverly Bandy is ruining this school. She is changing it from an academic and Christ centered environment to only being concerned about money. Beware!!!

Their understanding of math concepts was truly hit or miss and test performance was dismal. Since going to Mathnasium, they are now one of the top scoring students in their math class. Mathnasium significantly improved their understanding of math concepts, performance on math tests, and motivation to learn. It surpassed our expectations - by a lot. Originally, we hoped Mathnasium would get our child caught up, but after seeing such rapid improvement, we'll remain enrolled for the next several years. Our child enjoys the instructors and attending the sessions, making it a total win.
