Coram Deo has been an absolute blessing to my family. My son was bored and really didn't want to go to school. We decided to make the switch to Coram Deo and I'm so glad we did. Not only is he flourishing but he loves to learn. I can see his relationship with the Lord growing and his added awareness of being kind and thoughtful to others has grown by leaps and bounds. His classmates legitimately love each other. The teachers are loving and invested in the lives of their kids. I am forever grateful that the Lord brought us here. read more

Not a good experience. We are literally paying NOT to attend. Timeline of our experience with CDA. -March: daughter accepted enrollment in 9th grade position for following school year (5 months away) and we paid $8K of $13K tuition. We were so excited! May: my husband's company, Spirit Airlines, went out of business suddenly. June: We inform the school we must withdraw from enrollment due to extreme sudden financial change in our family. School response- we will pray for you, but you still owe the remaining tuition even if you never attend. We withdraw hoping for grace. July and August: multiple bills sent from CDA with late fees added. Husband is paying small chunks as unemployment checks come in, while my family has no health insurance and no income. School knows all of this and refuses to let the remaining balance go unpaid, though we gave notice over 2 months before school begins and we ARE NOT asking for the initial $8k back. I'll let you guess what we think of this school's heart after our experience. You could not pay me to attend this school after this experience. Fun parochial school. Very small. I like the setting in the country and outside of the city, slightly. The staff is great. I didn't get the cost yet, tho I'm expecting it not to be cheap. I noticed that they have lunch brought in daily, one day there it was Jason's Deli, another day visiting it was Chick Fil A. Very nice, made me hungry. It's a uniform school, the children are required to wear specifics skirts/pants and shirts so everyone looks the same as far as dress. read more

Very much run like a co-op in many ways as parents are the primary educator. Parents are responsible for most of the school work oversight and grading. If you are looking for a homeschool co-op experience, this is better than the Classical Conversations model and much more robust in the area of math.. However, if you are a veteran homeschooler you may find the material very dry for teaching and learning. If you are not firmly classical, it may not be the best fit. Extracurriculars are sparse and the class sizes are small, but they are growing. I do appreciate the administration's effort and care and am thankful for our family's time at Coram Deo. read more

My son has attended Coram Deo Academy since 1st grade. He is now in 3rd grade and is excelling! He has learned so much since starting and is way above academically then most peers his age that attend public schools. The teachers he has had have poured their love of Christ and their love of learning into him. He has made lifelong friends that are all raised in homes that are like minded and Christ centered. And of course, the thing we love most about CDA is the partnership between parents and the school. Having him home to teach has been the biggest blessing, by far. We love CDA and hope to continue through high school! read more

The academics are challenging, yet the environment is loving and encouraging. The teachers are all very talented and well-versed in the classical model, and they truly care about the mental and spiritual development of the students. I went to this school from fourth grade through high school graduation. I could not be happier with how much the school improved my time-management, leadership, and academic skills. We are half way through our first year at Coram Deo Academy with our 8th and 9th grade daughters. We could not be happier with our decision to move the girls here. For my 8th grader, the growth I've seen over the 1st semester is everything and more that I thought, and hoped, we would see with her. Her study skills have improved, her confidence has improved, and her determination is inspiring. My 9th grader has had a different experience for the sole fact that she started her school year with a concussion. CDA was the greatest blessing through her recovery. They were extremely accommodating, thoughtful and encouraging through the whole process. She managed to get through the first semester with great grades, and several incredible new friends along the way. We are so grateful God led us to CDA! read more

It has taught both my kids to be independent workers and to explore what they are learning; to think for themselves and to be involved in their learning. Our children have been going to Coram Deo Academy since the beginning of the educational career. Their growth in academics is superb. Although the concentration of work is greater than most other schools it's good for them. When they apply themselves the work gets done and in the process helps develop a wonderful work ethic. Many parents considering this program may have doubts about if they can handle the home schooling part of the program. The answer many times is yes. My wife does an incredible job in reinforcing the topics taught in class. She also gets to spend time with them during these precious years helping mold their character. read more

I went here 3rd grade through 5th grade and I was appalled at the amount of bullying they let go around. I went to so many teachers and they never did anything about the severe bullying at all. Throughout my time there, most teachers would accuse me of faking injuries, even though I explained to them my chronic illness. They still didn't seem to care or believe me. I had my mother explain it to them and they still told me to "toughen up" or to "get over it" and "stop making excuses". The only reason I'm giving two stars is because of the academic and curriculum. The school taught me very much and I am thankful to have learned those things, but I would give it up to not have to face everyday in fear and anxiety of being emotionally or physically bullied. Every morning I went to school, I would wake and cry. It took me about fifteen minutes to get myself together and get ready. Those were to absolute worst years of my life and I wouldn't go back if someone offered my a million dollars. read more

Words cannot express how satisfied and happy we are at Coram Deo Academy. While this is our 1st year there (3rd grade), it is our 4th homeschool since we started this journey (2 in GA and 2 in TX). I have always had to supplement at home because the academic rigor just wasn't quite there. However, I have not had to do that since coming to CDA. It is academically rigorous and offers a superb Christian education for my daughter. Students are held to high standards in every possible sense of the word. And faculty and staff live serve as amazing examples and role models for them as well. If offers everything that a "normal" school would offer and that is an added bonus. This school is like no other homeschool school we've ever been part of and unless we have a job change that moves us out of the area, we do not plan to leave. This is a place my daughter can grow and mature both in academics as well as her Christian faith. If I could give it a 10 star rating I WOULD! read more
