I noticed that they have lunch brought in daily, one day there it was Jason's Deli, another day visiting it was Chick Fil A. Very nice, made me hungry. Like the other reviewer, we too have had trouble with the administration. My children have never…read morebeen in trouble, but my daughter was being harassed by a boy. And administration felt that "boys will be boys." It got so bad that we had to remove her and place her in private school. As far as my son goes, things went great until the school found out he had a disability(medical issue) that we had not disclosed because it did not affect him at school. Then the principal actually told us that kids with disabilities did not belong in the gifted program (where he had been since grade school and always earned high grades) and preAP classes. He actually called us in for a meeting and had a couple staff members in a panel to try to explain to me that "kids like him" and "speds" do not belong in these classes. Fortunately, it was spring of 8th grade year and my son went on to high school and has done great, with no IEP and no 504, as he did not need it. It was pure bigotry and disgusting. Between the treatment of girls at the school and treatment of people with disabilities, this is not a school I can recommend.

Some of the sports teams are HIGHLY political, but I don't fault the school administration for that... some coaches are just that way. Dr. Myers does a marvelous job communicating with parents and I cannot imagine how difficult it must be to try and please the parents in this community. I'm a former teacher (different district) so I have something to compare BNHS to. Homework seems light to me, but my kids are definitely prepared for college and beyond since they're taking advantage of the AP, On-Ramp, and other supplementary programs that this school offers.

The school/Faith community's spirit and pride is both evident and inspiring; although the campus is a bit outdated, and crowded in the middle of residential Grapevine, there is plenty of street parking, nearby eats, and friendly students/parents, from what I experienced. Also, the 7am carpool is better than the Texas State Fair's car show displays. Just like every other affluent private school, the number of soccer moms in 2014 Escalades outnumbers the annual Cadillac inventory for Sewell. Alas, this isn't much of a helpful review, but then again, if you're seriously looking for a good North Texas private school on here, you might wanna do some more googling. ;)
