I agree with all previous bad reviews stating that Jessica at the front desk is rude with a bad attitude on the phone and they don't seem like they are appreciative of your business. Looks like they are pretty short staffed and they can't handle their patience flow. I called & sent my records & they offered me an appointment. But for some reason that don't EVER answer the phones, texts or reply to emails. I was offered the appointment 3 weeks prior. Then today I go into the office in person just to say, yes I would like the appointment & don't grasp why you don't return calls, texts or emails. She was rude & said "so do you really still want an appointment then". I said yes please, I need a cleaning. She said we have your email & will reach out. 20 minutes later the Dr lies & sends an email claiming they are not taking new patients. Great job dishonest a-hole, your pathetic receptionist makes the error & then you lie to me while wasting a month that I could've found a real dentist. read more

Dentistry Bliss and the staff are the best I have ever encountered. They take the time to talk to each and every patient they have and make it that much easier to go to the dentist since its everyones favorite thing to do. Tiffany at the front desk is the kindest soul I have ever encountered and does whatever it takes to put you at ease and really knows what she is doing. Dr. Dinh is awesome to talk to and does whatever he can to ensure you are well taken care of. I had my first cavity at 45 years old and was dreading going in to get it filled. Dr. Dinh worked his magic and I felt nothing during the procedure and even joked with him saying heck lets do another. LOL Great people and very nice business ethics. This dentistry charges for appointments that you never committed to! I would give this place a 0 star if I could! We cancelled our appointments but months later received a statement from this office and they charged us $50 for each of our cancelled appointments! The front desk (Jessica) were so rude and she hanged up on me when I called to ask for more details. This has been the worst experience I've had with any dentistry and I would highly suggest not coming here if you're considering dental visits. Conveniently located and nestled within the Woodbury Shopping Center, it's close to home. I have been seeing Dr. Dinh on quite a few "emergency" visits and have always managed to get an appointment in a timely manner. Most recently, I had small bump that appear at the roof of my mouth(though not visible to the naked eye). I noticed that it began to irritate and become more inflamed. I was able to call in to the dentist and get a quick appointment for the following day. Sure enough, there was an infection setting in and I needed to get a root canal done as if left untreated, would eventually cause severe pain. I scheduled an appointment for the following week but let them know that I would be willing to come in sooner as I would rather not wait around for the pain to be unbearable. Sure enough, I was able to get an appointment rescheduled 2 days later due to a cancellation. It came at perfect timing as the infection grew and was beginning to cause serious pain to the point where I needed to take pain medication every few hours just to be able to function normally. The night prior to my appointment, I felt a "pop" and was hit with immense pain. Thankfully, I had an early appointment the next day and could not wait to go to the dentist. Root canal took about an hour to complete and was totally worth it! I appreciate that they place numbing gel on your gums prior to the numbing shot as I was already in a bit of pain and to get that additional care for an already sensitive area, it made the procedure much more bearable and pleasant. I was told that my infection site would take a few days to heal but I definitely felt the effects right away. No more throbbing pain in my face and I didn't need anymore meds to make it through the day. The infection site still has a bump and is still in the process of healing at the moment but I am extremely grateful for the care received. Totally worth every penny and recommend everyone go to the dentist more often as preventative care is the best way to ensure you don't end up needing a root canal like I did. Dr. Dinh and his staff are the best. They are conservative in their recommendations and inform me to work that are necessary. The front and back staff are friendly and helpful. There are so many other dentist practices that have pushed me to replace crowns, fillings, when the current ones I have are fine and do not need to be replaced. Other practices have looked into my dental plan and knew how much my annual coverage entails and suggest I use it up or it will go to waste. I never have to second guess any dental recommendations from Dr. Dinh, he has my best interest at heart and not his financial gains! That is quite rare in Irvine. I love this office staff! From Dr Dinh, to Jenny (on the block) and Cindy, they truly represent caring for the patient. I am a hot mess when it comes to a dentist visit. Lots of young life trauma, and yet, from walking through the door of this office, to leaving at the end of my appointment, they never let me down. Dr Dinh, was kind, and just plain old nice! Not pushy, or overwhelming at all. He read the room and shifted to accommodate my needs very quickly! Jenny, is a dream, her heart is filled with so much compassion, and care, that I felt as if we were friends from a long time ago. She held my hand through the exam with Dr Dinh, and she worked quickly and efficiently on cleaning my teeth. Cindy, is warm and gracious. She handles your check in and out as if you are all that matters in the moment. She follows up on call backs, and works to get you referral contact information to keep the ball rolling. It took me 18 years to find this office, and it is my hope that this is the last time I need to go in search of another dentist. I don't know what I'll do if they ever change, leave, or if I move away! Oh, and for those that need this little tidbit: the office is spacious, clean, bright, and peaceful. I had a bad experience due to the unsuccessful payment with my insurance. The background is I went there for general dental clean, and they convinced me that I need deep clean and my insurance will cover most of fee so it is not expensive. So I did a deep clean as suggested. However, the insurance think the deep clean is totally not necessary and refused to pay 1/4 teeth after appealing. It cost me extra over 300 dollars. The front desk and the doctor never said there is a chance that the payment could be denied, they literally said they deal with my insurance many time before, they knew their policies etc. If they really read the policy, it says it only pay when it has teeth loose risks. How could they recommend it to me and say the insurance will pay for it? The only reason is they don't care about patients money at all, they only recommend projects for making money. Of course they refused me to adjust price. They said they already provided services, no discuss room. Even the appealing process is already the additional work for them. I should appreciate that. I asked if they could do appeal for me again, they said they already did what they can do. If doctor really think he is right and the insurance is wrong, why he could not point it out to the insurance? OR he can only trick customers?! I would say it is a very unpleasant experience and I will never go there again. Think about my experience and I believe there must be some better dental service in irvine area! read more

This place is so organized, clean, and high tech. They have an X-ray machine that captures your entire jaw to check if there are any abnormalities - (I have never seen this machine in previous dental offices). The dentist clearly explains all x-rays and any diseases you have, and explains what you'll experience throughout the cleaning. This is helpful especially if you have anxiety with teeth cleaning. The whole appointment was smooth and easy, and I left very refreshed and with very clean teeth!!! read more

Dr. Lynn is wonderful and I would have continued seeing her. I did not like Dr. Dinh. While his quality of dental care was exceptional, I was quite frustrated on a couple of levels: 1. Cancellation of appointments close to appointment because Dr. Dinh had work travel commitments. I travel for work and normally conferences are planned in advanced. As a courtesy, give your patients well in advance notice. 2. I had extreme toothache and he never called me back and left me to be in pain for the entire weekend or did not even try to squeeze me in on Friday to ensure his patient was okay. Conclusion- I'm not sure if he's the best patient care advocate. We moved dentists since our insurance changed. read more

I have been going to Dr. Dinh for the last 9+ years and have been so grateful to have found him and his team. Dr. Dinh is a fantastic dentist and has the best bedside manner when one has to have their teeth worked on. He is so personable and truly cares for each of his patients. Also every one of his hygienists are extremely friendly and they all work so well together. I recently had to come in for an emergency procedure (ugh...chipped my molar when in Costa Rica) and they were able to get me in very quickly and fixed my tooth with no pain or discomfort. I just went in for my six month cleaning and absolutely love getting to visit with the team there. In and out within an hour. The facilities are also top notch as well. Chipped my lower rt front center tooth On the inside of it and came in this am to get it fixed. There was a slight miscommunication and ended up fixing my left one next to (which was chipped on the inside too and had no idea) even though I was pointing to my rt with the mirror looking backwards I figured the one the dentist was pointing too was the one i can in for. So that one got fixed. As I'm about to leave i start feeling and realized the one I actually came in for was still the same. And still missing the back went back to him and the dentist was so sweet he took care of it for me. I was very pleasantly surprised with the grace he handled it (even though I'm sure he was irritated with me). But he fixed it and definitely none I know in future to make sure we are both looking at the same tooth lol. Anyways, great customer service and went above and beyond. My wife and I have been coming here for a while now and normally it's been a great experience until yesterday. We had an appointment set for 10 am. My wife and I got there around 950. She went in to check us in and the receptionist had said our appointment was cancelled. The receptionist said she called us and left a message at 935am cancelling our appointment. We were already on our way to the office from a different city. We show up to all of our appointments. Just thought it was very unprofessional to cancel an appointment 25 min before. For a very long time I have been terrified of going to the dentist. It takes one bad experience to really scar you for life and birth a fear like no other. I would make any excuse to not go back to the Dentist because I was really that terrified. even though I take care of my teeth I know in the long run it's important for ones overall to see a Dentist regularly. I came into the office and shared my concerns with both Dr. Dinh and his assistant Julie. They took the time to listen. I sat in the chair and they did everything you can possibly do to make me feel at ease and make me as comfortable as possible. Before I even knew it the procedure was over with not one ounce of discomfort! When did going to the dentist become a tolerable experience? I never had good experiences with dentist! I try to avoid a visit as much as I can because I associate dentist with great pain!!!! I called this dental office mainly for my hubby who broke a tooth. My first experience on the phone with the office was very pleasant. They answered all my questions in a very friendly manner... I set up an appointment for the next Saturday (I called on a Monday) for both of us.. I thought I should get a check up too before something breaks off ... When I entered the office I was stunned... they offer you beverages (cold and hot)... the office is very clean and it has a nice interior design.. Once I sat on the chair... I didn't feel like sitting in a dentist office staff and doc. were very nice. I had a great conversation and during the whole process (x-ray and cleaning) I watched TV... I don't mind paying a little bit more for a great experience at the dental office!! I can highly recommend this place for anybody who is scared to see a dentist!!! Seriously... Like almost 99% of the population, I despise going to the dentist. I hate it with a passion but I'm practical enough to know that if I delay the inevitable, it'll hurt more later. With that said, I've always been in search of a good dentist that gets the job done with the least amount of pain as possible. I found what I was looking for here at Dentistry Bliss. Dr. Dinh has been my dentist from day one and he's always been very patient, welcoming and thorough. He constantly checks in to make sure I'm doing ok during my cleanings. He goes out of his way to make sure I'm comfortable and not in pain. What I love the most is that the office is very clean and modern and Dr. Dinh has never tried to push me toward any unnecessary dental treatments like other places that I've been. The office is also fully decked with a bar with refreshments but I've never had a chance to enjoy the refreshments as I've always gone straight in with an appointment. No waiting time whatsoever. I typically don't like to review dentist's offices (being a foodie, they aren't as fun to review) but because of the care I received from Dr. Dinh and the friendliness of his great staff, I felt motivated enough to come on Yelp to post this review. Although I came in for a general cleaning, I knew that I was going to need some additional work since I had been procrastinating for years from seeing a dentist. Especially considering my past experience with dentists (my last few dentists always seem to find extra work you "need" that doesn't happened to be covered by insurance), I was extremely hesitant to go. At the onset of walking in to the office, you are greeted with a tranquil office environment. The decor is relaxing and inviting, in a way that makes you feel a bit at ease. More importantly, the staff member's (Tiffany) service matches the decor - she is extremely friendly and nice. A BIG plus for anyone when visiting the dentist. Now on the the examination room. As I waited in the examination chair, I glanced around the room to take a survey of my surroundings. Not knowing what's the latest dental gadget is, I'm guessing that the office was outfitted with the "latest and greatest" in the dental world - from digital x-ray machines, to flat screen televisions above each examination chair. Right away, you know that they've invested A LOT to not only care for their patients with the latest technology, but also service them while, more often than not, they are going in for something they don't want to deal with. When Dr. Dinh arrived, he was as friendly as his staff. He took the time to chat with me, inquiring about my dental history, etc. Very pleasant and nice person. Right away, you begin to feel at ease. From talking to him, you get the feeling that this guy knows his stuff and that he won't be trying to pull a fast one on you. I actually had to change dentists to another practice because my company changed insurance companies. I thought I found someone comparable in the area and hoo boy I hated them! I've been a regular patient at Dentistry Bliss since I first moved to Irvine in 2010. My first visit was a matter of convenience since I lived across the street. However, now I will go out of my way to make my appointments here no matter where I move. Andrew is professional, personable, and thorough. While his staff has changed over the years (and grown larger!) they have all been great as well. Of course when it comes time for the heavy duty work like root canals and crowns, I've always had Andrew do the work, and I've always been pleased with the results. Fortunately for me, those root canals were as a new patient, and I've been cavity free for the last several years. For better or worse that means I get to see Andrew less and less with each visit! read more

Dr. Dinh is fantastic. I have always been fearful of the dentist because I've never been properly numbed before a filling. He was patient and made me feel at ease (I had 7 cavities that had to be filled, one of which was a root canal already done that needed a crown). He always took extra time to numb me up and take any breaks I needed during the filling processes (multiple visits). Tiffany is great too - she's the hygienist (I think that's what she's called). She's super friendly and made me feel more calm. Dr. Dinh also showed me all the cavities I had in the x-rays and took pictures while filling my cavities so that I could see the problems. Christian is at the front desk and she makes you feel at ease the moment you walk in. She also helped me understand the billing process with insurance. Bottom line - go here! read more
