Update: Rachel the office manager called and was pleasant and polite so I give 2 more stars but I still feel that autorewing without knowledge or consent which is what happened to me is wrong and anyone using this office's dental plan (Premiere) needs to check their credit card statements (if you did not renew). It's very disconcerting to know that I'd paid $400 for a dental plan that I wasn't even aware I had! @@@ Please be aware that this company will auto-charge your credit card for its "dental plan insurance." I signed up for it a few years ago as I'd thought it was a decent deal- about $200 for two cleanings, X-rays, and supposedly 50-75% discounts on dental work. The discounts never happen. They will quote you an astronomical amount for dental work, then tell you because you have a plan, you will get something like 10% off. It is NEVER as much as promised. The plan also went up to $400. Because of all this, when I called to see if my plan was still active so I could get a cleaning (which I'd already paid for) they said it wasn't. That I needed to re-up. I said that was okay, I was going to try somewhere else anyway. THEY THEN WENT AND CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD. I only happened to notice because I was randomly going through my statements! They never called me to see about me coming in for a checkup or anything. I always give my credit card to the front desk people - so it's not even like I signed up for an auto-pay online (I could never make the Premiere Plan website work). Unbelievable. So now I'm disputing my charge. read more

For years I had no issues with this place or the care there. After every cleaning, the advice was the same: teeth look good, make sure to floss, maybe get a mouth guard to prevent wear. In 2024, a new practitioner came onboard. She looked at my X-rays and told me I needed caps and an extraction, altogether over 2k of work done! I was suspicious and went to another facility, where I was told: floss and watch gum recession. They looked at my scans from the previous facility and said nothing about all the work that place had recommended. I understand different practitioners may be more proactive than others, but we're not talking about replacing a tire or fixing alignment, we're talking about getting a new engine! Moral of the story is maybe get a 2nd opinion if this place suggests extractions or expensive work. read more

I found Dental 365- Park Slope via Zoc Doc. I was excited that they had a diverse staff and happy to have found a dentist, Dr. McKenzie, with who I felt comfortable. There were concerns regarding my teeth from my initial visit, and a plan was put in place. Unfortunately, the plan was expensive, and I did not have the funds to afford it at the time.  Fast forward to April 2022, and I could finally move forward with the plan. Unfortunately, Dr. McKenzie had an aggressive strategy that I did not feel comfortable with. It would have involved me having a visible gap at the front of my mouth until the Invisalign moved my teeth into a place they felt comfortable. I objected to this plan and asked for a flipper or something that would avoid me having a visible gap. Although Dr. McKenzie was reluctant to do so, she agreed to keep the baby tooth in place. In July 2022, I show up for my appointment to have my Invisalign placed in, and Dr. McKenzie asks me if I'm ready to remove my baby tooth. Of course, I immediately ask what do you mean? As we have already discussed this countless times. I had to have my Invisalign molds taken twice, and each time I was told the molds would be easier to take if they were able to remove my baby tooth, but I refused as I did not want to walk around with a gap.  Dr. McKenzie then states that she does not see the issue with me having a gap. I felt very vulnerable and frustrated that my concerns were unimportant. I said several times during this process since April 2022 why I was uncomfortable not having a visible gap at the front of my mouth. I left the appointment without the Invisalign and decided to seek a second and third opinion. In the meantime, I reached out to Dental 365 to discuss canceling the plan and receiving a refund for what I already paid.  It has been roughly a month, and I still have not heard back from Dental 365- Park Slope. I have since gone on to find an Orthodontist and Periodontist that were able to present me with a plan that would ensure I would not have a visible gap, which is all I asked for.  \ read more

Horrific experience. Gross misdiagnosis, wanted to pull two teeth that were not causing a problem. I went in the day before thanksgiving with pain in my lower left molar because my regular dentist couldn't fit me in. Dr. Mehrnaz Golmakani took x rays and did not examine my teeth besides that. she told me the problem was not my rear molar but 2 other teeth and both needed to be pulled immediately. I said i needed a second opinion. I toughed out the pain and saw my regular dentist who gave me an antibiotic and cleared up the infection in my rear molar that was causing the problem but didn't show up on an xray, he saw it by examining my teeth and saw that there was swelling. No teeth needed to be pulled. If i would have accepted Dr. Golmakani's diagnosis i would have lost two teeth that did not need to be pulled (my dentist says they're difficult but not hopeless) and i still would have had the infection in my rear molar which she didn't catch and was causing the pain. Be careful here and get a second opinion if they recommend any major work. I'll never go here again. read more

Reception: Cordial and helpful. They called the day after my initial visit to ask how I was doing. Hygienist: Professional - Dannick ) I hope I'm spelling his name correctly)explained what he was doing and why, but very gentle. My cleaning was painless and thorough. Dentist: She explained what she thought needed to be done without chastising me for the state of my teeth and gums. Scaling: The last time I had this done the pain of the injections was so bad that I cried. Not this time. Again, Dannick was gentle and thorough. It was completely painless. Dental Surgeon: After some discussion we agreed that I didn't need to immediately extract a tooth with a large old filling. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I look forward to returning and completing my scaling. These folks rock!!!!!!!!! read more

If you like good customer service, hate gaslighting, and want to avoid spending four Fridays at the dentist, then don't go to Dental365 at Park Slope. Granted, there's a lot to like about Dental365 - pleasant facilities, responsive reception, and easy to use appointment options. But after a rather harrowing experience there recently (and just coming back from a comparatively good experience at another office), I feel compelled to write a review for all the millennials and gen-zer's who will walk past the more established dentists in Park Slope to take up this sleek and modern facility. Note - this is just my one, specific experience, and is related to the particular dentist I saw, Dr. Shoykhet (not all of the dentists there or the entire operation as noted above). I came in for my standard six month check-up. I immediately picked up on my dentist's rather clipped bedside manner, but didn't think much of it at the time. In fact, I thought that perhaps what was lacking in warmth would be made up with via efficiency and professionalism. It certainly was an efficient experience - I was told that I need to "brush better", my gums were inflamed, and that I had a cavity that would need to be filled - which was unusual because I had been in six months prior and they hadn't noticed anything. I didn't expect to need any work done, so I scheduled for the next week to have my filling filled. I came back for my second appointment to have my filling filled, and there were more red flags from Dr. S. that her bedside manner was lacking. She kept telling me to "bite down", but then when I would bite down, she would say "no, bite normally". Rather than explain to me what exactly she wanted me to do, I had to repeatedly tell her that this was the way I bite, and that I didn't know what she wanted me to do. She wrapped up the filling and she told me that if the bite felt off, for me to come back and she would adjust. Immediately after the filling, I started to feel a sharp pain radiating from the tooth with the filling whenever I ate. At first, I thought that this might be normal since I hadn't had a filling in a while. But after a week or so of no relief, I was nervous that something was wrong. I scheduled another appointment (props to the reception staff who got me in very quickly). This term is overused these days, but my third appointment at Dental365 can only be called a gaslighting one. I explained the pain, and Dr. S said that she didn't know what the problem was because the filling was so small. She told me that there shouldn't be any pain, and she mentioned that my gums were still inflamed. She adjusted the bite and said that she could schedule an appointment to have the filling redone, but that I should cancel if the pain went away. At no point did Dr. S try to really get to the bottom of what the pain was - she didn't ask any questions about my type of sensitivity (cold or hot), how long the pain lasted, or really any sort of probing questions. After two weeks of experiencing tooth pain with no sign of it going away, and waiting an additional week than previously scheduled because Dental365 had to push back my appointment, I came in for my now fourth appointment at Dental365. I told Dr. S that I was still in pain. She again expressed her surprise at this. She told me that she would redo the filling and "we'll see". When I asked pointblank if that would do anything, she did not give me a straight answer. At this point I was so upset, and frightened about undergoing a procedure that might not do anything, that I told Dr. S that I felt like I deserved an apology for being in pain for so long. She responded by saying that she was sorry that I was in pain, but that there was nothing necessarily wrong with the filling. This got me even more nervous - if she was so confident that my filling wasn't causing the problem, then why would we even redo it? - but when I asked what else could be going on, Dr. S did not give me a straight answer. She vaguely referred to tests she could run to figure out was causing the pain, but she didn't immediately offer to do them at this appointment. After several back and forths, Dr. S said that she didn't feel comfortable doing the procedure because I was not "confident" in her. By this point, I was so heated that l left and asked the reception to put me in contact with the office manager (something I have never requested before). I then went to Dental Spa down the street and had the completely opposite experience. Dr. Sapienza examined me closely, asked me a lot of questions, and explained that while uncommon, the new white fillings can cause sensitivity to cold that can last for several months but eventually goes away. He also explained in depth the tests he would run if the pain lingered. Ultimately, perhaps I should thank Dental365 - for giving me the opportunity to become a real adult and - heaven forbid! - pick up the phone to schedule an appointment with an actual dentist. read more

I was referred by a friend and I'm glad I was. I was having a dental emergency and my problem was fixed ASAP. We also made a plan to continue work and fix the problem area. There was some confusion about where the prescription for my antibiotics was sent but it was sorted out quickly. Also, very affordable with dental insurance. My doctor asked me to get an x-ray of my sinus cavity and refereed 365. So I called the rude, arrogant, obnoxious woman on the front desk and she proceeded to keep asking me the same question 4 times. So you need an x-ray? what do you need? An x-ray? it was like talking to a toddler. Once I got me message across she proceeded to bark at me that they don't do this without a consultation (meaning UPCHARGE) . I tried to tell her that I was referred by an MD and do not need a consult nor do I appreciate the obvious overcharging. She started to yell at me when I questioned this so I just hung up. I awoke with a nice chunk of missing tooth. A deep filling from many years' ago apparently fell out. What to do?? I called Dental 365. Nicest staff--knowledgeable, polite, and accommodating. The space is modern, clean, and comfortable. Dr. McKenzie identified the issue immediately and said she could save the tooth. I needed a crown. I was fit with a temporary crown and will return for the permanent. I experienced zero discomfort or pain. And Dr. McKenzie is clearly skilled. She also has a good bedside manner. Alicia usually does my cleaning. I am extremely particular about who provides my service and I love to stick with someone I know, and I'm used to. She is nice, gentle and extremely knowledge so I am truly comfortable with her and it always a positive experience. Recently, I went in for a cleaning and was disappointed to learn that Alicia was not available at the time, so I had my appointment with Danick, and it was an awesome and positive experience as well. Danick was very gentle during my cleaning and told me some new cleaning tactics that I now practice every day. I felt very comfortable and was able to get over my previous disappointment. Today was my first visit to a dentist in easily about 30 years. I am 56 years old, and terrified of even saying the word dentist. I have a serious situation going on with a tooth in my mouth that could no longer be put off. I took a chance by calling Dental365. To my amazement not only were they open on Saturday, but they could take me with an appointment that day. As a large woman, I am always very wary of new places and my ability to be comfortable either with the people or the facility. I needn't have worried. I spoke to a young lady named Davina on the phone, who was extremely sympathetic and very encouraging of me to come in and have the problem tended to. When I walked into the office I was greeted by Maria who was very welcoming and very kind. There was no wait at all; the technician that initially worked on me was so infinitely Sweet in nature, I couldn't believe it. I'm pretty sure she saw me shaking and unable to catch my breath because I was so nervous. "Would you like a cup of water? Would you like some music? Or perhaps you'd like to watch little TV?" She asked me. I thought, well hey, a little TV would take my mind off of the bad news I was probably going to receive about my mouth. They had cable! While I was waiting in the chair for the results of my x-rays and The doctor to go over them with me, I settled in for a nice Shirley McClaine movie. I did not wait long to see the doctor, Dr. McKenzie. She also had an extremely calming tone in her voice, very relaxing and welcoming to me. The doctor kindly explained what the situation was with my mouth which happened to be a wisdom tooth that eventually will have to be extracted. She went through the treatment plan and had another appointment made for me to have the extraction done. All the while her tone was very concerned yet sympathetic and kind. By the time I left the office, I was feeling very little pain (the doctor gave me some meds until I could get my prescription filled), And I was actually smiling that I had made the right choice in choosing a dental office to go to in my hour of need. I feel like I have a new family because that is how they treated me. Would I recommend them? Is the sky blue? Guess what? Today is a gorgeous day, and the sky is indeed very blue. I needed an urgent root canal for a molar which is a headache and half to put it lightly. I am a medical resident, so time off to take care of my personal things is an issue. Dr. Shoykhet accommodated me on a very short notice and did an incredible job. She took some X-rays, explained my treatment options, what I needed and how long it would take. She was very patient with answering all of my questions. She has hands of gold. Anesthesia was painless and effective. My root canal was done and 10d later I had a perfectly fitted porcelain crown. He r assistant Sam is super nice, professional and made the transitions between procedures super easy. Not to mention helping me navigate through Netflix! I came here upon recommendation from my co-workers. A cap of a crown came out while flossing, and I made an appointment for the next day at this location. The receptionist at the front desk are very kind, streamlined and helpful with all the paperwork. After my consultation with the doctor, I got an estimate of the cost of the work which was not covered by insurance. I was a little caught off-guard, but thats because my insurance tends to cover most things. After a little investigation it was because my previous dentist had misfiled that they had worked on that tooth. I had to call back home to Florida for them to fix and reverse some payments with insurance. The whole time the office was very patient about my situation, kind and guiding me the right way. The doctor gave me a temporary cap and I will definitely be back for more work with them very soon. Awesome team! read more

Wow! Can this really be America?! I went to this dentist for the first time recently, on my new basic dental plan. For anyone on the Cigna basic plan, have a care: they say they cover "routine x-rays" but they only cover a specific type of x-ray called "bitewing". If you get a "comprehensive" set of x-rays, they won't cover that. However, this amazing dental office told me that "getting an accurate picture of my needs" was "more important" than what the plan covered or didn't cover, and DIDN'T CHARGE ME - in other words, my health was more important than their profit. They actually absorbed the cost of these x-rays FOR me. When have you ever heard of a dental office (or pretty much any business) doing that? What's more, this was not a one-off thing because someone was being nice that day. I was told very clearly that this is their across-the-board policy for all patients. If that weren't enough in itself, I should add that my visit was maybe the best I've ever had at a dentist's. Sparkling office, excellent Covid protocol, seen bang on time for my appointment, very kind front desk staff, and a technician who was chatty and so personable and made me laugh - and the cleaning was thorough but truly about as comfortable as it gets (which, okay, I still wouldn't call fun, but you know). It was just a routine annual cleaning/x-rays and I luckily don't have any significant problems, so my visit with the doc herself was very brief, but she had a very pleasant and professional manner also. It was my first trip to a dentist since Covid, so I was a wee bit angsty, but left feeling like I'd actually had a great start to the day. AND the next time my mother saw me she said "did you get your teeth whitened or something? They look great". So, they obviously did a bang-up job. In the beginning Dental365 was pretty good however starting from my second appointment my experience started becoming a disaster. I had a cleaning and general examination appointment and at the time one of my tooth was in pain, so I was excited for this appointment to learn about what was wrong with my tooth and in general for cleaning. I have bought a package and this cleaning and examination session was included. I confirmed this appointment through email and also I have confirmed it when the receptionist called me. I got a confirmation for my appointment and I came from Brooklyn for the appointment. When I arrived, the receptionist told me that she can't see my appointment in her system. I showed her the confirmation email but she said she can't do anything about it and I should book another appointment for another day. I told her that I hd to be seen that day because i had pain, she told me that I had to pay around $200 to be seen. After this horrible experience I still wanted to use my other cleaning appointment and went there again. The dentist told me that my teeth is clean enough thats why he won't clean them again. Then they took me to the financial room to talk about implant options. They told me It would cost me just the implant itself over 6k and its a great deal. This is by far the best dentist office I've been to. I originally came in for a cleaning and since then I've had multiple cleanings, x-Rays, check ups, fillings and even veneers done there. The cosmetic work turned out a million times better than I could have imagined thanks to Dr. Gohari! The dentists are talented, patient and attentive; the staff is friendly and welcoming; the office is clean and well maintained (plus they're equipped with TVs...always a good thing). In terms of pricing, the office worked with my insurance and was very forthcoming about out of pocket expenses prior to each of my visits. Overall, as good as it gets for a dentist visit. read more

I read the 5 stars reviews of this establishment and was convinced that I should bring my husband in for an emergency wisdom tooth extraction. I regret my decision. The thing I didn't realize with 365 dentists was that different dentists rotate in and out. The 5 star reviews I read were most about one particular doctor, who was not the physician my husband saw. I do agree with the reviews that staff is "friendly" which is an important aspect of the patient experience, but what is even more important is accuracy and procession. The dentist that saw my husband ended up with took X-rays and determined that my husband had a very strong teeth and saw it would be difficult to extract. At this point I believe an accomplished physician would have recommended and insisted upon an oral surgeon. She did give us the option but it retro spect should have made it the first and only option for him. My husband sat in the dentist chair for over 3 excruciating hours. I have never heard of a wisdom tooth extraction taking so long. I was also very upset with the fact that the doctor would abruptly walk away from my husband (4 or 5 times) during the procedure without communicating to him or I that she was leaving. She left him with his mouth full of blood several times to go and work on other patients. I know this because I was in the room with my husband and I could hear the grinding of her instruments on other patients. She took so long one time I had to ask the receptionist for water for husband because his mouth was so bloodied. I found this behavior to be extremely odd and very uncomfortable. In retrospect, I wish I had listened to that still small voice inside my head that told me to take my husband to the oral surgeon. If you want to use this service, Dr. S seems to be dentist that receives the 5 star ratings, however this was our first and last time. read more

Unfortunately my crown fell out on a holiday weekend. I called about eight 24/7 emergency dental places but they were all closed. I was grateful to find this office on google. It took about less than 1 hour for me to get an emergency appointment and receive my service. Very friendly staff, clean environment. Very expensive. Walk through the door costs $105.00 which includes 2 xrays. I needed a tooth that had fallen out, cemented back in. I didn't need xrays. Dentist insisted that in case there was an infection she need to do this before putting tooth back in. The tech acted like the first xray didn't work and took another which I'm sure was completely unnecessary. Something dishonest there. Cementing tooth in was $75.00. All together to cement a tooth in cost $180.00. Otherwise nice people working there. I was the only patient at 10:30 am with a staff of at least 6. I paid the bills this morning! read more
