I was referred by my Dentist after she found a loose crown while cleaning my teeth. I was treated very well. It was during Covid problem and there was a delay getting in. The crown actually fell out into my mouth while waiting for them to reopen. I was treated very well and everything was explained. Multiple visits due to needing a graft. I don't recall even having to take aspirins for pain. I can't even tell which tooth it was while looking in the mirror. I would highly recommend them. I'm considering going back as I have missing teeth in the back of my mouth. read more

I've had 2 wisdom teeth procedures now with Dr. Marshall and I have always been pleased. I've always been greeted and treated kindly by office staff. I could not recommend Dr. Marshall more. Both procedures were done beautifully and I've healed very quickly. He takes time to educate and assure patients with questions. read more

The worst dental surgeon I've ever been to. The office is chaotic with nothing going on. They sent me a bill instead of telling me the full amount up front. And when I went for the check up a week or two after, they didn't take the stitches out, and I had to remove them myself. Find somewhere else. read more

Went in for a 5 minute evaluation/consult with Dr Ashrafi. X-Rays were brought from APPT from primary dentist. No examination was necessary or done. The doctor looked at my X-Ray, peaked in my mouth and said, "should be an easy surgery, let's get you out front and scheduled". Spent about 15mins at the front desk discussing insurance and to see if they would cover as medically necessary. After discussing insurance, the front desk said they would submit to united health to see if it was covered. About 2 Months passed before I had to call the office to see what the story was with my insurance. Not long after speaking with them again I received a bill in the mail for $85 for "new patient evaluation, 5 minutes" My problem is NOT with the bill...my problem is why did they wait 2 months to mail me one? If there was a cost or charge for the service, it should have been collected on the service date. Just like a copay, payment for service (if any) is usually collected ON the service date. I should have been made aware that there was a charge for a 5 minute talk with the doctor and that it wouldn't be done as a professional courtesy like MOST other medical facilities. However, there was nothing of such. Megan in billing staff was nothing short of condescending and rude when I contacted the office biling department to dispute. When I asked to speak to a supervisor or an office manager, I was told there was none, and that there was no one I could speak to in the office that was in a higher position than Megan; they were her equal coworkers. I understand. I then asked who the owner of the practice was and was told Dr John Marshall. Megan proceeded to tell me Dr Marshall would not get on the phone regarding medical billing disputes, but oat this point it is so much more than that. I was then told I could speak to the other woman in the billing department, but she would tell me the same thing. I am nothing but disgusted with this office and the "patient care" I received. Would NOT recommend this office to friends or family and will absolutely go out of my way to never have to visit this practice again. read more

I couldn't have chosen a better place to have my wisdom teeth removed. I looked for reviews on Yelp and found Dental Surgeons of Fall River with one 5 star review. Then come to find out my best friend had her wisdom teeth removed from this same place and told me to definitely go here and see Dr. John Marshall DMD. I went in for my consultation... the place doesn't look like much from the outside, but indeed was very neat and clean inside. I met Dr. Marshall and he was very informative. Told me whats wrong with my teeth, what they'll need to do, how they'll do it, types of anesthesia I can choose from, possible things that can happen after the surgery etc etc. He asked if I had any questions and was made sure I was comfortable with my knowledge on the procedure before going through with it. I made an appointment to come back at the end of the week to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. They gave me 2 Valiums to go home with and take an hour before my procedure. So its time to go, and I'm already feeling nice when mom brings me to the office. The nurse walks me into the procedure room we start chatting and that's the last I remember. Apparently I started talking in my sleep under the anesthesia and the nurse laughs tells me it happens all the time that I am all set to go home. Its over?? That's it?? That seemed so quick. I had my mom on one side of me and the nurse on the other side of me holding me up and walking me outside to the car. I made it!! Yay! Didn't remember a thing, and was knocked out the entire time of the procedure. Thank youuuu Dr. Marshall!!! He prescribed me with 3 medications,.. one for perks, penicillin and something for swelling so my face wouldn't blow up like a chipmunk. And to be honest, I didn't swell up! Day 1 took awhile for me to stop bleeding, so my mom called the dental office and they recommended teabags on my gums and if that didnt get the bleeding to slow down I'd have to go back in. Well, here I am, day 3 and I'm still doing good. I've been surviving off of the following: Water, Tapiaco Pudding, Sherbet, Popsicles, Spaghetti O's, Panera Mac and Cheese, Yogurt, Applesauce etc etc... I absolutely recommend Dr. John Marshall at Dental Surgeons of Fall River to anyone in this area. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. read more

I was referred to this office by my dentist for a consultation with Dr. Marshall for a wisdom tooth extraction. His office made sure to squeeze me in (even though he was booked up until the end of February) because I was having some discomfort. I had my consultation just 4 days later.. Dr. Marshall reviewed my pano X-rays thoroughly and discussed my options for the surgery. He addressed every pro and con of having my wisdom teeth extracted and also answered every question I had. After about a 10-15 minute consultation, I scheduled my surgery with him. Day of surgery: FYI I have severe anxiety when it comes to any operation, his office made it a priority to make me feel comfortable and calm my mind. I arrived at their office 45 minutes early to go over my procedure and prep me for the operation. They put lidocaine cream on both arms for a painless IV (we all know IVS can hurt, so this was great). A little while passes and now I'm ready for my surgery. This is when the anxiety started kicking in, his nurses held my hand to comfort me through out the entire process and until I fell asleep. I vaguely remember bits and pieces of what happened. Either way it was completely painless. All I remember was feeling some pressure, then stitches went in and boom I was awake. I woke up and the first thing I said was "wow that only took 5 minutes!" And the nurse said "you were under for about an hour" .. I literally couldn't believe it. His nurse and my boyfriend then helped walk me to my car and I was on my way. I had little to no bleeding after and absolutely no swelling. I didn't even need to take the pain medication they prescribed me! I was so impressed with everything about this office, from the design on the inside (which is absolutely beautiful) to the way they treat their patients, it was overall a great experience. Long story short, I absolutely recommend anyone who needs their wisdom teeth extracted/any oral surgery to come to this office. The staff is amazing. They're all so welcoming and eager to help you/ease your mind if you have any concerns. Thank you Dr. Marshall and thank you to your staff for being awesome! read more

Dental Surgeons of Fall River is our families go to medical facility for anything Dental related. I myself had my 4 wisdom teeth removed at an adult age which can be problematic. I received the utmost respect from anyone and everyone in the office from front office staff to each Doctor I came into contact with. Multiple family members have been treated at Dental Surgeons with the same exact care I experienced myself.
