Last summer I went for my routines, and they insisted that I needed a special dental x-ray series. I told them that I had done them 2 years previously to remove a vertically broken rear tooth and had to see a specialist in Norwich because I have AFIB and am on Eliquis to prevent blood clotting. Delta Dental informed me when I called that they only cover this special testing every 4 years. I told the Killingly people this repeatedly because I am a 73-yr old senior, retired and on a fixed income and wanted no additional costs for care. I have no dental issues now and have had none since the broken tooth years ago. There was no reason for this additional test. They assured me there would be no costs for me, but when I was leaving the office, they told me I had a co-pay due. I told them I never had a co-pay for check-up and cleaning, so they needed to straighten out the problem with Delta Dental. Since that time Killingly dental has repeatedly harassed me with texts and emails and when I called them, I was never permitted to speak with billing, so I left messages repeatedly. No one ever bothered to call me and talk to me. until this week. They repeatedly bombarded me with bills in email and text by third party collections. So, I tried to have MY records transferred to the new dentist and Killingly THEN put a charge of $145 on my debit card. Miraculously I was able to be connected to the Billing 'manager' at that point. She proceeded to blame Delta Dental and refused to give me back my money. She also told me she would be emailing me the Delta Dental info she had. SHE NEVER DID. I told her I would be notifying all Eastern CT via YELP, Next Door, Facebook, Google Review and others. They had hundreds of thousands of dollars to renovate their facility (make it SOOOOOOO pretty and increase the attraction of patients to make more DOLLARS). Perhaps they should have invested in new dental equipment for Intraoral Imaging and modern x-ray equipment. Beware they only want your money. BTW after repeated requests to have MY dental records transferred, they have refused to do so. And lastly, I am now in the process of disputing the charge with Beacon Bank. As of 3/14 9:00am I have 766 reads just on Next Door. Below is the response I received the day after I posted this to Google Review. I will not be contacting them ever again. Dear Linda, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for trusting us with your care over the past 10 years. We are truly sorry to hear about your frustrating experience with the billing and communication regarding your recent visit, as well as the unexpected out-of-pocket costs. We deeply regret that this fell short of the clear, compassionate, and reliable service we strive to provide to every patient, especially our long-term ones like you. We take matters of billing, insurance coordination (including with Delta Dental), and patient communication very seriously. While we cannot discuss individual details publicly due to privacy guidelines, we would greatly appreciate the opportunity to review your concerns personally and work toward a fair resolution. Please feel free to reach out directly to me as the owner or our office manager Keri and we will prioritize speaking with you. Your input helps us improve, and we remain committed to serving our community with the highest standards of complete health dentistry and patient-centered care. We hope to have the chance to regain your confidence. Warm regards, Allison White, D.M.D. Killingly Dental Care Owner Dentist

I would never go back to this place. Everything about this place smells of greed. Furthermore, in…read moremy opinion Dr. Graley is not professional. She has a very demeaning way of speaking with you, zero respect especially for elders. Dr Graley proceeded to pull a piece of my tooth that broke with no Novocain. At this point I screamed from her tugging away to no avail. My gum started bleeding, and she yells at me for using the napkin. Only then when she noticed all the pain she caused did she use numbing medicine after I told her to use it. Never again, lesson learned.

They got me in right away and I was welcomed as though I've been a patient there for years! I figured my dental work would've taken a couple of visits but to my surprise he did the procedure on the spot! To my amazement the work done on my chipped front teeth was awesome! Now I can smile in public again and have that confident feeling I missed the last couple of years. I want to thank Dr. Sheffield and the staff at Kimbal Sheffield DDS for a pleasant experience! In the day and age we live in, it's hard to come across that sometimes. I look forward to keeping up with my dental needs now that I have had a great visit.

The oral surgeon removed one and told me it was okay (thank goodness). I was supposed to go back and get more lesions removed. When it was time for my appointment, I received a call , just minutes before my appointment, saying that they were finished with my care and I would need to go elsewhere . I have seen six providers, 3 of which have told me to get this done ASAP. Two have told me to be aware that this could be carcinoma. I am trying to take this seriously but it is hard when the doctor gives up on me. I am not sure why what my outcome will be, but I don't think the doctor has the right to throw people away . I would not recommend this practice.

The Dentist at Unique Dental of Putnam told me she had to have two teeth pulled and that she needed FIVE fillings. I was skeptical of her needing fillings because she brushes regularly and we take pretty good care of her teeth. I got an appointment with a different (pediatric) dentistry office (went today) and the dentist there told me that it's quite normal for the second set of teeth on the bottom to come in behind the baby teeth. He said we didn't have to pull any teeth and that her baby teeth on the bottom would fall out in about three months. He also said she didn't have any cavities. Just very mild staining on two teeth. Can you believe the Guy at Unique dental wanted to pull two of my daughters teeth and drill and fill five others? For What? A few dollars? What a sadistic dirt-bag.
