So far the experience has been pleasant, the office is very clean with a very nice waiting room that has a feel of your very own living room. The staff here is very polite. You are required to wear a mask here . I personally don't have a problem with that. Great idea. This office is in a prime location with plenty of parking. It was very easy to get here.we arrived a little earlier to fill out some paperwork. Just a few questions. Within ten minutes they have come to get my wife for the procedure. So far I'm sitting here praying for God's divine help, that all this goes smoothly for my precious wife sake. I know that Gods is with us today. Why? Because I called on him. So I shall continue to write as soon as I see my precious wife. Hang on friends. The procedure took an hour and a half, but was well worth it. My wife said that everyone was excellent. Hallelujah! My prayers were answered again. Thank you Jesus Always! My wonderful wife says she highly recommends this place to everyone who needs a root canal done. After roughly 22 years, a root canal I had from a previous dentist failed. It was spotted on X-ray…read morefrom my current periodontist and cosmetic dentist roughly in 2013 however. They had watched it continuously yearly. It decided it was "not playing games anymore" and I knew it was infected. I went to urgent care and all the doctor had to do was look at my gums near that tooth to know there was an issue. She prescribed Augmentin. As the tooth had the root canal, I didn't have an idea an infection was there, until the day after Christmas. I couldn't bend down without it throbbing. I couldn't touch way up at the root area without it hurting, and because of where the tooth is located, I couldn't smile or laugh without pain. This Endo Group got me in ASAP so that Dr. Choi could look at it. X-rays were taken, and he confirmed that there was indeed an infection, and that the best option at this juncture would be a procedure in layman's terms, where they go into the gum and clean out all the diseased and infectious tissue, cut a small part of the tip of your root off, and then fill the top off so that nothing gets back down into the root. Dr. Choi did state that he doesn't preform this particular procedure and that only Dr. Nagel does, so they booked me with Dr. Nagel very quickly too considering this was all during the holidays for another consult. Dr. Nagel stated he could perform it after looking at my X-rays and the tooth, and conveyed to me that if I desired to get this tooth fixed more quickly, he worked mostly out of the Framingham office. (I did meet with him and Dr. Choi originally in Milford) When I asked the scheduling department what they could do, luckily for me someone canceled, and I could have the procedure done the day after I saw Dr. Nagel, but in Framingham. The procedure was painless as Dr. Nagel knows exactly how much local is needed, & I felt nothing. The procedure was also extremely quick. You're booked for an hour, but most of that is simply prep (numbing) and it felt like he wasn't in my mouth that long. When we did speak during consult, I did convey to him, that I am the type of individual that doesn't desire a play by play of what someone is doing in my mouth as I suffer from panic attacks. He stated he would only tell me when he needed to leave to take X-rays, which made me feel better. He also asked me NUMEROUS times how I was doing. So he not only performed a pain free surgical procedure, but he made sure that you were doing well every step of the way. They even gave you a blanket if you felt cold. There was ZERO bleeding afterwards because of the cauterizing he did as well. So you're not walking out with a whole bunch of gauze. Or blood all over your lips. He prescribed Amoxicillin, a prescription mouth wash, and I don't like pain killers, so he gave me 800 ibuprofen which you don't even need to take much of it. I'm on day 5 of healing, and I think I took 1 for three days. Not the 2 as I didn't need it. It's healing outside of the gum wonderfully. You wouldn't know he did anything to you. He did inform me on what to expect. I had no bruising which I was happy about (but he stated that could occur), minor swelling that has went down to almost nothing. He genuinely cares about his patients and their concerns. He listens attentively, and you will see that, as he's performing your procedure (whether it's a root canal, or an apic that I had performed) that he listens to all your fears and makes sure you are doing wonderfully every step of the way. He's excellent in post op care instructions, so you know exactly what to expect and what you can and can't do. If I ever need another root canal or this particular procedure, I would not hesitate to book him in a heartbeat. Thank you Dr. Nagel for being an exceptional doctor. It is appreciated more than you'll ever know.

Everything was explained before and during, which made the process so much easier. Dr. Kraut also uses the gate control theory (applying vibration to the cheek) while doing the numbing injections, which made them completely unable to be felt. The numbing injections are usually the most painful part of any dental procedure for me, so I was shocked to feel absolutely nothing. I wish more dental offices would understand and apply gate control theory methods when administering injections, because it makes them painless. I felt no pain during or even after the root canals were finished. Nobody likes a root canal, but Dr. Kraut makes the experience extremely pleasant. The office is also very clean and contemporary and the front desk people are very nice. Can't recommend this place enough!

Dawn has 30+ years in that office and was sympathetic to my situation. This is a long post for those who have trauma or sensory issues - please read. I went to this office because I am an adult with trauma. I didn't go to the dentist until I was 11 and having my teeth cleaned took 4x due to swelling and cavities. It was horrific. Recently I had a crown at Aspen Dental after leaving a dentist in Griswold due to coverage changes and they said I had $12K of work to be done with cracked teeth that didn't show on xrays (later found out upon returning to Griswold Dentist). They did the first crown at Aspen and I had unexplainable trauma as I started to cry and felt a panic attack. I also had wisdom teeth out when I was 20 and they gave me a shot of novocaine to the roof of my pallet that I almost passed out as I suffer from sensory issues. Later, I found out later this is one of the main reasons women have trauma in a chair from sexual trauma and I was molested and raped when I was younger. So, I knew I needed to have potential laughing gas (nitrous oxide) and wanted a dentist that is emphatic and understood the situation. Dr. Tran had Ashley assist in the procedure and she was very nice and understood my needs. I brought earbuds and listened to music so I didn't hear them. Dr. Tran and I talked before about the complexities of my issues and she was so sympathetic and touched by what I shared - not making me feel bad for having hangups about my needs. During the procedure, she explained everything but I didn't want to know and said to just do it. She did not have to give me a shot to the roof of my mouth, nor did I need nitrous. I needed trust in knowing I was safe. I had a major abscess in that tooth and it's been 1 week out and I am thrilled to say I feel great. I would drive for hours to see her if needed. She's an incredible person....and an expert in her field. I can't say enough good things about this office. I have a child with sensory issues and know Parents are always looking for experts in field who can work with those that are sensitive - she and their office would be the ones that fit this need. For nearly 10 years I used Killingly Dental for checkups and cleanings. I never had to pay out of…read morepocket since Delta Dental covered me. Last summer I went for my routines and they insisted that I needed a special dental xray series. I told them that I had them done 2 years previously to remove a vertically broken rear tooth and had to see a specialist in Norwich because I have AFIB and am on Eliquis to prevent blood clotting. Delta Dental informed me when I called that they only cover this special testing every 4 years. I told the Killingly people this repeatedly because I am a 73 yr old senior, retired and on a fixed income and wanted no additional costs for care. I have no dental issues now and had none since the broken tooth years ago. There was no reason for this additional test. They assured me there would be no costs to me but when I was leaving the office they told me I had a co-pay due. I told them I never had a co-pay for check-up and cleaning so they needed to straighten out the problem with Delta Dental. Since that time Killingly dental has repeated harrassed me with texts and emails and when I called them I was never permitted to speak with billing so I left messages repeatedly. Noone ever bothered to call me and talk to me. until this week. They repeatedly bombarded me with bills in email and text by third party collections. So I had my records transferred to my new dentist and Killingly THEN put a charge of $145 on my debit card. and miraculously I was able to be connected to the Billing 'manager' . She proceeded to blame Delta Dental and refused to give me back my money. She also told me she would be emailing me the Delta Dental info she had. SHE NEVER DID. I told her I would be notifying all of Eastern CT via YELP, Next Door,Facebook, GoogleReview and others. They had hundreds of thousands of dollars to renovate their facility, make it sooo pretty and to increase the number of patients to make more DOLLARS. Beware they only want your money.

They got me in right away and I was welcomed as though I've been a patient there for years! I figured my dental work would've taken a couple of visits but to my surprise he did the procedure on the spot! To my amazement the work done on my chipped front teeth was awesome! Now I can smile in public again and have that confident feeling I missed the last couple of years. I want to thank Dr. Sheffield and the staff at Kimbal Sheffield DDS for a pleasant experience! My dentist referred me to WE to get a 3D x-ray to determine if root canal was feasible (visible…read morecracks above gum; through-the-cheek x-ray looked OK, but 3D shows more). WE refused to do the 3D x-ray. When pressed, she said she could do the 3D x-ray after doing a root canal - if I wanted it. [Why do the test to see if root canal is feasible AFTER the root canal?] Instead, she duplicated the through-the-cheek x-ray that the dentist had done a few days earlier. [Supposedly, ADA recommendations on lead shielding have been relaxed because, among other things, with digital x-rays, there's no need for duplicates. WE doesn't use lead shields AND does unnecessary x-rays.] Then, WE did the same exam that the dentist had done - though following an inflexible procedure: Positioned my arm on my leg and said to raise it if I felt pain. Tapped on a different tooth. I looked at her and said, "Of course it doesn't hurt; you're tapping on the wrong tooth." She started over again, placing my arm on my leg... I glared at her as she tapped on the wrong tooth again. Eventually, she tapped on the tooth that I had gone to her for, and I raised my hand. Sprayed something like liquid nitrogen on the tooth to determine temperature sensitivity. Then declared "The roots are dead; I'll do a root canal.". [Never checked the roots themselves.] Charged $355 to do what the dentist had already done (for less money).... I found another endodondist who did the 3D x-ray. I suspect my dentist referred me because WE is owned by the same chain that bought my dentist's practice. I'll start looking for another dentist, now. The stupidity continues. I got a phone call from them about the above review. They claimed that they were trying to save me money by not doing the 3D x-ray. Then, why did she offer to do it AFTER the root canal? Then, the 3D x-ray would have been a complete waste. She also said that the through-the-cheek x-ray wasn't good enough. [Why not mention that?] I brought up the fact that, in the waiting area, I was notified that they were running late 35 minutes after my appointment time. I tried to explain that the time to tell a patient that you're running late is at or before the time at which they are late. She tried to justify giving notification after it's become obvious. They just don't get it. I just hung up.

My appointment with the oral surgeon is next week and I called Dr. Stern to please prescribe me an antibiotic because my tooth is infected. I am running a low grade fever. Guess what she called me and I I advised her what was going on. All I need is an antibiotic to relief the pain. Dr Stern stated she would have to call me back which she did NOT. Because she stands to not make anymore money on my visit Dr Stern choses to leave me in severe pain. All I asked for was an antibiotic.

I had just had a root canal a few months before elsewhere and it took 2.5 hours and they did a mediocre job. Dr. Nagel's work healed great and my other dentist who did the bridge was very happy with his work as well. I've told my friends that if they ever need a root canal, Dr. Nagel should be their first choice.

Saw Dr. Greg Nagel for an angry tooth. My dentist gave him a call because I was having pain in a…read moretooth adjacent to a tooth that was extracted and had a subsequent bone graft. The adjacent tooth was very painful and the pain was not getting better. There was a concern that a root canal might be needed. Dr Nagel and his team got me in right away and did testing on the tooth, took a 3D scan and reg X-rays. After thoughtful review and with an understanding of medications I am taking he concluded that all would be ok with time. Use the Advil as needed and time will heal the tooth. He was spot on. I appreciated that he didn't rush into a root canal and he really took the time to assess the situation. He saw me a second time, 10 days later just to make sure all ok. So happy my dentist recommended and personally reached out to Dr Nagel on my behalf. Grateful to both
