I came here about 2 or 3 times for a cleaning due to insurance changes while in grad school. Dr…read more Guzman is very friendly but unfortunately this place is a mess. The office is clean and welcoming. The receptionists do their best but I've had an hour wait time minimum each time and I couldn't afford for my time to keep being disrespected like that when I'm used to top service at my regular dental office. Additionally, the cleaning I received was not up to my standards. Thankfully my new insurance allows me to go back to my original dental office because this place is not it.

Since then the attention of this place changed drastically; From the point where they organized an appointment for me on a Saturday, which they confirmed the day before and when I arrived at the place it was closed. No one bothered to let me know that they were not working. But the most unpleasant experience was with this Dr. Guzman whom I admired. In one of the routine visits, I told her about a pimple or lump on the gum above a tooth, I showed her that that part was painful. Her response was, we can check it later, for now we are going to offer you the exchange of a crown for another tooth (which did not hurt and was still fine) for the price of $4000. Completely ignoring my state of health. I recently visited another local dentist and just by taking the x-rays, he identified the problem, he immediately informed me of what to do, the problem that caused it and the treatment he would use as well as the payment facilities. We have already started treatment, which makes me feel safe and calm, because this doctor shows interest in my health. Not in selling me a product.

From my very first visit, I was surprised at how little time the dentist spent with me. That only got worse over time. One filling turned into the most painful, drawn-out dental procedure I've ever had--and it wasn't even a complex one. I also raised concerns about teeth grinding and shifting, and was completely dismissed without any real discussion. I left that appointment feeling brushed off and unheard. Scheduling was another major issue. They couldn't accommodate a standard six-month cleaning schedule, booked me eight months out, and when I asked to be put on a cancellation list, they never followed up. Then they canceled on me two days before my appointment. At that point, I gave up. It's clear there are some kind and well-meaning people on staff, but my experience with the dentist and overall care was disappointing and, frankly, frustrating. I'm moving on to a new provider.

I received a snide attitude I received the other day asking about the best time to come that might be better for parking than others. I was so scared of going to the dentist after a horrific experience ~5 years ago. However, I knew I needed to go in, and after receiving a promotional consultation flier and reading the wonderful reviews, I decided to go for it. I am so happy I did! Not only was every step of the process clearly explained to me, but the entire staff (including Dr. Gupta, his reception staff, and the dental assistants and hygienists), were extraordinarily kind and accommodating. I was very scared and anxious about the work I needed done on my teeth, but those fears were quickly alleviated by the level of care I received. I was also explained in-depth the cost and offered a couple of different payment options before my treatment, which was very helpful. The clean, modern office was very impressive. Dr. Gupta's aptitude for painless anesthesiology and his quick, precise work made a procedure which I feared for years extremely easy to get through. He also took photos of the before/after work, which was personally very interesting to see. He has excellent "bedside" manner, never making me feel rushed with and taking the time to fully answer all questions I had. I will never go to another dentist again! Thank you Dr. Gupta and your wonderful staff.

Extremely predatory scheduling tactics. They had me go in for an "emergency" that was not even an emergency, and waited until I was already finished with the appointment to tell me that taking a piece of food out of my tooth would count as my visit- leaving out the fact that I was scheduled for a regular checkup the following week. This is not the first time situations like this have happened and the woman who is the office manager has been extremely rude while smirking over these issues. After 5 years at a dentist office I really loved, I feel taken advantage of and screwed out of my regular checkup. Would not recommend this office. I want to be clear - The dental hygienist staff are amazing - they are not part of this bad review. And until this date, I had no negative interactions with this dentist office outside of the office manager making snotty comments such as "only people with money can afford to have teeth."

Firstly, the place is super modern, clean and a pleasant office to be in. Really helps when you're going in for dental procedures! For cleanings, I've had Aimee (the one that used to work in SF) and she's wonderful. Just like my great experience in SF, the cleaning is not stressful and actually quite delightful. She also shows the problem areas that I've had with plaque build up. For other dental operations, I've had Dr. Kwak. She is truly an amazing dentist and person. I had to get some cavities filled in between my back two teeth. I've got quite a bad gag reflex so you can imagine how bad it is to do anything back there. The procedure was quite a struggle for me, having to take breaks and triggering my gag reflex. Dr. Kwak was super calm the entire time and was not annoyed or frustrated at the situation. Her attention to detail for making the patient comfortable is super admirable. When numbing your teeth, she hides the needle out of your view - something small, but helps the patient not freak out. I had to come back for a refilling due to a gap. I was honestly terrified of the operation given what I experienced the first time. But she managed to complete the whole operation in less than 10 minutes and it was 10000x better than I anticipated. It's a bit inconvenient for me to come, but given my experiences here, I'd come back again and again. And possibly even look forward to it.

I scheduled fillings specifically around insurance coverage, but when I arrived I was booked for a completely different procedure that my dentist had never explained to me. I then received appointment reminders for visits I never scheduled, and when I called they admitted it was a mistake. I was also told I owed a balance that I had already paid in full (my insurance reimburses me after the fact), and the office could not clearly explain why the charge appeared or why they told me I had already paid. I was then told that they forgot to submit my claim to my insurance. My hygienists were great, but I don't recommend this office if you have anxiety or don't have time to constantly correct scheduling/billing issues yourself.
